Replacement PC with an iPad

Hello

My MacBook Pro is finally dead. I'm looking for a replacement but plans to go it alone with just an iPad. my MBP in recent times

served only two objectives; a place to store my photos and videos (which are all also fully stored in iCloud by using the photos of Mac app which means that I can and they primarily access my library on my iPhone with the app of the BONE) and a place to store my music also backed up iTunes library online with iDrive.

I have no use for all software on your laptop, not to play games, I play or need a disc from DVD/player. Based on this, I don't think I need or will miss a laptop. I can do anything I want on an iPad as I currently do with my iPhone 6 s (namely listen to my music, surf the Internet and view my photo and video library collection so why im account view of evolution into the iPad only.)

The only barrier that I can see is how can I make sure that my iTunes library is saved for years to come, but especially how I can protect and keep my photos and videos by simply using an iPad? Yes, I'm aware that my photos and video stored in iCloud in their original format, but what happens if this service was to cease offered by Apple, for example?

is there a kind of external hard drive that can connect (wireless?) to the iPad I can keep a backup of my photos videos on? How could transfer the files from my iPhone/iPad to an external hard drive without PC/computer laptop?

on an iPad Pro (256 GB) storage is more than enough for me my goods are 40gbs photos and videos and 50gbs in music, so the iPad Pro will be more than enough (took me years to acquire just 90 GB of data)

Thanks for the tips

There are wireless readers. the Kingston WiDrive, I have just one example. Hard drives wireless Google and search for one that looks good to you. Then use an app that goes along with the drive to manage your files and data transfers.

I agree keep your local data. I personally am not fan of cloud backups - largely because I have no idea where my data and who has access - and I feel that I could trust any company for timely and honestly tell me if my data are compromised. Im a big fan of using disks and keep it local.

It also has the advantage of working even if the internet is down or if you're in a place where there is no internet access.

  • Why my photos are taken with the iPad Pro only 72 dpi?

So I publish my own books in which I print A3 color photos... I want to use some of the pictures I took with my iPad 9.7 Pro. For all that it is supposed to be a good camera I do not see why my photos show that only 72 dpi...?  I need at least 300 dpi at print, could get away with 250 + and climb later in Photoshop, but 72 is horrible. What can I do?

View the dimensions in pixels of your image, not the CIO.

DPI is just a mathematical way to express the resolution. When you say "I need 300 dpi" is only half of the formula.

300 dpi at what number of inches?

An image that is 3000 pixels on the long side (wide) could be expressed as being...

    10 "wide @300 dpi (= 3000 pixels)

    5 "wide @ 600 dpi (= 3000 pixels)

    41.67 "wide @72 dpi. (= 3000 pixels)

Actual size of the image remain the same. By default, Photoshop to express everything at 72 dpi.

  • Charge the iPhone 6 + with 10W iPad adapter

    Hey all buddy!

    1 question.

I want to buy an adapter for my iPhone 10W 6 +.

iPhone 6 + is delivered with a charger of Amper 1 but this one is 2.1 Amper, it recharges 2 times faster, but I wonder is this dangerous or harmful to the battery of my Smartphone!

    Hello

iPhone only 6 more can be charged with any iPad Apple USB Power Adapter.

Note, however, that your iPhone is charging not twice faster, using an adapter 10W compared using the iPhone 5W power adapter. Your iPhone will draw a bit more power of an adapter of 10W at certain times, but no double - she will draw only what suits him.

  • I have a problem really twisted with my Ipad mini

So he started 3 days ago. I went into the shower with my Ipad on the receiver to play music on Youtube, and sometimes I would "Skip Ad" with my wet finger. I do it on the times and nothing bad really happens. So after that I did, it was always very well so I turned it off and when I went back to play NBA on my Ipad locking button, Bell push button and volume buttons were going mad. Lock button would be closed with force my Ipad and sometimes tell me to turn it off completely. Volume was just as its buttons are down and the ringtone is simply crazy. So I'm looking whay could be the problem and I discovered that this could be the humidity could get that I was a little skeptical because I take a cold shower but still thinks there is water inside. It is not my wet finger pressing the screen because only the upper buttons are affected "home" button is fine. in any case, since I thought it was the water inside I put in a bag of rice for 2 days by the window. When I checked the lock button was not working so I opened using the "home" button and got in all was fine, and even the volume was good. When I checked the banders the Ipad suddenly off then I pressed the lock button was surprised an i t was working again but the. It turned off again once I turned it back on I was afraid that there's water still inside so I tried to stop, but no longer works so he acted alone and gave me the optikn to close it so I did but I remembered that lockbutton was not working so I panicked and tried to turn it back on when he did it showed the apple logo and then closes and then shlwing the apple logo in a loop, he managed to stop when I was sitting home and lock button together now it woldnt open what should I do? This is the hand of NDDN so no warranty

This stuff is very very hard to say.

It is possible that the iPad has received some kind of moisture which can affect functionality.

    He charges?

    You see the charging symbol?

You can plug on the computer and things be taken up fine on iTunes?

Safari and other browsers slow / time out

    Software update check fails sporadically

    Poor overall performance (buffering, etc.)

After basic troubleshooting, I reset my device complete.  Restore failed several times, but finally went through.  All the problems remain.  The machine had no problem before 9.3.2 - is possible to downgrade or solve this problem?

I also have 2 Air iPad. I encounter the same problem you have. Maybe Apple will work on this problem on the next IOS updates.

  • Why not my iPhone 6 s more synchronize with my iPad

I've just updated from an iPhone 5 to 6 s more... my iphone 5 used to synchronize with the iPad, however, since I started to use the new phone today, it will not sync with my iPad!

I tried icloud and all that good stuff, but it still does not work what I am doing wrong

iPhone and iPad will not sync.

The synchronization is performed using the computer iTunes or iCloud (backup/restore).

Note: the version of iOS on both devices should be the same.

  • This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPad.

I get the following message: "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPad." Oh, and the message repeats every so often. At first, I thought maybe would it be the earbuds, but I get the message, even though no headphones are attached. I get the message when no cable is attached. This occurs even if no cable is fixed. A hypothesis as to what is happening there?

    < re-titled by host >

These alerts can appear for several reasons: the cable is defective, damaged or may not be certified by Apple, or your device might have an accumulation of dirt or damage. Follow these steps:

Before you try the following steps, make sure that the USB cable and your port is clean!

    1. Restart your iOS device.
    2. Try a different cable certified by Apple or a charger.
    3. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.
    4. Contact Apple support to implement the service.

I hope that you will charge your iPad in no time!
