• Screen Rotate button on TouchSmart Tm2t-2100

  I recently bought the Tablet TouchSmart tm2t-2100, and there is a button on the side of the screen that allows the user to rotate the screen without having to use the mouse and change through software. When I press this button, it does nothing. I looked through the settings graphics, utility hp and many other places and found nothing on how to fix this. Any ideas?

  FWIW, I have a tx2 and ProcMon shows that on this QLBCTRL.exe charges BezlACTN.dll whenever I press this button.  Which is just filtering with Thread and process activity.   It appears, after enabling activity RegMon, it comes from which it came

• Satellite Pro 2100 memory upgrade

  I want to update my sp2100 with additional 512 MB RAM, but the online manual and online technical specifications contradict each other.

  The online manual says (on page 1-3) for the celeron
  memory models max is 1 GB (CSD) and for the P4 512 MB (DDR) models
  Online status product specifications up to 1 GB (DDR)
  When I take a glance on the extensions page 'by 'model' on the site of toshiba 512 MB modules are available for my laptop.

  My laptop: SP2100 P4-1700/256 / 30 G, 15XT, CDW, LM
  I guess it's the same as 'Satellite Pro 2100 P4 - M 1.7GHz/256MB/30GB/15"/DVD_CDRW/L/XPP sort' since that looks like mine more

  Maybe 2 same-capacity modules need to be installed?

• Replacement parts HP TouchSmart tm2t-2100 body plastic

  my friend () has fallen from a laptop and border around display of cracked plastic. Even if the continuous computer work without problem, the aesthetic aspect is it bothers. The laptop is still under warranty, but I doubt that the repair can be done for free.

  My questions are:

  1. is it possible to order the broken plastic piece?

  2. how much HP would charge for replacement?

  3. is there a third party repair center that can order and replace the part?

  Hi sat 2100 and looking at 1 GB but laptop reconises only 512 meg and wont work at all with 2 x 512.
  Would be a bios update help?

  It is the maximum value that can be used in the notebook.
  The BIOS will not help because it is a hardware limitation of motherboard!

  -TouchSmart tm2t 2100 tablet PC laptop

  -Windows 7 Home Basic 64-Bit

  I use the DVD of system recovery to restore the system.

  The process is currently blocked to the point where I wonder to customize my email. This is part of the support of "quick access" before the startup of the operating system.

  There is no mouse when I meet this screen.

  I started in the BIOS and disabled the "fast Web" as boot option. I never really used it anyway. It seems that got me back to set up Windows for the process of first use. I will confirm that it worked as soon as I can.

• Windows 8 display problem

  2 years ago, I bought a HP Touchsmart tm2t-2100, with windows 7, now I have installed windows 8, formatting the hard drive, to get a clean install. but now I have this problem: when I start and stop the pc everything works fine, but when I try to RESTART, after loading windows 8 logo screen stays black... so I tried to put the machine in stand-by (with the physical button) and then with the same action, I have reactivated the pc and the login screen is displayed, that every time I reboot the machine. but the worst thing is that when I close the lid of the computer goes to sleep, but when I reopen it the the computer wakes up, but the screen remains black then I can't access the computer... and I can't do anything Infact when I try the way of confirmation (the solution to the problem of restarting) the screen remains black. a strange thing is that when I start the pc the first thing I see the simple HP logo, but in restarts it under the logo appears the massage "press to enter the bios.

  so I don't understand if the problem is the graphics drivers or bios, could you tell me the way to solve the problem?

  Recently I bought memory from Crucial for my Satellite A60 - 302 the book of Toshiba I said should use PC 2100 but Crucial insist that it's OK to use PC2700 which is what they have delivered me with.

  At the bottom of the unit, you should find a memory cache location. As far as I know it s placed in the middle.
  Under this coverage, you should find two locations. A slot uses 256 MB module, and the second site should be free.

  The easiest way to see if the error occurs due to the memory card is to remove them and restart the unit. If the unit works properly without resend memory.

• Satellite Pro 2100 is really really slow running

  I have a satellite pro 2100 I killed a friend.
  He said his brother gave him and that he had no idea what was wrong because he didn't have a chance to watch it.

  I put windows xp pro top and used the bottom of the laptop pro license key.

  but the laptop is really really slow.
  It may take up to 5 minutes for nothing I click to open up.

  the strange thing is the laptop works fine in safe mode, can open things like I should.

  but in normal windows mode, it slows down to a crawl and even crashes.

  I have trie all to my knowledge.
  I even uninstalled and turn off the graphics drive that I thought that he maybe, but he always does.

  I tried multiple copies different from xp pro and even tried a copy of vista, but still the same.

  He had 2 different lots of tried in ram, 2 sticks was new aswel. I tried 3 different hard drives and still the same.

  My thoughts are that the integrated graphics card is exhausted.

  can anyone else confirm this? Certainly this isn't a software issue because I tried a few different copies of xp and vista. IM about to bin it now.

  First laptop computer is an oldie.
  The Mobile Intel Pentium 4 CPU, isn t a up to date CPU and in my opinion, that don't expect too much performance.

  I put t know how this camera supports memory but everything below 1 GB of Ram would be good enough to the smooth running of the laptop.

  However, given that the unit works much faster saving mode, I guess there must be a hardware related problem.
