• Impossible to rename all the files on my desktop

  When I create a new folder on my desktop and rename it, the name does not change and it remains as 'new folder '. When I go into the properties of the particular folder box 'read only' is a blue square. So when I try and turn off the blue box is clear, it stays on and it will not turn off.
  I am the administrator and I have full control of the folder according to the scutiry tab in the Properties menu. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with a 200 GB hard drive and 3 GB of RAM and a processor clocked at 2.66 ghz.

  I'd like to experience for me to better understand the potential cause for what you are experiencing.

  What we will do is create a new folder in your user profile directory and test the availability of renaming.

  We also create a folder on your desktop and attempt to appropriate to see if we can then rename it.

  Here are the steps to do this:

  Click Start-> click on your username at the top right of the menu.

  In the new window, click on organize-> then new folder

  Check your ability to rename.

  From there, double-click the desktop folder.

  Take the same steps to create a new folder, test the name change.

  Then, on an issue that you cannot rename, test this procedure:

  To take ownership of a folder:

  Right-click the folder for which you want to set permissions, click Properties and then click the Security tab.

  Click Advanced to open the security settings advanced for the dialog box

  Have a strange problem: when you use 'Batch rename... ". ' under the 'Tools' menu, 'Rename in same folder' is unusable for some photos taken with some cameras, not for others. Bridge of famous pictures of the iPhone, but not photos of Canon. • Renamed when the export file. Uh-oh!

  After completing the changes, I started an export. Thinking that I was being effective and intelligent I started to organize files. I renamed a number of files, including one I export. Oops. Export stopped because the files "is not found." I say Lightroom where to find them. The changes are now in a catalog called, "this failure to export Photos. Can I apply these changes to the new folder somehow?

  He said nothing of the sort. It refers to move photos, not organization. They are different. If you need to move your photos to a new disk or a new folder, it is prudent to do so via your operating system and then apply methods to reconnect photos in Lightroom. The only real reason to do this is when you need to move photos to a new hard drive. Move the photos on a single disc and rename it using the operating system or a bridge, is never a good idea. You seem to be move and rename photos for the purpose of better organization and better organization is much better done in Lightroom using metadata.

  Anyway, when I click on the! in the upper right corner of one of the photos in the catalog I want to find, I have the option to see very well. When I locate and click on it, I get a dialog box that says: "the file" Aveda Catwalk - 079.NEF "is associated with another photo in the catalog." Each file can be associated with a picture. I don't get the option for it with the photo of your choice.

  So this means that you have uploaded the photo TWICE in Lightroom, and you should never do this. You need to find the most recent import, which has probably no retouching and then delete this version of Lightroom. This leaves the version with changes, and now the ability to locate missing photos (by clicking on the exclamation) will fix the problem.

  Well, I have looked everywhere and have developed in white. All related import settings under the heading 'Rename files' 'date' seem to use the current date, for me, a very useless feature for the understanding of the actual image information and chronological order. What I'm looking for, it's a way to apply the renaming, importing that renames the beginning of the image with the "effective date the file was created" in other words, LR must be able to read the EXIF/Meta data and use this information for the name change process. Is there a way to accomplish this as a batch process on import?

  Absolutely, you can do it, I do it all the time. Particularly handy when I bring several days as photos that have accumulated on my camera card.

  All Date fields read EXIF metadata.

  You can use sVMotion and move it to another data store or migrate from cold.  Two tasks will rename the underlying set of files.

  I have a weird problem. I use "Advanced Lightning" and the expression following the Direction (called french "axe") property. Everything works fine, so I save and close the project.

  When I open it, the property of "Axe" seems to have been renamed to "Control popup" and so mess up all of my expressions. When I click on the layer and the effect, it goes back on behalf of the normal, but I have to re-enable the expression. I have a LOT of expressions, so is not the solution!

  Anyone have any ideas?

I had to change my name to developer/artist because of a similar name already existing no iTunes, I was contacted by the company with a similar name and they sent me a cease and desist order order so I contacted Apple, throughout the e-mail, to have changed, it took about 2 months, with about 8 back emails super slow, but eventually, they got this fact. May be a less of a problem with an application name. So don't give up, send them a mail and if you have time to give him time.

  Is not possible. In Acrobat, the template file is read-only.

  Yes it is.

  Take a look at the tools > preferences, select Data Modeler > naming Standard > model, you can specify the standard you want to use for your foreign key. You can apply this designation to existing models and all new created FK uses the same model. To apply the standard to existing templates, select the relational model in the browser, right-click to display the context menu and select the menu "apply Naming standards... ».

  We try to make a long list of edge member name changes (~ 200) for level 0 or level Parent members and noticed the API ESBOTLRENAMEMEMBER function. It seems that it could be used by others and have seen several Threads in OTN speaks of the function, but I have not seen all messages to a task force Excel VBA do a search/replace with this function. Can anyone point a working VBA code to do a search / replace?

  Robert, I will try to set up like this:

  Open a workbook on Sheet1, place your new names in column A and the old names in column b. keep active Sheet1.
  Open "Visual Basic" in Excel
  Create two modules in your VBA project associated with the workbook - one containing the statements simply copied and pasted from esb32.bas, the other containing the code above.
  Place a breakpoint on the Public Sub UpdateOutline() line in the procedure.
  Place the cursor on that line and press F8 - then keep hitting F8 to step through the procedure. In particular, check the value of lngStatus after each call Essbase API - it must be null if everything works.

  If you are still experiencing difficulties and have / create an e-mail address display does not bother you, I could always send you a workbook. Must esb32.bas statements match your version, however, even though is not guaranteed.

  The renaming of the option that is available and provided by the Windows Explorer is not to rename the external HARD drive, but the storage name will be changed only in Windows Explorer.

  To be honest I don't very well if you can change the HARD drive name that appears in the menu of the fritz m box.
  However, perhaps you could try to use the clean or clean all commands on a selected disk to remove all its partitions, MBR or GPT volumes and any information hidden on disk MBR sector.

  I assume you are using Win7. Right?

  Cannot rename files (programs) that appear in the Start Menu.

  You can ONLY rename folders.
  If you click on all programs, then you should also see some folders there.
  Right click on the folder and you should see the option rename.
  Choose this option and then you should be able to rename the folder
