Reproducible PNG except accident (CS2)
PhotoShop fails to save the PNG image - subsequent attempts to save write files of 0 bytes without error message. It has been reproduced on two independent machines up to now (it was reported to me by a friend, I tried his image, confirmed, then tried to reach a minimal reproduction.) It's pretty simple - create an empty image, 8-bit indexed color or grayscale at 800 x 992 pixels, then save in non interlaced PNG.
I would be interested to know if it happens again for someone else (or if there is a known solution, I saw one when I searched).
Steps to reproduce:
-Launch PhotoShop (CS2 version 9.0.2 here)
-File-> new
-Set a resolution of 800 x 992 (which seems to matter!)
ColorMode - levels of gray (can do it now, or load or convert any image into grayscale or 256 colors to exactly 800 x 992 pixel canvas size)
-Press OK
-File-> save as...
-Select the type PNG (any file name)
-Click Save
-Select None for interlaced (not to plant the interlaced mode)
-Click Ok
-Get "cannot save it as [file] because of a program error. (As a secondary bug, if the file name is long enough this message is cut.)
-Any other attempt to save the PNG results in a file of size zero, no error message.
The simple solution is to be recorded as interlaced, but it is still pretty bad because it impedes the program until that restart you it.
A monitor debug shows dereferencing of a bad pointer about the PNG plugin:

What happens if you try to save on an external storage device or even another hard drive in your computer? The error does not appear reffer photoshop itself, but the error code seem to have very little about them. One that I didn't know:
"Error 0xC0000005 is generated by an illegal"memory access violation". This can result from what it's faulty RAM, a device driver corrupted/incorrect, poorly written/updated software and more commonly under Windows XP Service pack 2, malware/adware software installations. »
Analyze your computer using Spybot and anti-virus if I were you.

How can I stop the rectangle borders to cut?
I have a rectanlgle of the same size as the artboard. I added a border of 2px around the rectangle. It is centered vertically and horizontally to the artboard. When I save it as a PNG (except for the web) the border gets cut.
How can I avoid this?
I use illustrator CC (64)
But make sure that use Preview Bounds is checked in the preferences.

You can convert a folio created with jpg to PDF format?
I want to see pinch and zoom in on some of the pages and it seems that I can't mix the statutes of pdf with png except if 'automatic' knows the difference.
You have to re-create the articles as a PDF. There is no way to change the format of an article having been created in a folio. You can, however, have a mixture of articles PDF and PNG/JPEG of the same Folio.

Can't get the upgrade to Illustrator CS4 to work with Freehand.
There is no option for the upgrade of everything except CS, CS2, CS3. Adobe Announces Illustrator CS4 can be upgraded from Freehand MX, 10, 9, but fail to offer an option to enter a number on the fly during installation.
Is there a solution to this Adobe screw-up?
On Amazon.com, search for "Adobe Illustrator CS4 Upsell from Freehand drawing".
I don't know what is the exchange of Amazon policy. Maybe they'll let change you for the 'Upsell' version
The Adobe Store site that sells the download of the upgrade version requires clearly as the buyer to "choose a version.
If I were you I contact Adobe Customer Service and see what your options are. Here is their return policy.

CANNOT IMPORT PNG FILE IN VERSION 9 OF PHOTOSHOP CS2
When I try to import a .png file in PS, I get the message: "Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse the file."
Is it possible to import the .png files in PS CS2?
And otherwise: I studied him "lossless bmp" and I can't get a definitive answer on the question of whether the .bmp files are lossless. Can anyone confirm that they are lossless? In this case I could use instead of .png to import .bmp files to Psalm
Looks like it's the question photoshop cs2 is having to open the images if you have changed the jpeg to png file extension.
Change the file extension does not change the file type.
In other words even if the extension is .png, it's always a jpeg file.
If you come to use Save Image as in firefox and use the jpeg by default as it suggests, your jpeg download, not re-register and recompression, AFAIK.
Then, you can open the JPEG in photoshop cs2 and save it as png or psd without doing further damage to the file.

After this error message have been updated display drivers. Old adobe catalogs have been renamed as old. Adobe has started running. There appeared to be no more problems. I restarted my computer. The computer would not restart. The error message there was something missing as NR... I don't remember everything that was missing. I removed the portable drives then the computer restarted. Now Adobe software crashes again when I run in my catalog. It seems adobe falls down when the catalog contains videos. I checked the drivers and they appear all updates. Any ideas? I noticed an update in January to managers for ntdll.dll by windows when I checked the windows updates to find changes.

