  • HP Touchsmart 610-1180qd - update graphics card?

    It's customizable PC I: TouchSmart 610-1180qd

Hello! I'm not a noob when it comes to computers, in fact: I am an expert technician. I know this question has been asked a million times, but I could not find a current thread for my model. I've never worked with before all-in-one desktop computer. I know that they are more closely related to laptops rather than desktops and that they will use mobile graphics because of this cards. I love this new PC, it has everything the most of what HP has to offer me for this model, except the graphics card. At the point where they did not offer me a good Nvidia 2 GB graphics card so I went with the 2 GB ATI Radeon HD 5570, who was the best at the time, and I'm not a fan of Radeon. I look at the list of maps they offer now, and they are all much better that what I initially offered me a month earlier, when I was building my PC. My card is still not listed as an option more! I'm a little upset. My current card is down the performance of my computer. Everything else is the killer. I experience lag on some games that shouldn't be known with high graphics settings! This thing has a processor 3,4 GHz with the addition of power up to 3.8 GHz and 16 GB of DDR3 RAM! No reason for any kind of lag, it... This is the graphic card... He is lame, I didn't in my PC at all, but I had to.

Currently, the best maps that they offer right now for my PC model starting from 09/06/2011 is:

2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M

2 GB, Radeon HD 6550 has

I prefer Nvidia card much more because I want to play Final Fantasy 14 online. They are specific to the Nvidia cards only. In addition, I always preferred Nvidia at the expense of others and am not loving this Radeon HD 5570 much or not at all.

My question is: can I order a cards online that is currently listed for the configuration of my computer and then just install it on mine? The site says nothing about the integrated graphics card, so there should be a chance, I can update. This is the same exact computer, but they seem to change the list of graphics cards every few weeks. I don't know how to go on the opening of this computer to check. Any help would be appreciated. I love this computer to death but this lame Radeon graphics card is lower to paralyze it's game performace. I should be able to play all the latest games on the high graphics with little or no problems. This PC is a beast in all, buuuuut... I hate this graphics card which is currently in so much! I paid around $2 k for this PC AIO, and his graphic part is killing me for the high end games.

Or... What other graphics cards that I would be able to put in it? Those registered are not really as high engine.

    Thank you!

You'd be better off looking at all the previous discussions on this topic, is not easy to replace cards because they are portable format MXM cards and the HP BIOS is picky about which cards and GPU BIOS revisions he loves.

In general, the notice was not worth the time, energy, cost and frustration to replace.

  • How do you send netflix through my touchsmart 610-1280qd to my TV

I can't understand how to stream netflix to my TV on my Touchsmart 610-1280qd.  I have no problem streaming from my Envy laptop but it is very hot (even with an external fan) and noise requires speakers.  I had a second monitor attached to the 610-1280qd, but he said to duplicate postings.  It does not work.  Disconnected secondary monitor completely - that didn't work.  I also had a failure of installing Chromecast on the 610. Is it possible to stream with a touch screen to a TV?

Hooray, solved.  I had already set up a second monitor (using the hp video referenced in several responses) with a StarTech USB to DVI video adapter for the second monitor 2310 m older HP.  When I went to pick him up for the 'video USB connector"referenced elsewhere in the forum, I came across a dollar 20.00 adapter DVI to HDMI by GE (Walmart).

By connecting this piece to the USB adapter to DVI video, it worked for access to television.  I have to unplug the adaptor DVI monitor cable and replace it with the DVI-HDMI adapter and HDMI cable (less than a minute), which allows me to watch netflix on my TV movies.  I will say that I would not have thought it with the forum, the news of cat info and visually see the possibility that the small DVI to HDMI adapter would work. Good luck to those who always try to watch television through their touchscreen.

It seems to me that when there are 1100 more we try to see how to do this that HP would create a specific page or a video for us help to know how to "connect your touch screen to your TV.  I spent 3-4 hours trying to find information to solve a problem that shouldn't exist in the first instance. I don't understand why there is no video output on touch screens.

shared for me to know how to solve?

    Hello David Edward,.

Your system originally came with Windows 7?

Have you tried reseating the RAM stick? Sometimes, that's all it takes.

I got a stick go bad causing a system to have the exact symptoms you describe.

The system will use the built-in memory RAM. If the RAM is bad, it can cause the effect of black screen.

You can also run a diagnostic memory via the bios here test...

HP Notebook PC - detection of hardware failures (Windows 7, Vista)

You can also run a memtest from a USB or DVD.

MemTest86 - Official Site of the x 86 memory test tool

Ideal would be to have another stick of ram to replace with to test.

  • HP TouchSmart 610 BIOS, all elements are gray and inaccessible?

    Hello

    HP TouchSmart 610-1010sc

BIOS HP version 6.09 (FRIEND BIOS 2.6 x)

I am able to get into the BIOS with F10, but every time he asks: ' "user CURRENT password:".

When I type the password (empty) computer gives 2 long beeps and it enters BIOS.

But the PROBLEM is that all the elements are disabled...

