• Renaming of documents by adding an annex of the commune for the names of existing files on several files in a single folder

  Is it possible to add an annex to the town (for example "-file BL ') existing file name (for example"daily reports1) to several (selected) files in the same folder?  (The example given could therefore be renamed "daily reports - comes from the BL file").  I need to do this to identify the source of documents folder when they are copied into a common folder: to compare with the similar files in other folders for various purposes.  There are a lot of documents in many files, I need to transfer and compare.  A rough estimate, it is that I need to add an annex to the town of 200 files named differently in a single folder and repeat this process for 30 files: with my existing knowledge of XP, this means that I would have use the rename individually on 6000 documents, and if the additional annex has been say 5 characters which would be a minimum of 30 000 key strokes : If adding appendages common to several document names selected in a folder is possible, this might reduce the name change to close to 150 list.

  PLEASE NOTE the multiple rename function where each selected file is the same thing with a renamed after the index number in brackets should not be - the original file name should be kept.

  Absolutely, you can change the names of members.

  Are you concerned about the impact on data loads, formulas, Calc, etc.?

  An easy way to have your cake and eat it too is to assign an alias to the Member, as well as the Budget now becomes Budget with an alias of Fcst_Budget. What are the artifacts refer to the old name continue to do so and a perspective report you reference the alias.

  Or you can reverse the trend so that the name of the Member now becomes Fcst_Budget and the alias is the Budget.

  Your choice, but I think the first, that's what you want.

  We use Oracle EBS R12.1.3

  We have about 4000 suppliers which have been implemented without any naming convention.

  We identified all vendors and standardised the naming of the provider agreement.

  We will update existing provider names, the number of suppliers will remain the same. Just the name will be normalized.

  For example to LIMIT Epic Epic LTD

  British Telecom BT

  Now, this has no impact whatsoever.

  We just want to be sure before we commit to this exercise.

  There is no involvement of the system except for the fact that the new name will be reflected everywhere including PO, invoices etc.

• The name already exists error when you try to add the host to the cluster

  I created a cluster that currently has no inside host. When I try to add a host I get an error that says: "the name"ip address of the host, I add"already exists. I don't understand why I get this error if there is no showing on the cluster host. See below for the screenshot.

  Your screen shot shows hosts is already part of the inventory - if the host is already part of the theinventory have not need to add it again - simply drag and drop it into the cluster

• Why windows 7 don't overwrite not the names of existing files

  I have Windows 7. When I save a document or a spreadsheet, I want to start with a file name and add a version number to it, but Windows just replaces the original file. For example, I start with Doc1.doc and then call Doc1v3.doc. The system replaces the original Doc1.doc instead to add the version number. It is causing a bit of a mess with version control, and I'd appreciate any help to solve this problem.

  If you use word, and you open a doc file,.

  Make your changes / additions and use Save as... .and when you close word a popup appears asking if you want to save changes, click No because the word refers to the doc first not open save it under... doc.

• Cannot use fax function after rename the name of the printer

  I have an MFP HP LaserJet M1536DNF connected by network.  I have run the full setup package by the CD of the product, or on the web, complete update install the driver package.  The problem is the default printer name after installation as like "HP LaserJet 1530 MPF Series PCL 6" and can not be changed through the installation.  When I tried to change the printer name on the windows 'Printers and faxes', he managed but the fax doesn't work anymore after that.  It says probably 'impossible to find or connect the printer' after I click the fax or print the document to the fax printer.  However, I can still use the printing function after the name change.  The only way to solve now is to uninstall all and reinstall again, even I tried to rename back the name exactly for the name of the printer.  I use Window XP Pro SP3 with .net Framework 3.5 already up-to-date.  Thanks for the tips.

  Sorry to misunderstand.  I mean there is no option to not rename the printer when you run the complete package installation wizardfirst, but not the fax configuration wizard.

  In fact, I must mention once again that I have can print and scan even I renamed the printer.  Things I can't do the HP Send Fax or fax HP Setup Assistant and so, which means my fax machine was not working properly.

  Therefore, I follow the document from HP that you post step by step and of course the diagnosis by downloaded HP Print result and doctor Scan for both printing and scanning are in good health, all in green light!  But cannot always solve the problem of the fax.

  However, I finally found my way to solve the problem, which is just rename back the original printer name in the registry.  As a result, the printer in "Printers and faxes" which always shows the famous name, but actually running with the original name of the printer.

  In any case, thank you for your kindly help and fast track.  But I suggest there should be a direct way, like having an option to rename the name of the printer while the first installation wizard on your next updated version.  This will certainly help users who have to install 2 or more of the same model printer, to indicate which printer works easily.

• How to change the computer name of existing desktop computers linked clone pool?

  I'm curious about something that has developed in our Organization.  New guidelines came down and we have to change the name of the computer for all of our offices to meet the new criteria.

  I have many of our users is on the offices of Linked-Clone (automated pool, dedicated, assignment see 5.1) which will have their names have been changed.  I use a 'model' for the name of the computer.

