"Repair Windows system disc has stopped working".
It is a message that I get whenever I try to create a "system repair disc" for a brand new Dell running Windows 7.
No error message number - popup is intended to be a solution, but never found.
Anyone else seen elsewhere or a solution?
Thank you

No matter what I click 'close' or 'check online for a solution (recommended)', the dialog box WILL NOT GO AWAY. I was going to do a system restore, but I have only two restore points and both are from today, so that obviously is not going to help.
It drives me crazy and I don't know that this is not a good sign for my computer either. Help, please!
Thanks in advance!

Original title: WMC no longer works after update of August 10
Windows Media Center has stopped working after installation of my Windows 7 Professional pc all 11 updates gave me on August 11, 2010. I used system restore to the day before the updates, and install them individually. The first 9 no trouble with WMC. But the IE8 KB982664 for Windows 7 compatibility view list caused my action center to report that I needed to check the undeclared solutions to problems. WMC would still start. But after installing KB983590 .NET framework 3.5.1 for Windows 7 x 86, WMC has stopped working.
After you uninstall update 2 above WMC would still not start.
After using the system again restore forward updates, I installed the other 9 updated with, so far, no problem with WMC.
New installation of Windows 7 Pro.

Windows Media Player has stopped working, as well as the sharing of multimedia files
My husband told me that he has always had difficulty to play the DVD on WMP. I discovered that it would not play because there was a problem with the audio. I couldn't find the solution to this problem. However, we were able to play, burn and rip CDs until what we downloaded Windows SP2 for Vista Home Basic (32 bit), two days ago. Since then, we have not been able to open the app, and the WMP network sharing Service. I tried to run the Setup program, but it is said that there is a newer version of WMP and it will not replace or repair. I wanted to see if I could find a solution to this problem without having to resort to reinstalling Vista or restore to an earlier point. I also noticed that when the WMP application has been updated July 15 to the new version below, there were times this video Web sites would not play and we would have to restart the computer so that we can read them. Hi Stevan I am,
1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?
2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833Method 2:
You can perform a clean boot and check if you are facing the same question to the clean boot. To perform the clean boot follow step 1 mentioned in the article below, and then try again check in the clean boot state -
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
If the problem is resolved check which service is causing the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.

Message "Windows movie maker has stopped working".
Original title: Windows Movie Maker
When you use Windows Movie Maker - the application generates the error message "Windows movie maker has stopped working" and close. What happened several times. What can I do to prevent this? I use Windows 7 and Movie Maker 2011.
Not sure, but have you tried to reinstall WLMM, or perhaps fix?
See - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938275/en-gb and try the repair option first.
Also, make sure that your graphics card and your PC sound card drivers are up to date. Go to the manufacturers technical support for your PC brand and model site and see if there are newer drivers supported. If there is, and the repair does not help, try them. Make a restore point on your PC first, and if you like you should be able to "roll back" to your existing installation if you need to.
You can also try a SFC/scannow to see if that detects and repairs problems of any OS if the above does not help.
