  I just spent 3 hours manually rename a bunch of files.  I went to the bridge to finish with a batch renaming and it wiped out all of my manual work.  I am a person of attention to detail, but I found it incredibly easy to make mistakes in the bridge.  Many of my files are very long and the display is truncated, but I assumed that it is above all a user error.  I think I put it in right place, but the bridge is in disagreement with my method.

  I don't see a cancellation.  CTRL-Z did not.  Don't see a revert.  Don't see anything useful for the non-doing.  I tried Ctrl-Z in Windows, also did not work.

  All have suggestions?  I'm on CS6/Windows.

  When you use rename batch it is advisable to check 'preserve the current file name in XMP metadata. "

  Don't believe so, frankly, it's the wrong type of program for what you are looking for.  I guess that the other Photoshop android app would be more likely to offer this feature (although in my opinion, that is not either).

  I had no luck with the sidecar xmp files relative in any product, including the prelude, Premiere Pro, Lightroom or bridge.

  Okay, I found the outline of the bug. I was initially on the assumption that the question was how the XMP was written by Daminion. This is not the case. Their XMP seems fine. The bug is with the way we are going to analyze these JVC AVCHD files. It will take some research more sort everything, but at least now I'm on the right track. I tested the creation of metadata for a variety of other files AVCHD from Canon and Sony. All these files caused first create the XMP files with the name xxx.xmp. But, when I added the metadata in the JVC, the xmp always emerged as xxx.mts.xmp file. Then... I did some more tests with the file. If the extension of the file to rename. MPG, suddenly all the XMP you added the file in Daminion appeared. All the new metadata that I created has also been added to this file.

  It seems that there is a specific bug in our file for this JVC AVCHD flavor Analyzer. I'll get this connected and see if I can get it fixed. In the meantime, you can rename the file extension. MPG, if you want to read your existing metadata. Or... you can add to the file xxx.mts.xmp.

• The bridge is SLOW!

  I posted this before, never got a response-

  I can't believe how SLOW this new version of the bridge is.

  If I batch rename, say 70 the 1DSMKIII .dng files (about 21-26 MB each), I can go to lunch & come back 45 minutes later, and it still works. Without exaggeration.

  If I have the label, say 10 of these files, it takes about 3 minutes to "update settings.".

  The speed is about the same file of the 5 d (MKI) and a Panasonice LX3. I only RAW format & convert to DNG on import from the camera.

  I'm on a Mac Pro Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 3 GHz, 17 GB of RAM. Mac OSX.5.8.

  I upgraded my MacBook Pro to OSX.6.3. The computer runs faster, the bridge is still as slow as ever.

  I deslected 'keep 100% previews in Cache' and ' export automatically hides records.

  I set the maximum cache size, drained and purged the cache several times.

  I am also under the 64 bit version of Photoshop CS5, so what matters. Version 4.0.4.2 bridge. Camera Raw version 6.4

  Also, the thumbnails do not reflect real Camera Raw settings unless I opt for "generate high Qaulity miniature". It takes even longer!

  I also just timed it. It took 4 seconds to simply rotate a .dng 1DSMKIII 20 MB image. It took 56 seconds to apply a custom 19 images white balance. Averages 20 frames per minute... I wait too long?

  No, it's clearly something wrong with your installation or your free space on the disk.

  Using the same DNG files as you do it takes only max 1 minute rename them (if first, after adding metadata this economy takes the time to a minute and then name change is just in a few seconds).

  First check the free space on your drive and also a report on the way in which you have installed both versions on both computers (were you using carbon copy or copy applications after the installation rather than use clean install from scratch).

  Also check your permissions of drive on both drives.

  64-bit only works in OS 10.6 to my knowledge, but you should have no problems when you use 10.5 with CS5.

  With less then 10% free space is often at the origin of the disorder.

  Exit the bridge,

  caches of library user files go to CS5 Adobe/Bridge / and here remove the two plug in and manual cache folder in the Recycle Bin

  preferences of the library even to find the file: "com.adobe.bridge4.plist", and also that drag to the trash.

