  Hi, I have installed Oracle 11 g XE and the need to declare UTL_FILE.

  When you run a package you get the error: PLS-00201: identifier 'UTL_FILE' must be declared.

  In different forums to refer both to create a SYS user and I use the command:

  Grant execute on UTL_FILE sys;

  The problem is that there is no SYS user in Oracle 11 g XE. There is only the SYSTEM user.

  When I connect as a system and apply order GRANT... and I get the error:

  ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

  How I UTL_FILE grant and report to Oracle 11 g XE?

  Of course UTL_FILE exists in Oracle 11 g XE. To grant access, you will need to connect as user SYS.

  Try "sqlplus / as sysdba" to the console of the server to connect as sys. Make sure you are in a group ORA_DBA OS (Windows) or the Group dba (Linux)

  We can get the exported file now. In IE 10, all results export are saved temporarily in the download options, press Ctrl + J (view downloads) and save the results and open it.

  To resolve the warning (REP-0004: WARNING: could not open the file of user preferences), copy the file prefs.ora to your report builder $ORACLE_HOME/tools/admin/directory in the directory $HOME of the Applications.

  Please do the above step after that, if you get an error, please paste the same thing here.

  There is no tool tightly coupled with jdev. Tool of oracles of choice would be BI Publisher (I guess). However, you can use the reports jasper or any other tool to report as well.

• not generating the trace for rdf report by oracle apps file

  in fact, we aim to generate trace file for reports and a convert to text file using tkprof by simultaneous program unix shell script submit using fnd_request.submit_request in another program of concurrent proceedings. but all the reports that are created by using pl/sql generates the trace file, but rdf report does not trace file.
  
  Report generator Oracle 6i is used
  
  Oracle application is 11i
  
  List of measures are being taken to get the trace file are
  1.SRW. USER_EXIT (' FND SRWINIT' "); before the release of report
  2SRW. USER_EXIT ("FND SRWEXIT'"); in after the report
  
  another of the measures which are followed
  SRW.do_sql ("alter session set SQL_TRACE = TRUE'"); before release of the report
  SRW.do_sql ("alter session set SQL_TRACE = FALSE'"); in after the report
  
  above, said steps are done, but still it does not arouse any trace file
  
  same oracle_process is null
  
  Select oracle_process_id from the fnd_concurrent_requests where request_id
  
  ID processOracle for this report oracle rdf file is not generated.

  I am a complete newbie with Oracle Application Server (OAS) and Oracle reports. My task is to generate HTML and PDF using OAS reports. The current application has an aspx (ASP.NET front end) pages that call third party fast Radar report tool that retrieves data according to the need of the user (such as month, day, year,... product name) and displays as a grid. I have to remove the FastRadar part and use the OAS OracleAS reports Services components to generate these reports

  IAM trying to compose a report menu forms (Oracle 10 g) using web.show_document. Since Iam calling the report directly from menu shapes, I used web.show_document without run_report_object.

  If you need to appear as a list, the parameter values, you must make sure that for this parameter, you go to the list of values and the list to restrict to the predetermined values checkbox.