  I tried this before by simply change the settings of the pool, and then recompose the pool.  Recompose worked well, but NONE of the virtual machine names have been changed.  All machines, recomposed just fine, but keep the old name of the computer (non-compliant).

  How can I change the name of the computer of my clone in an existing pool offices?  Maybe I have something wrong.  I'm doing it instead of having to create a new pool and move the persistent disks.  I would like to change the name in the settings of the pool and recompose, but it did not work.

  It is not possible to change the name of existing workstations by modifying the settings of the pool. There is no way to make this happen automatically and in doing so manually would not seen happy.

  Unfortunately, for dedicated pools, you will have more work to do. If you do not use Persona you detach the persistent disks and recreate virtual machines in the pool with this disk to create a new virtual machine with a new name to be generated.

  If you use Persona you could remove all virtual machines and have Persona to extract profile data down to the virtual machine that would be entitled to the user when they connect then. This will cause all user installed programs go, but I hope that's not common if you are already using linked clones.

• Impossible to rename all the files on my desktop

  When I create a new folder on my desktop and rename it, the name does not change and it remains as 'new folder '. When I go into the properties of the particular folder box 'read only' is a blue square. So when I try and turn off the blue box is clear, it stays on and it will not turn off.
  I am the administrator and I have full control of the folder according to the scutiry tab in the Properties menu. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with a 200 GB hard drive and 3 GB of RAM and a processor clocked at 2.66 ghz.
  Any help would be appreciated since I tried other responses on various forums and am no - where.

  I'd like to experience for me to better understand the potential cause for what you are experiencing.

  What we will do is create a new folder in your user profile directory and test the availability of renaming.

  We also create a folder on your desktop and attempt to appropriate to see if we can then rename it.

  Here are the steps to do this:

  Click Start-> click on your username at the top right of the menu.

  In the new window, click on organize-> then new folder

  Check your ability to rename.

  From there, double-click the desktop folder.

  Take the same steps to create a new folder, test the name change.

  Then, on an issue that you cannot rename, test this procedure:

  To take ownership of a folder:

  Right-click the folder for which you want to set permissions, click Properties and then click the Security tab.

  Hi Nitin,

  In coherence, support cards for caches themselves are created in each node on demand each time that the first is the message (user request (if the cache did not use so far) redistribution (if partitioned) or initial population (in the case of replication)) arrives at the node.

  They are created according to the configuration schema caching.

  Caches themselves are not defined at all in the configuration, only the caching of schemas.

  In addition, cache mappings are defined, but this does not mean that they are actually used and corresponding cache are not created until they are first mentioned in the cluster, support cards.

  Is not yet possible to define an operation which gives the back of the list caches that can be created, because it depends on its use actual cache.

  The only significant thing is the list of cache and corresponding mappings to the caching of schemas, but gives no information on if cache actually has already been used or not. This information, you can possibly go to support card Manager, and that (I don't remember my head) can have a method that gives you information on the question of whether a backup plan has already been instantiated for the name of cache or not without instantiate following the "issue" himself.

  The answer is no, and it's a difficult problem, if you speak code modules written in different programming languages different sources including files and always a problem semi-difficile if you're not because of the possibility of lookupstrings appearing in places unusual or used in an unusual way.

  However, there are 2 features that exist in TestStand 4.2 which should help with this.

  (1) search/replace in files - if the old name is quite unique, it should be easy, if it is not then maybe with a clever use of regular expressions in the search string, it should still be feasible.

  (Monitor 2) - this should help you find the places that need fixing or you might have missed to make 1) above.

  I have 3 hosts in my group and I am trying to add a 4th. The host, I'm trying to add part of the cluster, but it was removed there because it has been used a few weeks somewhere else. I have since reinstalled ESX and try to add back to the cluster.

  When I try and add a NFS data store to the host named "NAS-storage" added it is automatically renamed to "NAS-storage (1)", if I try the rename without (1) I get an error message...  "The NAS-storage name already exists." 3 other guests are currently connected to the data without any problem store.

  How can I fix it?

  I tried to reboot the host, restart the service of railway infrastructure and to rename the data store on the other hosts to something else.

  Make sure that you add the store of data with exactly the same name/IP address and the name of path as those mounted on other hosts

  You can get the correct mount point by running

• Keep the name of original when file rename and convert to DNG

  In LR 2.6 when I imported my (RAW) images, I would incorporate keeping the original file number, so I would like to batch rename and convert to DNG, once they were already in my catalog.  As I draw from stock, I keep a meticulous care the registry of what I shoot for purposes of metadata and keywords.  I noticed that when I upgraded LR 3, my in my existing catalogs/folders, the original file names are gone and just the new personalized name & sequencing appear. Unfortunately, I still have the Word key & metadata tag many images, but the original numbering in the camera is now missing.  With my new whatever I did to preserve the original numbering, is to import, make my keywords/metadata, and then rename a batch.  However, having to go back is pain, when in the former is LR was easier.  Maybe someone out there knows how to keep both.  It's just easier to check my notes when I have the original of the image number.  Any tips/ideas/suggestions?
