Have you used safe mode?
You cannot delete or rename the file in normal mode.
I'm guessing that these files are used, and they could be the ones causing the problem.

    Hi Fred,.

To read the file CBS, the simplest method is to copy to another destination. Windows 'locks' the file as any event that must be written to the file CBS is done so during the normal process of Windows and if you play the file, it could cause a conflict. After copying the file to another location, it will open without any other change to the authorisation.

  • 80244018 while searching for updates with Windows Update

I'm working on Vista Home Premium SP2 Polish version.
Lately, I noticed that I am not in my Windows Update system update. I've been unable to update my Windows Defender definitions. I was meeting a mistake and info on aid offers me to erase temporary files folders. I did exactly as he wrote it. But it did not work. Instead, now I can't even check updates, because when I stopped to do so, error 80244018 appears. A few days ago, everything was ok. I even tried to "restore system" (I don't know how it is in English - the system option it comes down to the previously written statement) - without help, cause the oldest back point I had was 8 months ago - and yet, the problem occurred.

And besides - I do not know how and why (I noticed after awhile, and other people were using my computer) my catalog of Program Files default changed from system disk c: d: disk, I mean, whenever I have install something that installs Program Files, it wants to install it on d: how to return to c :?

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) otherwise and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

NB: No matter what Norton or McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free and download/run the removal tool before installing updates, Windows Service Packs, or updates IE and before installing your new anti-virus application (which will require WinXP SP3 must be installed).

    On others using your computer:

    1. you should have your own password protected user account that nobody else uses. Your account may have administrator privileges.

    2. the other members of the family should have their own, protected by password account user without administrator privileges.

    3. anyone else using your computer must use a specially created with minimal privileges guest account.

    4. I strongly recommend installing & using Windows SteadyState on your computer to avoid such problems in the future.

  • Cannot install Windows Easy Transfer for update to Windows 7

I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit sp2 and upgrade to Windows 7 Pro. I know I need everything back up, install 7 and then restore my data and programs. When I install Windows Easy Transfer, it downloads very well, then on run I get 'Stand Alone Windows Update installation', then "Looks For Updates" and then "update applies to my system" and nothing, fact. I made sure I download the Easy Transfer for Vista 64 bit, but I'm stumped. Any ideas?

    Hello

Windows Easy Transfer is an integrated application available on all editions of Windows Vista or Windows 7. It is not necessary to download explicitly on the Vista computer.

To access Windows Easy Transfer, try the following steps.
    1. click on start, type Windows Easy Transfer and click transfer files from Windows in the list.
    2. follow the instructions in the wizard and complete the tasks successfully.

  • updates of Windows crashing my IE

    Hello

I don't know what version of windows I use (how say you?). I think that probably Windows 8

Recently, when my windows is updated (an update I did not and probably don't want or need), it causes Internet Explorer stops working (display message "this page cannot be displayed").

I get in (a) by unscrewing the update (b) do not turn off my PC where it is updated while I am not around it.

It works somehow, but can anyone suggest a better solution?

    Thank you very much

    David

    Hi David,

I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

    1. Do you remember what KB Windows update is causing the problem?
    2. Which antivirus program is installed on the computer?
    3. All of the Windows updated is installed successfully?
    4. You get the error message?

You may experience this problem if Windows update is not installed correctly. Lets follow the troubleshooting steps in this link and check if:

What to do if Internet Explorer does not work

Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings.

  • Legitimacy of the request for update

Want to know how can I determine which update of Mozilla applications are legitimate. The following request and was not sure:

Do you find this alert to chance or only when you visit some Web sites?

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

  • Request for update of Lenovo Yoga 460 SCCM driver package

    Hello.

Because I can't post in the forum of business solutions, I'll post my request here.

Yoga 460 was not released for several months, and now, virtually all drivers have been updated, and it is normal for a new model.

What bothers me is that I need to run the system on brand new laptop computer update installed by SCCM, since it was not a new package SCCM published since the original, which fixes several important issues.

Therefore, I ask that Lenovo is launching a new SCCM package with all latest updates.

    Thank you!

Well it came out in record time. Thanks for posting the new update package today!

  • 'main' arguments when starting program - how does communicate requests for file to Windows programs?

Someone know what Windows up or sends to a program when it is first started? I don't know yet what to look under. In particular, if I double click on a document (say a data file that I generated with my LabWindows/CVI program) and I have my default program for this file under Windows, how is my program knows it when it starts? (I.e. a double-click on a Word document starts Word and opens this document.) In addition, what happens if my program is already running? No doubt, Windows sends a message to the programs telling them that the user has requested to open a file of the appropriate type.

Windows passes the name of the file you clicked on the application as a command line parameter: the attached program lists simply all the command line arguments received in order to check how it works. I did a few tests by creating a '. '. XYZ"file and then associate this program with it. Then, I created a new operation 'Print', defined in this way:

and received the correct settings, I simply double click on the file and when I click right on it and choose 'print '.

(Note: argv [0] is always the name of the program itself: command line options, if any, starts at index 1).

I can't say anything about your second question: I know that the CVI has a way to see if another instance of the application is running (see the CheckForDuplicateAppInstance command in the utility library), but I don't know how it is implemented.

It seems that you have a patch that is corrupted and it keeps trying to update each time. I suggest that you can back UP all your data. Here are some things you can try CHECKDISK, SFC SCAN and ChEKSUR.