Which means that all the items are grayed. If I look at the instructions of the BIOS (HP bios for motherboard F01 settings) there are many editable parameters (BLUE) as boot disks, lan onboar elements, load default configuration etc.

But in my computer, everything is visible, but GRAY and inaccessible. I can't access or modify anything even not "Load setup defaults". Only active items are "Exit ignorant changes" and "Exit save changes."

    What's not here?

How can I access BIOS so that I can change the settings normally?

Finally the BIOS and boot LOGO obtained works!

I noticed that, after CMOS, reset all the product data in the SYSTEM IDs inside the HP BIOS section me wiped out.

So I had to enter my BIOS by CTRL + F10 instead of normal F10, so that the ID SYSTEM fields are editable.

Then just re-typed all the information of two stickers found the back of the computer.

First content SERIES only and PART SKU No.. Second was BUILD ID, BYTES and NAME OF THE PRODUCT FUNCTIONALITY.

NOTICE! Note that you can type BYTES of FUNCTIONALITY that once, when recording it will be grayed out out/no editable.

After saving these changes to the BIOS and restart the computer, the LOGO is the settings the computer BIOS and fully accessible back once more

  • Just bought HP Touchsmart 610-1151f. Can I order recovery disks?

    Hello

I just bought a HP Touchsmart 610-1151f used. The seller has removed the hard drive, so I have another one ready to put in.

I've been more ore less you wonder if I'm allowed to order replacement recovery disks and install it on the hard disk, I put into the system? I am familiar with licensing how to work with HP. If that's not allowed, I could install some programs included once I got my license? I'm only really afraid with the Touchsmart and HP Beats software.

In addition, according to the serial number, the warranty is still active. Coverage continues after the original owner?

Thanks for your help! I'm excited to try this thing!

IIf you order it site Web HP, then you worry about licensing. An operating system OEM that does not require license keys to register. This is a Windows version of pre-rigestered on all HP computers.

  • TouchSmart 610: PC off completely unexpected

    Hi all

I hope you can help, I spent hours scouring the forums to find answers. I have a friends computer I tried to fix, are rarely a problem that I can't, but this one left me speechless.

From what I can tell, it was a common fault with the power brick and the system completely shut down for what seems like no reason. So I replaced the power brick, still the same issue.

I checked the ram, I used memtest 86... the computer crashed almost instantly so perhaps I thought that the ram was also an issue. I replaced the ram with ram I know works, but it is still completely off.

I did a full scan of the hard drive and can't find bad sectors or errors.

the problem first started happening with win7 home (what it came with), I replaced it with win7 Ultimate (new installation). so it is definitely not the operating system.

It drives me completely crazy, it seems there is no other thread I can find where the problem got to this level with this model.

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Please come back to me, I wanted to test my theory a few days before I posted. I eventually found the problem it seems that nobody else has. With the HP touchsmart 610, it appears with the power brick and the common memory issues it seems to be another HUGE problem I suspect will be a normal thing in the factory. I tried as you know and he had baffled me but I was convinced that it should be a matter of hearing.

I found the solution... At least that worked for me. It turns out that it was not any thermal past between the cpu and the heatsink... NO WHAT SO EVER. I put on a past thermal and two days non stop with on a stop down. So the problem is solved. Thank you for your help.

but whenever I have to restore the partition, that seems not function all I get is a black screen, then he told me BOOTMNGR is missing and the F11 key no longer works

    * PS: I live in Tunisia and I can't order the recovery DVD

    Hello

If you place your order of recovery disks is not possible, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( must be the same version originally supplied with your PC - IE probably Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

  • TouchSmart 610 touched by flies. It can be adjusted?

My friend has problems with its touchsmart 610 and flies.  They are very attracted to the screen and move the cursor when it is running.  The touchsmart may be turned off the coast or adjust to be less sensitive?  I have searched for answers and you can find videos of youtube showing others having the same problem.  Thank you for your help.

    Thank you

    Hello @eferrari,

Thank you for being an active member of the HP's Support Forums.  I understand that since the upgrade to Windows 10 that your computer desktop TouchSmart 610 - 1120une no longer has the TouchSmart feature.   I am convinced that I will be able to help you find a solution, and I ask only that pay you it forward. When solve us the problem, I would mark you kindly post as accept as Solution so that others have the same or similar problem can find what worked for you.

I checked the drivers for your desktop computer, and there is currently no Windows 10 driver. I recommend that you please begin by examining Microsoft Windows 10 Configuration required to verify that it will support Windows 10. He never did hard time for use as a check. Another good reference is the document of desktop HP - upgrade to Windows 10 . There the measures to take before and after the upgrade.   The document of HP products - Solutions for Windows 10 has also some suggestions for where to find Windows 10 drivers and software for your model.

You can also use the link "Troubleshooting Windows Update tool" from the following link. You can 'open' or 'Save' the resolution of problems. She will be working to win 10, regardless of Windows 7 is in the URL. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter. Once launched it please use the second "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" option, this should lead to an update of the "Windows updates" cannot automatically applied.

What's the screen that comes on the computer when you turn it on now? You may need to use CDs to recover the operating system if it will not progress past that screen and the recovery of F11 does not work.
