• Screen Rotate button on TouchSmart Tm2t-2100

  I recently bought the Tablet TouchSmart tm2t-2100, and there is a button on the side of the screen that allows the user to rotate the screen without having to use the mouse and change through software. When I press this button, it does nothing. I looked through the settings graphics, utility hp and many other places and found nothing on how to fix this. Any ideas?

  Anyone know if the recovery disk Windows 7 for laptop HP ProBook 640 G2 is compatible with the HP TouchSmart tm2t-2200 CTO Notebook PC?

  When I bought the Tm2 a few years back, I not create a system for her recovery disk. Now that I have the ProBook 640, and realize how much faster it is... I want to do a restart of the system on the Tm2 and add the extra 4 gigs of RAM.

  The proBook 640 came with recovery disks when I bought it...  Anyone know if I could also use them for the tm2?

  Probably an obvious answer to this... I just haven't the experience or the knowledge base.

  Unfortunately, they won't work no-recovery media reads a "tattoo" on the bios in order to validate that it is used on the machine, they were intended.

• TouchSmart Envy 17-j153cl: how to replace HDD on Touchsmart Envy 17-j153cl

  So, I am trying to replace the magnetic hard disk of my envy 17 1 to with a form factor of the Samsung 850 Evo Sata 500 GB SSD. I followed the guide maintenance and replacement to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04091762 , but when it came time actually extract the hard drive of my computer, I couldn't know how. I took some pictures of what it looks like inside my computer, and here they are: https://goo.gl/photos/RLmPNcYfzq5Lf5Ah6 . As you can see, there is a blue rubbery case around my hard drive, but taking part and other top does not move the hard drive, and I didn't use the maximum force in the case where the Bay broke. The manual says to unplug the cable from the hard drive, but I can't unplug it for lack of space. Any help would be appreciated.

• Looking to order a replacement part

  One of my colleagues broke a part off their printers HP LaserJet multifunction 1536dnf and now it doesn't work at all.

• TouchSmart 15-r264dx: where can I get a replacement part/repair existing part?

  My laptop HP - TouchSmart 15-r264dx (ENERGY STAR) - does not light. After dissasembling, I found that the link between the small Board with the power button and the cable Ribbon 4 son who brings back us to the motherboard was broken. I tried to fix it by pressing the four sons on their contacts, press the power button then. Who did not, which probably indicates that once the connection is lost, it cannot be delivered. So I need to find a solution for this, or buy a spare part. The part is: TMT ARE - 4 has 1 E114139 54V-0 (should be at the same time the chip power button and cable sheet, connected).

  PS. The computer works apart from the failure of the power button, as I hit two of the contact wires in the cable Ribbon together and it turned on. In addition, I don't know if it's a 64-bit or 32-bit, but I doubt that this will have on the solution weight.

  I have a superficial crack on the lid on my laptop HP 15-p030NR beats Special Edition. I had a few plastic welding done to keep the crack spread too, but she snapped again.   The best way to search for parts of the laptop is to search by part number, not the model number of the laptop. Remove the part you want to replace so you can use it to reference looking for a replacement.

  In fact, I disassembled a dv2500 and a dv2000 and dv6000 an a dv6500. They are similar but slightly different. The two types of main models are the dv2000/6000 with model numbers dvx000 to dvx499, then the largest number starting with dvx500 and top model. And then remember there are Intel and AMD each versions.

  This site has service manuals for any of the above and you can use the maintenance manual for cross reference numbers.

  Above are links to the respective manuals for the dv2000 and the dv2500 and I could link you to the dv6000 dv6500 manuals.

  In other words there is no simple way to answer your question in all areas. What part? What model?

  The dv2000/2500 series are screens of 13 inches, the dv6000/6500 are 15 inches (15.4 widescreen) and the dv9000/9500 are 17 inches.  Electronic components are similar. But for example on the dv2000 it used readers CD/DVD IDE and then the used dv2500 SATA CD/DVD players are therefore not interchangeable. Obviously, the width of the keyboard is different depending on the size of the screen. Once again, what model, what part? It's like asking will be 68 Camaro parts work in a 70 Camaro... Some will, some won't, it depends.