  (all deleted files refresh themselves with the new value by default those after you restart bridge)

  Then restart bridge by pressing the option key and click on reset Preferences.

  then try again. If it works game Pref again to your wishes and it should still work as promised.

  I have LR 2.6 on my Mac.  I import images RAW in LR, let the LR to build 1:1 previews.  A time completed import & previews are built, LR is moving from image to image very well.  I can do my basic edits, destruction and make a batch renumber.

  Then, I go to the bridge to make my adjustments in the RAW window without opening the files.  I return to LR, save the changes, allowing the bridge changes to overwrite the import development LR presets in the xmp files.

  LR usually takes some time to save all the changes, but finally he does.  However, here's my problem.  No matter how long I give LR to render new previews, I do not think that this, at least not until I move from library mode double-click on an image to see larger (to adjust to the window).  When I leave a picture to the image, it takes a few seconds with the message "Rendering: changed... settings. "Now, this is not necessarily just after that I have to save, but it still happens weeks later - when I see these images.  Does LR not automatically re - make previews after that development changes have been made and recorded to LR?

  And if not, how I would force LR to do for this catalog, or for all my images?

  LR re returns when you perform changes in Lightroom. Changes elsewhere will be re rendered images before use. It will be displaying the image in the. : ! or by selecting the images you have made changes to externally, to read the metadata of the file itself or xmp sidecar, then by selecting library, overview and choosing whether to make standard or 1:1 previews. Lightroom has no changes unless you specifically like it so changes in external processors will not automatically be read by LR. As noted for the previous poster using ACR external to process RAW files, rather than using RTAs in LR itself is adding a step to your workflow that I don't see the need for... but each to their own!

  Try this.

  -Connect with CUCM

  -Go to the user of the Application and select the user from CTS - Manager

  -Remove the point of termination/private room with 'X' mark on the subject.

  -Save it and re - discover the room

  -It must be passed to CTS-Manager

  -Now follow the same procedure and add the MAC address of controlled device (section of the users of the App)

  -Rediscover the piece, and then try again.

• Import the preset metadata xmp information

  Hi, I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about Lightroom. I began to use it to change my photos and would like to ask about the metadata presets that you can use. I have a few clients who send me captions for the events in xmp format. Is it possible to import in the metadata presets and apply them to a whole bunch of pictures rather than having to manually enter the information? I know that you can make a selection and save it, but that means having to leave every time. Is it possible to import the information they send me directly in these presets?

  I can import the xmp files in photoshop, but that means having to enter each individual photo and import files.

  Any advice you can give would be great.

  I have a few clients who send me captions for the events in xmp format.

  If they are indeed just send you captions, a simple method is:

  1. modify the XMP file in a text editor, such as Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on a Mac.

  2. copy the legend.

  3. in LR, select all the photos that the legend must be applied.

  4. in the metadata Panel on the right side of the library, paste the legend of step 2 in the area of the legend.

  Only if there is more than one field that must be defined for each photo (title, caption and task identifier, for example) it would be beneficial to apply the model of XMP in Bridge or PS and then import the image in LR.  Post an example of XMP file would be specified which fields are defined.

• Task of healing in the bridge using Camera Raw

  I am trying to sync the bridge using Camera Raw spot healing (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ9L0meJCWg to understand what I'm looking for). There seems no longer to be a button select all or Synchronize in Camera Raw is a drop down option in this sense in Bridge as in Photoshop. I'm working on a sequence of timelapse and need to remove dust spots. The method in the video would have been perfect but seems more available. Thanks for any help!

• I upgraded to 10 window.  She went and worked fine the next morning, then there haywire.  Not only when I right click on a picture to choose 'open in Photoshop 15 CC' is no longer on the list of choices. Where is that going?  I can go to the bridge and go

  I have upgraded to Windows 10 and all is well.  The next morning, it worked well, and then in the afternoon, when I would right click which would bring a window with my choice of app 'Photoshop 15 CC' is no longer on this list.  Where at - it go?  How can I get it back.  I can still go to the bridge, find the picture, click and the photo will be opened for editing.  But sometimes I want to just click on a photo quickly and change. Now I have to go to the bridge, find the photo, click on and it will be opened in Photoshop and I can change.  What happened, and I would like to be able to open a single photo quickly by right-clicking and choosing Photoshop.  As I said, this option is more on the list.

