Replace IE 64 bit with 32-bit

We have an old software, which, to make a long story short, I have to replace the 64-bit iexplore.exe (c:\program may explore) with the 32-bit version (c:\program files (x86\internet explorer), on hundreds of computers.) To do this on computers manually, I have to take possession of the 64-bit before it can be replaced. I have a vbscript script that copies the files on remote computers, but the script does not permission denied and I guess it's because I need the script to take ownership of the file first. How can I do this in a script?

Thank you.

OK I see where you are now.

Of course, the software runs in IE11 I guess.

But still something to throw in skillet, if important updates IE are hunted in a windows started this month of may day then trash what has been done.
