repair of Windows 8 loop

My Sony notebook is on the loop of auto repair.  I don't have the notice or the f keys to work around or fix.

My question is do I have a boot able disk / cd or y at - he of the hidden options? I tried clt + alt + delete has not worked for me.

To turn off a laptop that is frozen or stuck in a loop, press and hold down the power button until it turns off. It will take a while. You should already have a repair cd to access the recovery options. Look at the web site of Sony support for suggestions on recovery.

    Dave,

I appreciate your time and efforts.  I don't really have.  For an update, we just finished installing the new motherboard.  It worked for about 10 minutes, then the video starts shaking and adding "ghosting".  We have checked all the connections and restarted.  It works ok now, but we'll let it run for a while.  We'll see how it holds up!  We now have a machine that dropped.  I'm really happy that we are under guarantee if we have all these tips will!  This most recent one done 5.   Thanks again!

  • after repair of WIndows XP now windows ginune activation message

    Hello

I am running Windows XP Pro with all the updates.

The system began through a cycle of restarting whenever it was turned on.

I could not boot in safe mode, or I could get it to boot from the Windows disc.

I removed the disk and place it in a second system as a slave and ran chkdsk with the

repair switch. Later, I noticed that all the files were marked hidden. I went through all the normal files and mark them not hidden.

I ran malware scan on this drive and found 5 infections and clean.

I reinstalled the drive in the original machine; I received error BONES so I ran the repair of Windows from the CD. Eventually the system started and gave me a message that needs to be enabled to run Windows. Click on the Activate button and then the desktop background came with NO icons or taskbar. Also, no keys does not work. I can boot into SafeMode (invites MS-DOS only) it I can start exploring and managed to get the icons and the taskbar to show all the work, but of course no Internet or network, and I still did the Microsoft Genuine logo because I can't activate it.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, wiping and reinstalling isn't really an option I have too many specialized software that affect businesses aside for installation with a great price.

    Thank you

    JB

    Hello

I suggest that you try a virus scan to make sure you have completely before you start in Safe Mode with network access to the internet.

    Try to scan Microsoft Security:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

You try to run boot to safe mode in case something else is causing a conflict. Once you have done this, you can activate by phone if your windows will still not turn on:

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start and then click Run.

    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

I could not find any information on this error, except the one person that I know who maintains computers of the University of Missouri, said that he had this problem, and it was somehow related to the fact that he had too many thumbnails in the folder/drive.

  • EliteBook 8570w system repair disc Windows 7

    Hi all

I wanted to do a repair disc Windows on my Elitebook 8570w system. It's pretty easy because Hp has a program called Hp Recovery Disc Creator that accomplishes this task for you. It gives you a possibility to burn a Windows disc and a driver disc. What HP calls the Windows disk is the system repair disc.

Now, my problem is that the Windows disk does not work correctly (no idea why). When booting from the DVD screen guard stuck to Windows is loading files... Also when I try to run the installer from the DVD, I get error messages that says 'F:\Sources\autorun.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.' and after 'the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0xC1]"because I had all of a sudden to make the drive I can't simply make another DVD.

Then, I tried to let Windows do the repair system itself disc (help to create a system repair disc). However, I get a different error message: "the parameter is incorrect (0 x 80070057).» Some people suggest that HP Recovery Disc Creator has "hijacked" the function "Create a system repair disc" window and this is what causes the problem. If HP does not give me a second try, and it prevents Windows to give me a second try as well! Then, perhaps to remove HP Recovery Disc Creator would work. However, it does not list in programs and features and I can not find an uninstall file in its directory.

When you try to find a solution I came across a guide to create a boot Windows 7 Installation USB drive (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2432-usb-windows-7-installation-key-drive-create.html). She is to copy the files from the installation of the USB disk. Step 21 details the files that are on the installation disc. They are the same as on my system repair disc.

Download an image of the installation disk so the same as downloading an image of the system repair disc? (I download an atm file but don't know if that makes sense) If not, are there other options to create a new system repair disc? Maybe somehow Uninstall HP Recovery Disc Creator or he fool into thinking I have not yet tried to do a Windows disc? Where can I download a disk image of the repair system somewhere online (I found most of the links are dead)?

