Reorder pages

Hi, I just signed up for individual esign account. Is there a way to rearrange the pages of a multi page template. Page 6 for example should be after the page 12. Is it possible to reorganize without restarting?

Monique

Hi Monique,

To rearrange the pages in a model of multi-page please follow the steps below.

  • In Acrobat, open the template.
  • Click on the option of Page thumbnails on the left, as shown in the screenshot below.

  • Now you can drag & drop the pages of the template to the location of the desired page.

Please save changes & once more, you will need to download the file on the e-sign account.

Let us know if you still experience a problem, we will be happy to help you.

Kind regards

Nicos

    Since the update recently, Muse crashes every time I try to rename pages or reorder. This is my portfolio for jobs so it needs to be sorted as soon as possible.

    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you

    Please send us the .muse to [email protected] file as well as a link to this topic, so we can fix it and send it back. If the file is larger than 20 MB, you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc..

    Details (and all), you can provide on the recent changes to the structure of your site would be very useful to our effects to find the underlying cause of this. What pages have been added, removed, deleted? What actions have been used? In what order? Any cancelled operation? Or undone and redone? A package of measures, probably related to changes in the structure of your site or perhaps your menus, introduced a minor corruption in one or more of your menu widgets. Thank you.

  • How to reorder pages

    When I try to rearrange the pages in outline view, the pages seem to move as long as I am now the mouse button and drag.  When I release the new position, nothing happens.  The pages stay in the same order.  Am I supposed to do something more/other?

    When you reorder the pages in outline view, you must drop him (or release the mouse button) when the color of blue'ish appears between pages (or underneath to make a child page) to slip during operation. Here is a small video demonstration of it.

    However, if this does not always work in your case, could you please confirm if yours is a heavy graphic site with too many pages. If this is the case, try disabling the thumbnail/Master badge (and reduce the size of thumbnails using the slider) option available just above the site map in order to reduce the overall burden.

  • Reorder pages in a layout of the newsletter?

    I have a layout simple 3-column newsletter where some information is repeated from one month to the other. But repeated pages are less important in the following months, so I want to them to move away. Is it possible under 11 (Windows 7) to simply move these pages at the back once a layout is complete? It's something that same Pagemaker could do, way back when, but I can't find an easy way to do it with this program. Am I missing something? Thanks for the advice that you can give,

    Gail

    FM is designed to operate in flow content not pages, so it depends really how you have created pages and text for content management. If your articles are separate streams, you can insert pages disconnected in front of those you want to go back and add new content on those newly inserted. If everything is in the same stream, then simply add new content to the front.

  • Is there an easier way to move pages (for example, reorder pages) in a pdf document?

    Currently, if I have to say, page 97 to be page 82, the only way to do it is to extract page 97 to a separate pdf file (Acrobat X, see menu Tools, Pages, extract Pages and select Remove after extraction).  Then after the backup off-page 97 in a separate file, I have to import this file into the correct location... in this case, after the 81 page (in Acrobat X, see the Tools menu, Pages, inserting file, then select after page 81).  It is tedious and error-prone.  I want to drag and drop pages to reorganize within the document - similar to how you could drag and drop files within a portfolio - but have not found a way to do it.  Any ideas on how to make it simpler?  I had to re - order 25 pages of a document of 100 pages and it took almost two days of work!

    You can drag & drop pages in the Pages panel on the left.

  • How to do a two-page spread in photo books?

    How to do a two-page spread in photo books?

    Hi Myrte Veach,

    If you want to add pages to your photo book project, please follow the steps below.

    Add, remove and rearrange the pages of book

    You can add, remove, or reorder pages from the book. You can insert new pages anywhere in a book, except between the cover on the outside and the inside cover page.

    Note: A book must have an even number of pages. If the change in the number of pages creates an odd number of pages, Photos automatically adds or removes a blank page to keep the number of pages to an even number.

    Click project on the toolbar, and then double-click the book.

    Do one of the following:

    Add a page: select the page you want the new page to follow, and then click Add a Page in the toolbar and choose Add a Page.

    Set the number of pages in a book: click on the book settings button in the toolbar and drag the number of Pages.

    Remove a page from a book: click on the page to select and press DELETE, or click on the button Add a Page in the toolbar, select the Page to delete, then click on continue. You can also click on the page, select the Page to delete, then click on continue.

    Move a page in a book: rest the pointer over a page number until the page button, and then drag the button on the page to move the page to a new location. You can also select a page, and then drag the button to the page.

