  I have 6 scripts (written by Luke and Robert) who are used to extract information of the box of ESX as shown below. I want to combine the scripts into a single and output in excel. I have a csv file with names of servers esx in it. The combined script should take the entry of the name of the csv esx server and run these scripts and export information to an excel spreadsheet. I need a workbook with each server esx excel as a table in it.

  ESX - report.ps1-> extract info from esx host

  VM - report.ps1-> extract info VM

  Teddy - report.ps1-> extract info ESX physical network adapter

  PortGroup - report.ps1-> extract portgroup info

  scsiHBA - report.ps1-> extract info SCSI & HBA

  Report.ps1-> info report data store retrieves data store

  Firewall - report.ps1-> need to be written (gave joint excel spreadsheet format)

  Time servers - report.ps1-> need to be written (gave joint excel spreadsheet format)

  DNSserver - report.ps1-> need to be written (gave joint excel spreadsheet format)

  I have attached the format of the expected output excel workbook and scripts.

  There was a bug in the script, the Get-View in the teddy bear (report 3) and the portgroup (report 4) not took into account that the mode of VIServer ran in "multi".

  Which should be fixed in the new version attached.

  The new version also includes the name of ESX for the reports, 7, 8 and 9.

  The customer asks to add a column and change the output to Excel format (using the XML publish) the standard report "AR: Journal Entries Report" whish is generated...
  I know that the report calls another report called "Journal entries report - out" with a few parameters one of them is "P_LAYOUT_DESCRIPTION" which may be 1 of these values
  Print account details, print details by category, print summary by account, print the summary by category
  and each of them has a different layout
  
  Now, I want to know
  1 - the ability to add a column to this report (SPAWNED)
  2 - the ability to translate the output as EXCEL, PDF, RTF (using XML Publisher)
  I know that the steps of how convert a XML report using the definition of data and model, but the program laid 'Journal Entries report - Output' calls specific parameters and does not mention the name of the template that will be used or the type of the output model
  as if I'm going to create 4 models for each presentation how to let the main report called the output report, which gives the correct model to be displayed

  You can try the steps below to get the link "export."

  * Assuming that your report is on the dashboard and you have your 'Download' link activated on the report.
  * Right click on the dashboard and the 'View Source' option allows you to view the source code.
  * Do a search for "download to Excel". Once located, copy the contents of the onclick (corresponding to its hyperlink tag) to a notebook. OnClick content might look something like below.

  * Now put a "text object" on the dashboard above the report, open properties, check the option 'Contains the HTML markup' and put the code as shown below:

  * Now, you will see a link named Export. Click on the link to check if you get the desired result.

  I tried this on 10g with a single report on dashboard.

• Report - error in Excel-sheet Manager

  I have a report FSG and want to work with Report Manager to create reports Excel of it.
  
  This works very well for pdf and html, but Excel sheets gives a Macro-erreur: "compile error: a variable is not set.
  It refers to a variable Sheet1, which is (probably) not there since my client works in Dutch, and the leaves are called Blad1 etc.
  
  Can it be solved without having to work with the English version Excel?

  Otherwise, I have to write 3 models and define 3 layouts to show in three reports instead of tabs.

  I'm working on the output PO for Communication report purchase R12. I have to add a custom report template. To do this, I followed the steps below...
  
  
  (1) download the xml data file Standard to set data Source Data Standard purchase order (PO_STANDARD_PO.xml)
  (2) model rtf created, based on the data in the xml file that I had taken the definition of data
  3) has created a custom template for the definition of standard data with this provision of the rtf.
  
  (4) makes configuration changes in the tab control purchase and the purchase of Options of Types of documents.
  
  In the setup of purchase Super User RESP, I did the below configurations
  
  (a) organizations-> Purchasing Options - > output Format to the Document Format in the tab control in PDF format
  (b) procurement-> Types of documents--> and given of my custom here layout
  
  When I run this report ended with error as Exceptionjava.lang.Exception: error during PDF generation: null
  
  
  Please me advice how to proceed further or have you missed all the other things

  I use APEX 3.2, I have a requirement to generate a report that can be saved as excel sheet. How can I do? I see no possibility to register as 'excellent' in interactive reports.

  In an interactive report you can 'download' the report in CSV. And since a csv document is usually open with excel that should be all that is needed.

  The CSV option must be enabled on the Section "Report Attrributes" "Download".

• ORS XML 7.0 report output defaults to RTF format

  Someone had this problem? After you apply the Patching, the default output for XML reports 7.0 RUP is RTF. This must be the changes manually before you run the report in PDF format, to view the report in PDF Format. Suggestions how this default to PDF?

  Hi Tyler, you can go to the definition of the report template and click on "Update" and then change the default output to PDF and save it. It is a new feature of ORS 7.0.

  I do not know what operating system the customer is working on an example for XP

  Open Control Panel
  Open the Options folder
  Click File Types
  Search for "Microsoft Excel XLS spreadsheet"
  Click the Advanced button.
  Highlight the default action (often open), which is in bold.
  Check the box that says "Confirm open after download" and if "Go in the same window" is checked, uncheck it.
  Click Ok.

  This would stop excel open in the browser and a download prompt appears.