Please let me know if additional information is required! Thanks in advance!

    Michael

TLDR: burned a disc repair system, the disk is not working properly, HP and Windows will not let me try to burn again. Other options?

    Hello:

You can probably make an ISO file of the version of W7 Pro you must go to the link below.

Use the SP1 media files regenerate.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-multiple-languages-x86-amp-x64/page59?p=470600&viewfull=1#post470600

Use the W7 Pro from the bottom of the laptop product key to activate the installation.

This tool allows to transfer the ISO to a flash DRIVE or a DVD drive.  The tool also performs the bootable file.

Your other option would be to order a series of W7 for your PC recovery discs, by contacting HP for the country that you live in the link below.

  • PC counters each attempt to fix/repair and finally, the loop to stop/restart windows Explorer.

So beyond, I'm done with this laptop. He started by run me windows update and the awakening of a BSOD. Now browse those tedious threads, I know that the next thing people want are the dumpfiles. Well, you cannot make them because it won't create dumpfiles. I checked everywhere for them and double-checked to make sure that when I got bsod it is correctly configured to do. It will not create them. So ok, the next thing people say is running scandisk Sfc. Nope, BSOD in the course. Chkdsk? Nope, BSOD. during the. This laptop has a coherent dpc latency problem where every 10-13 seconds it stings really high, distorting the audio. I tried to disable drivers, update drivers, pulling on the battery, and it won't go away. To * with it I say, I can deal with that, besides there is probably a hardware problem, it's an old inspiron 5040. The greatest success in fixing something comes sfc running in safe mode with cmd prompt. He got to 100% and has absolutely nothing more. All this stems from the windows updates failed. But this latest issue is the water drop. Before the windows explore stopped working/restart loop, which prevents me from running damn near all executable on ANY startup mode, I was getting semi-fonctionnalites off safe mode with network. I was inside my damndest to try to solve the problems without paying a penny for the repair (because it's my operating system from windows to the 3rd address I got incredibly frustrated with questions and I'm NOT GOING to sink more money into the purchase/solve this *) but after a month of countless BSOD and failed system restore (BSOD on those too) I decided to say the * with it , it can still be used for browsing with chrome at least, since I found a way to activate the sounds of the internet registry. I had used it for about a month and realized that internet Explorer was causing in fact a kind of conflicts, because all applications requiring an i.e worked incorrectly, display of white windows resources that need to be pulled with knowledge then I tried to reinstall that is and makes the mistake of restarting, forget the automatic Windows Update. Well, I is none of that with this time and tried to turn off the pc before it started with nothing else than a glorified blue screening method. To restart, I got "windows is the restoration of changes", another reboot, then a "Welcome" I get started in the regular office, (not safe mode or anything like that) and he gives me a small white window with "custom settings" on it and literally nothing else. No toolbar, no desktop shortcuts. Wait a few seconds and I get "Windows Explorer has stopped working" and the option to close the window. safemodes boot loop to stop/restart windows Explorer and I can't do anything appear the Task Manager which is pretty useless, because I can't really do anything here except close programs that are not accessible in the first place. Safe mode only I can enter is the one with the command prompt. I don't really know what else to do. Quite happy to take a hammer and break the laptop for parts. There are so many problems with this thing, I doubt that someone will be able to help in any way especially withouth minidumps the BSOD. But if there is something simple that I'm missing for at least the minimum functionality that I was getting out of it until windows update in ruins me, feel free to try to solve the problems. The code the most common bsod I get is 0xf4. I put my money on half of the problem with the hard drive itself and the rest of the question was any other defective hardware. But ill be doomed if I buy another harddrive just to have more questions.

    Hello

Generally, this problem is caused due to hardware or software related issues. As you mentioned that you have completed the restoration of the system and sets the Explorer loo, I would like to know if the problem is resolved or not.

Regarding performance related questions, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try the procedure described in the following Microsoft Help article and check if that helps. This Microsoft Help article consists of the steps to optimize Windows to improve performance.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/optimize-Windows-better-performance#optimize-Windows-better-performance=Windows-7

    Method 2:

Put the computer to boot and check if the problem persists. This troubleshooting will help you find what third-party program or the app is the cause of this problem.