  Another problem is that when I open Bridge I get a window said msg / asking me to clear the cache of thumbnails in the preferences.  I did, but I still get the msg.everytime I open the bridge.  I did this several times.  So, I don't know whether or not the cache is purged.  What is the problem.  BTW, this happened before that I've upgraded to Windows 10 of 8.1.

  Please go to the following location on your computer C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 and rename Photoshop.exe Photoshop CC 2015.exe

  Once that is done, then please go ahead and right-click on the image and select Photoshop app to browse and you should be able to do as an option.

  For the bridge, I suggest you to reset the preferences of the bridge once: Troubleshooting Adobe Bridge for errors and freezes

• Batch Enfuse for bridge script?

  Hi I'm looking for a batch enfuse for bridge script.  So far, I found a unique script built to call enfuse in Bridge (CS3) that could be a good starting point, but I have no experience with scripting and would appreciate any help that anyone can give to point me in the right direction.  Here's the script: http://dimview.org/phototips/BridgeEnfuse.jsx he is also a HCript I found to put the batteries in Photoshop that I might be able to combine with the enfuse script?- would like to automate chimneys open as layers + run action. Possible with script?

  What I want to do is to open the BridgeEnfuse.jsx script in CC bridge if nothing else, but we hope to build in the ability to batch enfuse every X number of images in Bridge, or batteries enfuse in batches of images in Bridge.  I'll be doing some experiments and will try to post back with my findings.  Any direction for the update of CS3 bridge CC oldBridge scripts would be really useful!

  I took a different turn here and moved to function «Merge to HDR...» "Lightroom with AHK scripting to allow the user to enter the number of supports and the number of batteries.  The script then emulates a 'stack images X"(which Lightroom has not at the time of the display), then"merge to HDR"batteries newly created batch of 25 every 15 minutes.

  Update - Unfortunately, these latest Lightroom updates have considerably slowed the merger to the HDR process and allow more more than 5 stacks in queue for the merger at the same time.  Only by using an earlier version of Lightroom is the ability to batch processing with the above really effective method.

• Opened images of the bridge to cab not in chronological order

  + Bridge sometimes hangs when sorting (batch) of large amounts (up to and over 500) images... for example: View_Sort_date created_CRASH.  When adding metadata or keywords of large quantities of images bridge also blocks...

  The most important question for my workflow is to have images in the order opened in ACR.

  Please reset the Bridge preferences and then try it.

  Measures

  Start Adobe Bridge, and immediately press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS down) until the dialogue box reset settings appears.

  Select all three options - reset preferences, reset Standard Workspaces and all miniature Purge Cache - and then click OK.

• Run the Photoshop Action of the bridge on the raw files without creating a folder JPG

  I created a Photoshop Action that resizes and compresses an image (at 800 pixels at 24% quality). I want to run that Action of bridge on a selection of raw files. I have to do this, the bridge, select the images and select "tools-Photoshop-Image Processor". "In the window options 'Processor of Image', I put the folder to save the images processed, check the ' Action run" check box and select the Action but I have to check one of the 'file Type' (I check '"Save as JPG' with ' quality: 1" ") (it will run only if a"file Type"is selected), then click on 'run '. It then performs the Action on each image and I get the desired resolution file reduced and reduced the size of the file. The problem is that there also creates a JPG subfolder and creates another set of files also to the reduced resolution but the file sizes are larger than the game created by the Action.

  How can I run the Action without creating the subfolder containing the extra set of files whose size size JPG?

  I use v4.0.5.11 Bridge CS5, Photoshop CS5 v12.0.4x32 and Windows XP Pro SP3.

  Batch processing, see options for the dialog box:

  Delete the file Open Options Dialogs (prevents the dialog box camera raw of opening)

  Delete (optional) color profile warnings

  Under Destination set to None (the files are backed up to where the files specified in the save for web (export) step and close step on the farm in action.)