l work in Photoshop pencil and pen drawing of mine sweeping in the computer to convert them to digital files. I save as a bitmap black and white clipart as Formate file extension .png. My problem I noticed is when I go to import to tell Indesign which, on the right side of art, work is a continuous line. I can go back to Photoshop and the spectacle of clip art that there is nothing there. I tried to copy and past and save as a new file name and still appear when I import clip in another program. My question is what this causes some clipart that I work in and some that I do is not the solid black line? Can help me here I am puzzled why it appear after you save the file and import clip in anorther program. I'm trying to set up a book clip art for my older sister of all my scribbling because she was missing and so went back to my art book and paper than o doodled on and all scanned
in and want to ensure own clipart and be displayed with this line on the side of them. Thank you for your time, I appreciate all the help I can get. Larry White

Who likes a challenge? . Transparent PNG files except when place on black
Hello
So, I have an interesting problem with InDesign CS6 here at work. I use several PNG files with transparent background in my document. When they are placed above any element that is not black, printing fine with a transparent background. However, when I use the same files and place them on an element that is black, something weird is happening. PNG files are displayed correctly on the screen of the computer, but when I print my InDesign document (either directly or by exporting it as a pdf and then print the pdf file), they get printed with a rectangle in the background shape with a fill color that is a different shade of black as the element behind it. In other words, my png graphics seem to lose their transparent backgrounds only when the color behind them is black. It looks pretty bad (non-professional). First of all, I thought it was a problem with my color management settings. However, a professional friend to a publishing company printed the InDesign document and had the same problem. At work, we have a lot of these PNG files and I don't want to really pass the time by converting all to PSD or transparent TIFF, I don't have to. Any ideas/suggestions as to what could be the cause? Thank you!
Try to make a whole raster flattening preset like this:
Then use it in your print dialog box Advanced tab:

Jpg png are exported except some items...
Hello everyone, I have a problem on the export of bitmap on illustrator cc images.
These are original works,
Here are the exported images.
some text objects have disappeared... I changed the opacity, mixing effect, police... but this isn't work.
but there is no problem when I saved in PDF format.
do you have experiences with this problem?
Thanks for any help
Select the objects and then in the attributes Panel uncheck the overprint settings.

Thanks to you all. My designer solved the problem. The image was white in the file that made it impossible to make it transparent.

The difficulty to save images with CS2 since the upgrade to Windows 10.
Working in CS2 is substantially the same, but when I go to save my work as a .png as usual, the colors are shifted (looks a little more green, more precisely). Same thing happens with .jpgs. I'm not saving for the web, just do the same things, I'm always done before with the same color except all of a sudden, the colors, the profiles are saving all wobbly. Open one of these files in photoshop displays the correct colors, but sends the file or open it in the green version Windows Photo Viewer. What has changed?
This is a screenshot showing the difference. Left is open in photoshop, the right is open in Photo Viewer (and is the same color as the image I sent via Skype to someone, proving that it is not just me).
There's a utlity calibration that comes with CS2. He called Adobe Gamma. Have you tried to run and make a fresh profile?
I start with an sRGB profile and when you are finished, I add the date to the it.
Then in Windows Color Management settings, not the default monitor profile. Gamma is still 2.2, point white is D6500
See if you get results.that best way.

I have a constant and reproducible - crash InDesign CC 2014 - Mac OS - Mavericks
Hi all. I installed the trial of 30 days of Indesign CC 2014. I have a reproducible crash that I can't escape.
Sometimes when I create a text box, or just select the text tool, create a box, and start typing. It all works very well. The incident occurs if I click in the box and try to move it. It crashes every time, without fail. This does not happen if I use the arrows to move the frame. Only when I click in the box and try to move it with the mouse. It's maddening!
I deleted all preferences, as well as caches of InDesign, etc. in ~ library (by another recommendation) that did not help.
Here is the crash log... Help, please!

In the future, please put on pastebin.com incident reports and provide a link...
I don't recognize the signature of the accident, but it's not a bug - it's something to do with your particular configuration. Do you have a font manager? Utilities running in the background?

Note the "Code Type: PPC (translated).
CS2 was written for PPC Macs and is emulated on Intel Macs. Emulation can be messy. CS2 may work but nothing is guaranteed.
Your ideal would be to upgrade Photoshop to a modern version of Intel (anything after CS2). The cost of the educational site license will be significantly lower than the cost of support in trying to maintain the old software on new hardware.

Why isn't the exception, I add when I get this connection is untrusted error work?
I recently started getting "this connection is Untrusted' errors every time I connect to google." Although there is a response describing the problem, I have the solution DOES NOT WORK. Not at all. I added google as an exception, many times, but I still get the same error. Since it doesn't seem to be what I can do in the settings options to confirm that I have indeed added it completely, I want to know why I still keep getting this message despite having already added the site to my exceptions?
Since you are using Kaspersky, could test you with the disabled HTTPS connection filtering if Kaspersky is the culprit? This should be in the application Kaspersky itself, not in the Firefox Add-ons:
Settings > others > network
Uncheck the box for "numerical analysis of connections.
