  When I do a cd burned with my windows dvd maker, dvd will play only once on my blu - ray player separated from the TV.  It works fine the first time, but the Player cannot find the disc any time after that.  I use dvd + r discs.  Is there a formatting problem, or do I need to get the dvd + rw discs.  I'm really at a loss.  Thanks for your help guys!

  -After playback of the disc on the Blu - ray drive, the drive is not detected on your desktop/computer laptop with no problems?

  To use certain kinds of CD or DVD discs outside of your computer, you must close the session, which is a process that prepares the disc to be read by other computers and players.

  You can try to close or finalize the CD/DVD and check if it makes a difference.

• Remote control DVD "skip" function does not work for Blu - ray (Encore CS5) projects

  I graduated from SD to HD and I need help.

  I just finished my first project HD in CS5, he engraved on a Blu - ray disc and immediately encountered a problem: jump jump forward and backwards remote functions do not work.   However, after burning the blu - ray disc and pressing the buttons "jump back" or "forward" on the remote (Panasonic DMP-BD65) Blu - ray player, the 'Operation not permitted' message. (This very remote button function works on all my SD projects).

  You may be able to control some functions of the system, Home Theater Blu - ray Disc using third party remotely. However, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer of the remote control for more information about the programming of the remote control. This is because manufacturers can set different code numbers in their universal remote controls to identify the infrared (IR) signal of a Sony product. Thus, the code number used to operate a Sony product in one remote can be different from the one used by another.

  You can try playing a disc and perform functions of the player using the control buttons on the front of the BD player.

• Blu Ray player can not read the DVD. It can read CDs and Blu Ray discs, but not DVD.

  Recently, I lost my hard drive.  Dell sent me a new disk with the drivers that came with the computer.

  I just noticed that my Blu Ray player is no longer playing DVDs.  I don't know if the hard drive crash has nothing to do with it, or if it's a coincidence.

  Windows says I have the latest driver.

  The computer is a Dell XPS 8300.   Is the Blu Ray player: bd - re bh30n hl-dt-st.

  The player has not served almost at all.   I read that there are the eyes for the Blu Ray vs DVD, then maybe the DVD part has failed.

  I'm always suspect that miss me a piece of software or a changed value.

  Any ideas?

  For all of you, the poor souls who shared my problem on the internet, I got beyond that.   Even though all said I had the latest driver, I found someone who said that they had downloaded a newer driver form the LG site and it fixed the problem.   Well, BH30N wasn't a model # on the LG site, but I found here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1703-file_BH30N-A103.zip.html Norton said it was OK, I clicked on the EXE file, he said that he had me upgrade from A101 to A103 and suggested that I reload.   Once I did, my Blu Ray player will read the DVD fine.

  EMachines replaced my hard drive. I normally share files between computers with CDs and DVDs. returning from a trip, I downloaded photos and videos of my Sony camera to computer vista with Solution Explorer, as usual. I burned the pictures and videos on CD and I tried to transfer them to my Toshiba laptop, XP. The trasfered from videos, but the image file was empty. I have repeated twice, thus closing manually. Thew CD shows as complete on the vista machine.

• Some of the Menus Adobe Premiere element cause DVD burning failures?

  Some of the Adobe Menus cause DVD burning failures?   What should have been a project of 10 minutes for a small 4 minute video took hours as burning DVDs stopped at 4% and then gave a message of "something has prevented completion in progress DVD burning".  I could finally solve it down for the Menu template, and when an audio clip looping has been added.  The Menu was built for an audio clip loop, but when I removed it the fine burned DVD.

  Since my last post, I checked that my drivers are up to date.   Driver updates were made to the display card Intel HD 4600 Graphics and Chipset Intel 8 series/C220 family SATA AHCI Controller.

  I created a new project and changed the flow of work to remove the check mark from selection to 'Add Menu markers automatically for me'.   When the menu has been selected and displayed, only the main Menu was to confirm that I didn't remove the Menu scenes.   At this point, I finished the remaining workflow and tried to burn on DVD using the stated parameters previously.   However, it had the same failed result.

  I went then to the path of Premiere Elements menu bar: Edit > Preferences > General

  The option "use hardware acceleration (works on Intel HD Graphics 2000 and higher)" has been selected.  I unchecked this option and clicked on the OK"" button.   I then tried to burn DVD with DVD NTSC_Widescreen_Dolby preset.

  Success!   The DVD was burned and confirmed to work in older DVD player (AVCHD burning earlier disk did not work in older DVD player, but worked in a new Blu - Ray player).

  It seems that the "use hardware acceleration" option preferred default was the problem in the prevention of burning DVDs.

  Bought an OMEN that contains a DVD multi drive super slim.  Can not find the specs/size, but want to replace either with my own player multi HP Blu - Ray (standard size) or at least buy a similar one of the correct size ' ultra thin '.  The standard training can be used?  What is the maximum size of the thin varieties that works?  Thank you.

  Once you have removed the old computer Blu - ray player, you can compare the size of the disk with the one provided with the computer of omen, if is the size, you can certainly use it on the new computer.

  The fact is that the CD/DVD drive in your G40 doesn t support only HD DVD but also to other formats. The ability of HD - DVD is only a part of this drive.
  It is fully backward compatible and supports the standard DVD - RW SuperMulti (DL) too.
  In addition, there are more than 800 movie titles available for the HD DVD format which can be played in G40.

  In any case I didn t find any information on the availability of Blue ray discs in other Toshiba laptops. Who knows what will happen in the future

  The Blu - ray in my Touchsmart IQ830 dvd drive died and I need to find a replacement. It came with a Sony BC5600S, which is not done more. Does anyone know what is the equivalent and where I can get one?

  (b) recognized by the BIOS but Windows then refused to start with attached.

  The two discs are identical, they can read and write CDs and DVDs and to read (but not write) Blu - ray. They are written differently because Lenovo doing weird things like that. For example, in configurations of Y480 they are all listed as having "Bluetooth 4.0" except one which is just listed as having "Bluetooth." Sometimes, when they add new configurations to the page, they will write some of the specifications without checking existing configurations to ensure uniformity in the way they write the terminology. Include DVD double or double layer dvd too

  Normally I do not answer on this forum because that HP tollaly messed up everything on their Web sites. Your computer may not always play Blue Ray Disc unless you purchased a driver Blue Ray Optipical a surcharge. As you've found Hp has a set very limmited cd / dvd codes there. An option for the last time I check update update cost $87,00 codes. For the link to update in excess open HP Media Player click Refresh. You'll see what I mean that it is an update that you must buy if you want the update. Second option is to just buy an external cd / dvd player witch is cheeper then updating all together. Not only that when you get back you don't have to buy the update again. When you perform a restore, you lose your update.

  Now Software Web for you.  Open Manager HP recovery and software selection and drivers until it clicks. Opens a list go to the bottom of the list and click on canvas magic hp HP Touchsmart 4. HP Touchsmart 4 is already in HP Touchsmart desktop computer.  I don't know how the model of your computer listed there. If you need to load it on the HP website. I will then have the rest of the information on your computer. HP Touchsmart - 320? ???
