Replace the GPU GT 530

I have a pavilion HPE h8-1150uk, 530 GT GPU fan begins to make noise and I would like to replace it.  I am aware of the difficulties of the BIOS etc of these machines when you choose a replacement of the GPU and I would appreciate your recommendations for a replacement of the GPU.

Thank you very much.

I decided to abort the mission, I removed the GT530, as it deepened the own and it works fine. However, he taught me never to buy a HP desktop computer ever, due to their poor after sales maintenance of the MoBo BIOS.

  • Can I replace the GPU on Satellite L300D?

Hi, I have a problem with my Satellite L300D.

From the start after about 15-20 seconds it stops not to reach any screen. I took it to a real PC repair company and after a few days that they be taught me the graphics card had packed and needed replacement for the sum of £ 70. Tell him what I kind a second opinion and spoke to a friend I.T. from my friends who said that we can not just replace the GPU as it is part of the motherboard and it would cost more than £150.

Could someone advise / tell me who is right, the laptop is about 4 years old. Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thank you very much
    Paul

In General, your friend IT is right. On mobile laptops graphics card is attached to the motherboard and cannot be replaced or upgraded.

In such cases service order new mainboard and replace it. Problem is that this new mainboard is quite expensive.

  • Satellite M100 - dead display / replace the GPU

I had my motherboard replaced under warranty in 2007 due to a broken USB port. 3 months later I started having intermittent problems with no display on the screen during startup. Now these are the death completely. called tech support and I tried using the external monitor... still no display, they said, most likely the ATI GPU was dead... the saddest is what is no longer covered by the warranty, even if the mothboard has just replaced.

Anyone know if I can replace just the 1400 Radeon ATI GPU? If this isn't a replacement motherboard part number?

    Hello wongie

I can say with certainty that the replacement of the GPU is not possible. The graphics card is attached to the motherboard and it cannot be replaced separately.
Unfortunately, the motherboard part number is unclear to me. It is not easy to get the info.
But you know exact model laptop and it can help.
You want to buy a new or maybe used one on eBay?

You can not. The 4000 Intel is part of the cpu. The other card graphics if there is none are also part of the motherboard.

  • Replacement of the GPU on Satellite A210

Is it possible to replace the GPU in Satellite A210?

As a little faster plugged PCIexpress for example?

    Hello

    What do you do exactly?
You want to remove the VGA card only or you want to upgrade the GPU with another?

I think the GPU are removable (means not fixed/welded) but it of not possible to update the graphics card of laptop s. The BIOS would not support another graphics card.

  • HP DV7-1373: replace the video card

My laptop came with ATI Moblility Radeon HD 4200 GPU which is not supported by Windows 8.1. I want to replace the GPU, but I don't know how same store for her. Compatibility issues abound and I want to assure you that once I have a purchase, it will be for a product that will actually work in my laptop.

My system came with Windows 7 Home Premium installed x64bit.

Can someone please point me in the right direction for a GPU (AMD or Intel is really immaterial) that will work as well under Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Cost is a problem, the cheaper, without renouncing the quality is better.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi there @jpr9845,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions.

What is the model number so I can look up page of your specific driver as well as the maintenance and Service of Guide that will give you what would be compatible with your laptop this way, you're not wasting money if you can't pass the CPU.

Some CPU is also right integrated in the motherboard, if that is the case also, has no way for you to spend just the CPU. You will need to change the entire motherboard.

If you want to talk with someone, please follow the link to create yourself a file number, then call and he can speed up the process:

  • is the GPU of NVIDIA chip on the motherboard for HP Pavilion dv9420us

My HP Pavilion DV9420us just went 'all white' and now won't show anything.  It also keeps cycling on and outside.

I just read that a class action has been filed last year (2010) against NVIDIA on GPU chipset.  It's time to add my complaint to the trial.

So, as my laptop is 'dead' anyway, I want to replace the GPU NVIDA myself.  I know that it is on a 'table', so I have to replace the Board on what it is.

My questions are: is this on the motherboard? or on a separate Panel? When I opened the laptop, the chip is identified as "NVIDIA" blah, blah, blah?

I have built office machines and have replaced a video screen on another laptop, so I am familiar with the "inner".

Just like get some info before I try this.

I have a device to get "dead" files on HARD drive, but when I looked at the pins of the connector on the HARD drive (2), they are 90 ° to the HD and separated, very different from a 'normal' laptop HD where the stems come out all right.

I found a place on the WEB that has a motherboard for my laptop, about $165.

    Any info will be appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.  You will need to replace the mother board to replace the video card. See Chapter 5 for removal and replacement procedures.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01311536.PDF

I'm sure it's a standard SATA HDD and you just have to remove the adapter in.

In any case, Chapter 5 provides procedures for withdrawal and replacement for that too.

  • Satellite C660D-153 - replacement of the GPU

I think I need to replace the video card on my laptop but thought I would check with you if there are other solutions. A few days ago, I was working on a document when an internal click under the keyboard led to a split screen and test color lines appearing on the monitor. Only led restart it happen again after the start-up phase.

The screen now shows what looks like a staircase in the middle of the screen with imagesrushing tear down one side and static vertical coloured lines on the other.

    Any ideas, suggestions welcome.

