Replacing special characters when writing to a file

I use the following to replace Muñoz (n with null).  It should produce as Muoz.

This should be simple, but it does not work.  209 and 241 represent the upper and the lower case n.

This statement is a CFFILE.  I'm generating the file but the n is still there.

Replace (LGL_NM, Chr (209) & chr (241),'3 ', 'all')

I also tried without success the following:

< cfset x = ReplaceNoCase(#Object_query.) LGL_NM #, "#Chr (209) # ',' ', 'all') > '"
< cfset LGL_NM = ReplaceNoCase (x, "#chr (241) #","", "all" "") >

Help, please.

Thank you!

Bill

#REReplaceNoCase (testString, "[#chr (209) ##chr (241) #]", "", "all") #.

  • Replace special characters in the FDF

    Hello

    I've looked everywhere and can't find the answer to this simple problem.  I can handle javascript in an HTML environment using free scripts, but it is not so easy in a PDF form.  I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and I have a form that once completed and submitted, generates and sends a FDF file.  I use a script on the server side, called FormGenie do this and the script hate parentheses and some other characters, they break the FDF file.  Everything I want to do is set up a document level Javascript that find and replace all instances of these special characters with something license as a hyphen - or just a space.

    I tried:

    function clearText() {}
    document. FormName.FieldName.Value = filterNum (document. FormName.FieldName.value)

    function filterNum (str) {}
    re = /\$|#|~|\%|\*|\^|\(|\)|\+|\=|\[|\]|\[|\}|\{|\;|\"|\<|\>|\?| \|| \\|\!| \$/g;
    remove special characters as ' $' and ',' etc...
    return str.replace (re, "-");
    }
    }

    and

    function clearText2 (str) {}

    stringName = stringName.replace (/------$| #| ~ |------% |------* |------^ | \(|\) |--------+ |------= |------[|------] |------[{|------} |------{|------; |------"|"}]) ------< | ------> | \ ? | \|| \\|\!| \$ /g,'-');
    }

    I know that these are not good, but I have to be at least barking to the top of the tree on the right.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    You create the form in Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer?

    In general, you can place a script typo in the script of the text of each filter field field hit, in the case where something replacing the user typed with something else would not cause the concern of the user. An alternative would be to be implemented a script that parses the fields just before the submission form action takes place and not to replace them.

    For example, you can use the following JavaScript typo customized for text fields created in Acrobat:

    If (! event.willCommit) {}

    Event.change = event.change.replace (/ [------$# ~ %------*------*------^ \ (\)------+=------[\]------{\};------"\<\>\?]) \ | \\\ !] /g, "-");

    }

    and it will replace these characters when the user types the data into a text field. May not include all the character you want replaced, but you should get the idea.

  • Replace special characters

    Hello

    I need SQL or PL/SQL code to replace special characters such as!, @, #, $, %, ^ of the given string.

    For example, if the given string is

    "it is - test * strin #g to @ spe % ial charact!" ERS"he should replace all special characters and provide the output voltage

    It's test string with special characters

    Please enter the code

    Thank you

    You have commas in the character set block and the [[: alnum:]] is equivalent to [a-zA-Z0-9], you may want to include a space in this updated chacter block.

    Select REGEXP_REPLACE ("This is test * strin #g to @ spe % ial charact!") ERS ',' [^ [: alnum:]] *', ")

    of the double

    Output

    It's test string with blue characters

    EDIT: I do not know what will want the characters allow the OP. For example, a comma, question mark, comma, colon, apostrophe, full stop etc. are all valid in a sentence.

When I export to html format in a folder this menu buttons don't work - html link - http://agml.pt/agmlteste/ . But when I save the temporary link Business Catalyst site - http://agml.businesscatalyst.com/ keys work well. Thanks for the help!

    The issue here is your host is not configured to serve the page with special characters names, but BC does not handle them correctly.

    Right-click on your pages and choose "Page Properties".  Go to the third tab, 'options', and clear the check box to use filename with the same name as the Page name.

    Use a file name that does not contain these special characters and it should work fine.

  • Special characters when binding with word

    Hello world

    I have a problem with my project I hope there is an easy solution.

    I create a pre-existing some word documents WebHelp project and I'm linking them so it can all be updated more easily.

    My problem is that when the files are imported html files are named after the section titles, some of which have special characters such as '-', and '& '. Once uploaded to the Web server, files with special characters do not work and if they are clicked on in the table of contents provide a wicked big error indicating that the file does not exist (it adds the ASCII number in the file name). Cannot change the configuration of the server, so I need to make sure that the files have not all characters like that in them.

    Once imported, I'm not able to change the file by right click on the page name and go to properties and removing characters.

    Is there a way I can easily solve this problem without changing the titles in the word files?

    See you soon,.

  • Set the format digital u32 when writing of TDMS files

    We use two meters of a PCI-6251, with two counters in the mode of angular position, to measure the angular positions of the two optical encoders 1000 per second for intervals of 10 to 20 hours.  We are writing to write files using PDM.  The files are very large, about 800 MB, but it is acceptable.  Convert us the TDMS files in .txt files, and then the data from .txt files are analyzed in Mathematica.

    My question is: How does one control the digital format of the data that is written in TDMS write?  At this moment we have two counters of the value of the product N = 10000 numbers U32 samples are then transmitted continuously to a TDMS file every 10 seconds.  The counters are using units of ticks (integers) and we would like to see whole in our data files.  We are convinced that the counters are producing U32 to the format number, since we see the correct U32 integers in the indicators on the front panel and we see labels on the value axis on our waveform graphs are integers, not real numbers.

