have replaced my HARD original with an SSD drive, but now my laptop does not recognize HP support assistant?
Dear Forum,
I replaced my original HARD with a SSD drive, but now HP support assistant recognizes my phone? The program runs but updates always fail and when I look at general specifications the serial number, product name, number of product, microprocessors, system memory, motherboard, bios system, drive hard (s), and optical drive (s) are all empty. Interestingly, it recognizes the device to display (s) as being mobile intel (R) HD graphics and current resolution of 1366 x 768 and refresh rate 60.
My laptop is an Australian model HP DV4 3029tx, which is an intel i5 14 "(2ème génération) with AMD graphics 6750" I replaced the original 640 GB hd with a 180 GB ocz vertex 2 using acronis to clone the drive.
I would be grateful is anyone know how to get hp support assistant to recognize my computer.
Thank you very much
Hello
Try this: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems/HP-Support-Assistant-not-working-on-Win7/m-p/736511#M34734
I think that cloning might be the question because the original configuration has been changed. Simple uninstall and reinstall again could possibly solve the problem as well...

Computer does not recognize Toshiba external 500G HDD - HARD drive
Sorry, I use a translator, because all the illiterate
A year and a half used the hard drive, and now the computer does not recognize it, the TV too.
In Device Manager, it is there, but says "initialization error".What should do?
Thanks for the repliesYou have partitions software installed on the laptop you?
I guess that the HARD disk does not appear in windows Explorer, but common partition as the partition Wizard tool might be able to recognize the HARD drive.
You can try to format the HARD disk and to create the new NTFS partition.Another solution:
Usually, you can initialize the disk by DiskManagement. In disk management, right-click the disk you want to initialize and then click on initialize disk.
In the dialog box initialize the disk, select the disk to initialize.
You can choose to use the master boot record (MBR) or the style of partition GUID partition table (GPT).Once a disk is initialized, you can create partitions on it.
After you create a partition, you can format the partition to create a filesystem (NTFS). -
Satellite M50-A-110 does not recognize the new SSD?
Hello
I bought the M50-A-110 model and tried to replace the HARD drive by a Pro 840 Samsung SSD. The laptop does not recognize the SSD drive, so I sent him to the local Toshiba service for inspection.
They discovered that the laptop does not recognize ALL of the latest SSD (they tried to Samsun, Intel, Crucial, Kingston and SSD Seagate). They checked, and I possible newer BIOS, so this isn't a problem, and the SSD worked fine on other computers.
Someone knows how to solve this mess?
Toshiba has a BIOS beta I could try?
Any other ideas would be welcome. As a user of long date Toshiba, I must say that I am a little disappointed. I mean I work in it, and this is the first time that something like this happened to me with a new product.
Hello
I can't believe that Satellite M50 - A can not handle any of the mentioned SSDS.
I upgraded my Toshiba laptop with SSD Pro 840. But before I did, the update of the firmware of SSD was necessary. Before the firmware update, the SSD has failed, after the firmware update, BIOS can handle the SSD.
I would recommend to check the SSD for the firmware update!

Equium P200 does not recognize the wireless network with Win XP card
Dear team
I recently installed windows XP on my Equium P200 (he had originally vista).
Now, I have a problem with the Atheros wireless card. The computer does not recognize the wireless card is installed. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, but nothing works. In the hardware Manager, I get an error code 10 when you try to install the drivers. Can someone please help.Thank you
Are you sure that you have an Atheros WLan card installed on this laptop computer at 100%?
I recommend you to check the bottom of the unit. There are labels with information about the wireless network card! I think that there is a number. Then google for this number and you should get information on the wireless network card.Eventually he s one card Intel. | In this case, you should try to install the driver from Intel.

Qosmio F30 - 112 - Windows XP does not recognize the HARD drive
Hello.
I have a Qosmio F30-112.
I tried to install the Windows XP Professional instead of the Media Center edition.
However, during the execution of the installer, my laptop does not recognize the hard drive. Therefore, the installation cannot continue.I thought it might be a problem of corruption with my laptop and reinstalled Media Center Edition successfully.
But when I try to install XP Professional it always gives me the same error.Suggestions for the configuration of the BIOS or solutions for why this is happening?
Thanks in advance.
Hello
Just a question:
You are looking for in this forum for other similar issues with regard to the installation of Win XP and lack HARD drive? I doubtThe fact is that your notebook has a SATA controller and you need a SATA (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) driver.
You should have a look here in this doc from Toshiba:
[How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP installation CD | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm]and should also search this forum for other threads

I had this problem for weeks and only recently someone told me that it is perhaps for this reason.
I tried several things to fix, and one of those who created an error where when I clicked on drive E in Windows Explorer, it looks like:E:\ application not found
So, in the end, I wiped my computer and everything on it and rebooted again.
IT TOOK FOUR HOURS.
So, I've set up the computer as I did when I got it 2 years ago, and everything was fine. I could insert a disc, it reads that and I was able to install my game, no problems.
Now, I have reset everything up, and there are more than 2000 updates to update installed. So I did.
SO NOW, after all this, which took another TWO HOURS - he does not all disks again.
I play the Sims 3 - fiercely - and so I tried to re - install all my expansion packs, but it does not now.
I DON'T want to make that whole process again and install all my games before updating Windows, because I believe, even if I did that, once I've updated, I can't play the game, because my laptop does not recognize that the game disc is there.
Help, please.
I spent so much money on these games, and I love them! I don't have the money to buy a new computer.
I have a Lenovo Ideapad

T420 replacement of the original by a SSD hard drive
Hello world
In order to increase the speed of my laptop (Lenovo T420), I would like to replace current hard by here a SSD (link).
I already made some changes on the desktop, but never on laptop.
Could someone let me know if it is possible, about the size of the hard disk (2.5 inch 100 X 69,85 X 6.8 (mm) - form factor) connectors (SATA) or other points that I should care?
Thank you
Good day.
Fab
The series Samsung EVO will agree and will work. Everyone has an opinion about the brands that they like and dislike. Personally, I've never had a problem with any SSD Samsung, although I had a few problems with some of their older readers focused on the plateau. Others have problems with other brands. I will say that SSDs, in general, don't not differently from the readers focused on the plateau. Platinum discs usually (not always) break down slowly so you can get most of your data. SSD die suddenly and completely. Backups are necessary. I tend to keep operating systems (which can be recreated) on the SSD and try to keep my data on traditional disks. If you don't have a WWAN card, think about getting a disk for your OS mSATA and keeping your old drive for data