Replacement of the GPU is not possible.
If the GPU is dead, the motherboard with the GPU must be replaced.

Good day and welcome to the community.

Although the machine has a discrete GPU, it is actually soldered to the system board, is not extensible.

Sorry, but hope that helps to clarify.

  • Replacing the fan for w/15.4 "screen and GPU integrated T60

    Greetings,

The combo fan/heater several months ago, I bought for my T60 was apparently the 41W6409 for a T60 with discreet gpu and cpu, but mine is an integrated model that uses the 41W6408.

As I can't return it, I was just thinking to replace the old fan with that on the new heatsink. But I'm not sure that it will fit, being the only FRU I could find for the Fan/Heatsink combo.

So, I was wondering if someone here who happened to know if these fans are the same.

Thank you very much in advance.

Steve, you can use the unobtrusive radiator on your integrated motherboard. In fact, the best option in my opinion is to go with a T61 heatsink that is designed to cool the much more powerful X 3100 graphics and uses the thermal paste rather than pads type blade of silicone used to cool graphic systems T60. Alternatively, you can replace these pads with thermal paste on the heatsink T60 but unity T61 is better in my opinion. I can't tell you if the fans are interchangeable, because there was more than one fan used on the T60 models intel, some were, and some were not. There was also a discreet couple different sinks of heat, but will be more than enough for the cooling of your integrated graphics. Platform which cools the discrete gpu will not be used so it isn't a problem and cooling chipset platform will suffice for the cooling of your integrated graphics.

  • Replacement of the GPU for 2012 m17x R4

    Hello

Theres a ton of messages on GPU updates for the R4 m17x but seeing that the machine is so if old now, I don't know what cards are still manufactured that will be compatible is also in Australia, I don't know if this whats available effects or even if this is the right place for this post.

Currently, the system runs on the processor i7-3610QM at 2.30 GHz with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675 M, seems to graphics card however need to replace like theres something wrong with it that forces the system to screen blue or just completely closed and he only does when the graphics card is enabled.

So my question is, what graphics cards can it be replaced by?

    Thank you.

Before I suggest upgrades, can especially point out the temperature of your laptop and the GPU? I wonder if the laptop itself is not too hot (it happens if you don't make any periodical maintenance).

Regarding updates, upgrades Alienware-tested are the following.

    • GTX 680 m
    • HD 7970 m

    Community-tested upgrades are as follows.

    • 700 m series GTX, GTX 870 m, GTX 880 m and GTX 965 m GTX 980 m.
    • HD 8970 m / R9 m290x (same GPU, different name)
  • Cannot find the display driver just after the replacement of the GPU on Satellite P200

I got my laptop yesterday to SAV, because my graphics card has been damaged.

Now I can start Notepad, but in the hardware Manager is only an entry for the VGA, the new map, which should be in the notebook, the Manager cannot be found.

I tried to find it with the plug-and-play, but with no result.
The system is only VGA... After that I tried with a catalytic ATI 8.9 driver. But after installing it do not work too (I restarted the NB)

May I use the wrong driver from ATI, but I can't find an entry for Mobility Radeon HD 2600.
Only Radeon 2600 Hd. I'm not sure; This driver also works for mobility?

Can you give me a link to the correct driver?

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what series of laptop you have.
Then you are sure that another graphics chip has been used?
Are you sure that it is a Mobility Radeon 2600 HD graphics card?

If you are not 100% sure I would recommend contact the technician who changed the GPU and seek clarification; What GPU chip has been used and where to find the driver.

I'd appreciate some feedback from you!

Sorry for the bad English, it wasn't my translation...

My question is, if I can raplace or let replace the graphics card in this model: Satellite L70-A-143.

  • Can I replace the graphics card on Tecra M2?

I have a Tecra M2 and the display shows verticle lines across the entire screen. These lines also appear when plugged upward on a normal screen.
I checked Device Manager and it says that the nvidia card "cannot start." The problems had me uninstall and won't reinstall, no luck.
Next option is to unplug and then plug back in, but is it possible? If it is separate would rather just replace the card. Thanks for any help.

    Chase

From your description of the error, this really sounds like a malfunction of the GPU (graphics processing unit).
Unfortunately, it is a serious offense and if a replacement of material you will not be able to fix this :(

It is a case value because you can not only replace the graphics card. You need to replace the whole motherboard because the GPU is soldered on the Board and cannot be removed easily.

There is nothing to my buddy.
Seems that you need to contact a support technician.

    Good luck

  • Temperature of the GPU on Satellite P100-102

Does anyone know the values of normal temperature for the GPU from NVIDIA 7600 Go series? After replacing the motherboard by the service, the GPU reached 82 degrees Celsius (180 deg F) (without executing 3d application) and only the main cooler blows. Under 3D performance he attained values around 100 degrees Celsius.
The values were obtained with the Everest program!

    Thank you
    Jan

    Hello

Have you noticed the same temperature before replacing the motherboard?
AFAIK the P100 supports a clean cooler graphics card.
Two heat sinks are placed on the map: one for the CPU and a GPU.

It seems that the GPU heatsink does not work. Why? Maybe the technician didn't properly connect I n don't know
But try to contact the service guys again I think they should check again before the GPU goes dead