    But it is also clear that Scripture TDMS puts double-precision (64-bit) numbers floating point in the PDM file, not numbers of U32.  The double-precision floating-point numbers cause our .txt files to be twice as big as they should be - these .txt files are half full with useless zeros and decimal points.  In addition, when you convert the U32 to double-precision real numbers, it seems to be a loss of precision as a result of writing of PDM, which is not acceptable.

    Our experience produces pairs of integers: U32 (or I32) format.  We could even get away with numbers I16.  Is it possible to get our data to stay in U32 (or same I16) format when they are written to the TDMS file?  What controls the digital numbers written to tdms?  Do all the numbers written in a PDM file end up being written as floating-point numbers double-precision?

    We use LabVIEW 8.2 on a PC running windows XP.

    If associate you TDMS write U32 data, data in the file will be U32. Floating-point conversion probably occurs when you read data from the file back. You can change this by plugging in a U32 empty table at the entrance of 'data type' reading PDM.

    You can check the data type in the file by examining the channel properties in the viewer of TDMS files. If NI_DataType is 7, given in the file are U32. If it is 10, data are floating point.

    Hope that helps,

    Herbert

  • Replacing special characters

    I have a page with a javascript tip which is fed with elements of a database query. Some of the results have special characters that my with the javascript syntax, in fact only 3 of them.

    Single quote, double quote and------.

    If I set & #34; in the database, it displays as a double in the ToolTip without problem, so what I want to do is to replace all occurrences of "with & #34;" and even with the others. The------should be replaced by------to view. I find it hard to do... any suggestions would be helpful... Here's my current attempt...

    < cfset temp = Replace (tester.loc_notes, ' "',' & #34;', 'ALL'") >

    If these quotes are displayed to the user, use " ", " or HTMLEditFormat().

    It is difficult to be more precise, unless you attach the code in question.

  • What happened to search for and replace special characters

    I'm a recent update of FrameMaker 9 FrameMaker 11. I use several notations with nonbreaking hyphens and nonbreaking spaces. In version 9, I was able to use the hexadecimal codes in the Find/Replace dialog box and search and replace these ratings. Now in version 11, it does not find these characters. I end up getting more I want.

    For example: I want to find

    (E Vote, September 12, 2008)

    This text has a non-breaking hyphen and showing spaces are nonbreaking. When I entered the document these characters, I used the combination of keys "Esc hyphen:" for the hyphen and "Ctrl + space" for spaces.

    When I enter "(E\x15Vote\x10Sept.\x1012,\x102008)" and press the button Search, FrameMaker converts the text to "(E\+Vote\s#Sept.\s#12,\s#2008)" and refers to a "Not Found" statement. I get the error even if I copy the text and paste it into the Find/Replace dialog box. I tried with "Deal", "use wildcards" and whole-word checks both market. I can't find it.

    Honestly, I never noticed if verstion 9A made the conversion of \x15 to------+ and dialog of \x10 to \s#, in the search/replace because he always found what I was looking for.

    I hope someone can tell me how to solve this problem, because it is a feature I use all the time in FrameMaker. I use hyphens and nonbreaking spaces everywhere in my documents.

    I also reported this as a bug because that's what happens if feels like to me. I went out and updated my installation of FrameMaker, thinking that this may have been reported and already corrected.

    A sad FrameMaker user

    Chris

    I'm not sure that's what you're looking for, but you might.

    Copy your text ' E-voting, September 12, 2008'.

    Go to Find/replace

    Select text and character Formats Clipboard from the drop-down

    Click on Search.

  • Error code 1 when writing to text file

    I have an error code 1 when I try to write to a text file in my application. Really, I don't understand and don't know how to solve this problem.

    If anyone can help me please fix this, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Do not close the file in the box 0.  It closes only after your while loop ends.  Keep your refnum file stored in a shift register.

    My guess is that you open the file outside the while loop and you pass in the refnum and use it in the box 0.  Then you close the file that kills the refnum.  Then, you open the file again (possibly automatically with read) then close that.  When you get to the enclosure 1, you use the same refnum you originally opened up to the outside, but that was closed and is now invalid.

  • extra line when writing to a file.

    Hi all

    When I try to write to a file from unix, I get an extra line. Could you please tell me how to remove this extra line?

    Dummy1 = "DUMMY_TEST."

    until the $DONE. do
    read online | = True

    echo "/" > > att3.txt
    chmod 777 att3.txt
    fact < "$file".

    But by the files of output is as below,

    exec apps.fnd_program.add_to_group (DUMMY_TEST, CUSTOM, DUMMY_REQ1, CUSTOM

    )

    /

    exec apps.fnd_program.add_to_group (DUMMY_TEST, CUSTOM, DUMMY_REQ3, accounts payable

    )

    /

    apps.fnd_program.add_to_group (DUMMY_TEST, CUSTOM, DUMMY_REQ4, claims exec

    )

    /

    exec apps.fnd_program.add_to_group (DUMMY_TEST, DUMMY_REQ2, CUSTOM, CUSTOM)

    /

    If you see only last line was printed correctly... rest the extra line was added...

    Any solution to this?

    There is no code included Oracle in it and so far, I know there is no space for unix in this fourms, its best to raise this issue in the form of Unix.

    A possible solution to your problem is with your text editor, this is the word wrapping mode.

    Try to see this file in other editors by turning off Word wrapping mode

  • CVI 2009 errors when writing of hidden file

    I recompiled a program in CVI2009 that was previously written in 9.0.  After doing so, the program will write is no longer in a text file and the value of the hidden attribute, CVI returns the error 'access denied '.  If I delete the hidden attribute the program works very well.  I forgot to put something or is it a matter of CVI 2009?

    I remember having the same problem in versions prior to 2009.

    Hidden attribute cache file from the search functions if this is how your code finds the file in text format.

    You can use the SetFileAttrs function to display the file temporarily and then you can hide it again, if necessary.

    Hope this helps,