    How to rearrange the order of the pages in the pdf file

    Hi rainbowbowral,

  • Save the Page Arrangement for continuous draft PDF

    I just used Acrobat Pro to create a PDF file of 50 pages (like a master file for printing a book of Magcloud.com). I created the pdf file of 50 individual jpeg files, use combine Acrobat files in PDF function.

    But as I work on the book, whenever I want to rearrange the pages or add or subtract pages for a new project, I have to drag - reorder pages from scratch, with all the files in the window to combine the files once more in the original order. I lose the page layout when I Quit Acrobat or even when I create a pdf file.

    I know I can number the original files so that they appear automatically in the correct order, but it's a bad solution: fifty files renaming is not negligible, and it is also impossible to move a file without renaming it dozens of others. If this isn't a good solution.

    Is there a way to keep the layout of the files so that it appears in Acrobat, even after I have created a pdf file, or once I left Acrobat?

    Thanks for any help.

    Once you have assembled and recorded the 50 page PDF file, the order of the pages will not change when you close and re-open.

    To move existing pages in the document, open the navigation panel Pages on the left side of the window, and then drag the thumbnails autour. To add a new page, use the Tools menu on this Panel and delete a page simply click on the thumbnail to select it, then press delete.

  • How do I re-sequence pages in pdf format, which is in the booklet format?

    I have a pdf file that is an A5 booklet to print double-sided, with two A5 pages printed on an A4 area.  I would like to re - sequence these pages to single page number ascending order, for reading online.  How can I do?

    The first page A4 of my pdf file consists of page 1 left A5 and A5 page 48 on the right, followed by the second page A4 including A5 page 47 on A5 page 2 on right and left, and so on.  [I can print this OK in pamphlet form, except as the second page of A4 size, etc. is upside down.]

    Should I take the crude approach grunt and cut and paste each page A5, one at a time, in a new document?  I use Acrobat Pro XI

    You can reorder pages by dragging them to new positions in the Pages pane on the left.

  • Script to rearrange the pages?

    I'm looking for a script to reorder pages in a large document (a few hundred pages).

    I need to be able to create the new order based on the former page numbers [for example: I need to specify that the new order must be 100, 3, 9, 212 178... all reference to the original page numbers.] When I move pages manually former page numbers are no longer valid, that's why I can't do it manually.

    Anyone who has seen/written such a script is invited to respond, and all those who would be willing to try to write a.  Thank you.

    Hey, it was a lot harder than I thought!

    This script seems to work - but it's true, I only tested with a document of 20 pages and some random reiterations. Run on a copy of your document and scream if she isn't good. (And boyo, I hope it works...)

    You can fill your new command in the first line, separated by commas. You can also enter a range, such as "5-10", if you happen to have a few pages in the original order. All numbers must be entered inbetween the quotes on a single line.

    var order="1,20,2,19,3,18,4,17,5,16,6,15,7,14,8,13,9,12,10,11";
    // Create an array out of the list:
    ranges = toSeparate (order);
    if (ranges.length != app.activeDocument.pages.length)
    {
     alert ("Page number mismatch -- "+ranges.length+" given, "+app.activeDocument.pages.length+" in document");
     exit(0);
    }
    // Consistency check:
    sorted = ranges.slice().sort(numericSort);
    for (a=0; a -1)
      {
       indexes = s[l].split("-");
       from = Number(indexes[0]);
       to = Number(indexes[indexes.length-1]);
       if (from >= to)
       {
        alert ("Cannot create a range from "+from+" to "+to+"!");
        exit(0);
       }
       s[l] = from;
       while (from < to)
        s.splice (++l,0,++from);
      }} catch(_){}
     }
    // s.sort (numericSort);
     return s;
    }
    function numericSort(a,b)
    {
     return Number(a) - Number(b);
    }

    Copy and paste into a text editor - the editor ESTK which comes with InDesign is correct - and save it as "rearrangePages.jsx" in your script file. It becomes immediately available in your Scripts panel. Then just double-click to run.

    It should warn you to duplicate as well as some other incompatibilities issues I could think. If an error ("cannot create range"), your input is bad. If it warns you when executing ("problem with page... "), it cannot move this page for some reason any...

    Absolutely no warranty. Run on a single copy. It can severely damage your Document if it won't.

  • How to print 2-top shot on horseback in the layout?

    This question has been asked seven years ago, and the response was so "it cannot be done. I hope that in seven years, Apple has provided a solution. Here is a more complete description of what I want: I have a document eight pages I want to print two-sided, two pages per side, on two sheets of paper. Page numbers must be aligned on the sheets as follows:

    Sheet, recto: page 8, page 1

    One, back sheet: page 2, page 7

    Two, front sheet: page 6, page 3

    The two, back sheet: page 4, page 5

    This way I take just the two sheets of paper, place the two leaf at the top of the sheet, then fold them in half, then staple to the fold. What makes an eight-page brochure.

