Cannot remove adware win32/opencandy

I am trying to remove adware win32/opencandy with the basics of microsoft security
After I removed and restarted the computer he reinstals himself a minute later

It claims here - https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?Name=Adware%3aWin32%2fOpenCandy - MSE update and run a scan completes, and then clear all temporary folders including temp IE.

If it does not, then download, install, update (updated by right-clicking on its icon and 'run as administrator' then go to the update tab) and run a complete scan with free malwarebytes.

MSE has detected and deleted & quarantined OpenCandy to my PC, it was in an installation program that I downloaded a program that I wanted to.

  • How to remove adware Win32/double

The result of a systematic scan with the Windows Live Safety Scanner was that my PC has been infected by adware Win32/double - and that the scanner could not remove it.

The message recommended using Microsoft Essentials, but this did not remove the adware. I also tried Windows Defender, removal tool malicious software from Microsoft, and several other programs, including Norton and some well-known free programs. None of them found Win32/double - if, of course, they could not remove it.

Could someone please give me some advice on how to get rid of it? I would be very grateful

OpenCandy is a potentially unwanted software that might collect information about you or your computer or can change how your computer works. However, the software works in accordance with the license displayed when you installed the software.  It is detected by Microsoft as a threat of LOW level that could potentially be ignored by the parser of security or, if you have selected the option under settings to perform the default 'recommended action' value for low level threats when using MSE.

Link to FAQ to see Jim for information about removing Opencandy Installer.  You can also try the operation of the Scanner mode command line to remove potentially unwanted software low level of threat by opening a CMD command prompt in the folder where the executable file scanner is stored on disk, and then run ODILE/f: y

Note: 09/07/2011, I tried the CMD prompt above with the safety scanner.  It would not yet remove the low level Installer Opencandy.  Your best bet is to just manually delete the Opencandy installer when using the Scanner, as it is the only place of the disc where the adware is detected...

  • Cannot remove adware UniDeals

a few days ago, so I started to notice that unideals adds that appear in chrome and firefox. I Googled, managed to turn it off to never reappear in firefox, but it persists in chrome. I already delete the unideals folder in the x 86 files. and the program is not listed in Add/Remove programs. Unfortunately, my computer has never done a restore point. (I've had it for 4 months and it has never created a restore point)? so I can't just restore my computer I would most certainly. How can I get rid of this piece of and get an adware antivirus? I did 2 full crawls of windows defender, but is not picking anything up.

    Hello:

Full instructions rather with screenshots to manually remove the UniDeals from your system and your browser is found in this article from Feb, 2015:

    www.pcrisk.com/.../8664-ads-by-unideals

This article also describes how you probably installed this pest (usually bundled with other freeware and is installed by default when you select 'Quick' or 'typical' installation option) and how to avoid this in the future.

Another option that I personally use to remove the adware and can recommend, is the cleaner adware free AdwCleaner. Here are instructions on how to download and use this utility:
    www.bleepingcomputer.com/.../adwcleaner

I don't think that a virus is sufficient to block the adware these days. I use the Adblock Plusfree browser extension, which is available for all major browsers, including Chrome and Firefox. You can get it here:
    https://adblockplus.org/en/

Not that I can find a "manually change the files' on the site of the add-on.

I can find a manually records sort that does exactly what it says, but does not add and the columns you show. I can also find "additional folder columns" which aims to give your comments headers. The page Add on like the third picture shows a right click option or click to turn on the power on and off columns.

  • Cannot remove the ghost folder. Error message: there is no such mailbox

When I configure Thunderbird to connect to my Alpine Webmail, I had to rearrange my folders. Cannot remove a folder titled "mail" because according to TB "there is no such mailbox" but still shows on the tab my folders. I read through the previous discussions and have tried to unsubscribe the ghost folder, but that did not work or the other. I have a Mac OSX if this affects what it is. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you.

Hello world. I solved the problem... somehow. By removing the account of Treasury Board and put in place again, TB has been able to sync with the files that were on Alpine. The ghost folder still presented (despite not existing not not on the Alpine site), but by changing the directory to the IMAP server of "mail" to "mailbox" the ghost folder disappeared. I found myself with records who have been named oddly (most likely due to the change of the name of directory) so when I changed the IMAP server directory to "mail" it reset my files with the way they were, with the exception of the ghost folder, that was no longer there. I'm not entirely sure why it worked, but in case someone else has a similar problem, I recommend to give it a try.

Thank you all for your comments and help.