    I tried different options of the printer. I use the short edge binding, but none of the four variations on this accomplish what I need.

    I am trying the impossible?

    If the question was asked here, the answer was not that it is impossible.

    You ask for the tax, the binding is irrelevant.

    Taxation is processed at the end of the design printing. Usually from .pdfs provided.

    There is taxation several applications or you can create your own taxation manual reorder pages from the pdf file or assemble the pages in a document in the format sheet larger print.

    If it is a basic feature that you don't want to not do it yourself or through tax software, Swift Publishing has tax built into its software.

    Or you can presentation a model to answer with the material in the imposed order is a simple impression. Fact more easily in the Pages ' 09 which textbox that links and most of the options Pages face etc. as this requires.

  • Something has changed in the El Capitan printing

    Got a MacBook Air El Capitan 10.11.1 running.  Question is about the operation of Preview (8.1).

    When printing brochures on letter paper (8.5 x 11) with the Microsoft Word source material (2011), I set the size of the paper half a page (8.5x5.5) and printed out of preview.  Word does not layout of the booklet (at least), so I reorder pages in preview correctly and print them to two to a page under the option layout in Print Preview Panel.  This used just two pages side side and print to actual size.

    I don't know exactly what happened as I don't do that all that often, but when I tried it recently under El Capitan, overview (or the print module) appears somehow scale the pages down so that they have what seems to be about 1 "border all around the two pages.  I just tried it with Word and Pages and get the same result.  It has been suggested that this is related to the print driver, but that makes no sense when you go to the overview.  I also tried the same file on another computer that knows nothing about my printer with the same result.

    Here's what it looks like in most any text editor.

    Here's what it looks like when printed Preview (or printer).  Note the break at the top of the right-hand page that tells where is the margin.

    I tried to use the scale option in the Print Preview Panel that did not help.  What Miss me?

    I tried to print the pages above with Acrobat Reader, who only booklets and got the same result.   AR has its own Panel to print and read the PDF file in and it looks good in the display of the AR, but, again, has significant margins in the actual printed version.  Note that AR show you the preview as a preview.

  • 5740 HP e-all-in-one printer: how to change the destination for the scans folder

    I bought a HP Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one printer I connected wireless to a Win 7 PC. A month later, I added a new win 10 PC in my network (LAN), and I also installed the printer on this new PC. When I went to scan a document using the HP (NO Windows Fax and Scan) print software, the printer asked me which PC to scan to, and I chose the old Win 7 PC. The scanned image went to the folder My Documents\My scans of Win 7 PC, as expected.

    Two questions, both assuming I want to use the HP software to scan:

    1. is there a way to set a default value of PC to the computer target for digital images?

    2. How can I change the folder to which scaned images are sent?

    What are the answers to these two Qs if I decide to use Windows Fax and Scan instead of the printer software?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Roy

    Hi Roy,

    Yes, you get a more integrated experience if you install the vs HP software by using the Add method of the printer.   And Yes, you should be able to do much more PC software rather than on the front panel of the unit.    And Yes, the aspect analysis software PC is much better than the Windows Fax & Scan.   Windows Fax Scan & gives a good experience of the box and is sufficient for many, but for those who want to do more, such a framing auto, rotate, reorder pages, etc... the HP scanning software is much better.

    I forgot what version of HP comes with your OJ5740 scanning, but we she recently rejected a new more complete solution that comes with the version that installs for your device recommended.   Here is a link where you can get that below.   I recommend you to install the latest web downloadable full version for your device first.   Then install this

    HP extended Scan

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi for Windows.

    You'll then have two versions, one called "HP Scan" and the other called "HP Scan extended.   If you find that "HP Scan" looks like 'HP Scan expanded', while the product was the version latest (we drove to this new version about 2 years ago).

  • Cannot handle PDFs as I usually according to update

    Used to be able to delete pages, reorder pages, pages of drag-and - drop between pdf files.  Now, I can't do it all! ?? after update.  Anyone know how I can do these things again?

    You mentioned something that precedes the uninstall. I can only assume that you have uninstalled the full version of Acrobat. If this is the case, you will need to reinstall it. If you had an older version, you want to find the disc that you used to initially install and use it.

    Acrobat Reader would be labeled as Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

    The new version of Acrobat would be labeled Adobe Acrobat DC

    Older versions would be labeled with a version number of Adobe Acrobat (like X or XI).
