Resale of Dell outlet products

Hi all

I wonder if Dell had restrictions or policies on individuals, resale of equipment such as laptops and desktop computers purchased through Dell outlet?

Hi Houmy,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding individuals to resell the products purchased through the Dell Outlet.

I checked with the release of Dell on your behalf and they indicated that individuals must sign a contract with us that provides the conditions. They can sell on sites auction like Ebay, but only at a fixed price not a sale at auction. They cannot sell to end users in the United States, etc. If you have any additional questions, please email [email protected].

Thank you
Lorna

  • Can I use Dell original product key to activate a clean Windows installation after I have replace/upgrade motherboard, processor and other key components?

I have a Dell computer, with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed in the factory. There is a product code for windows on the sticker on the box. My problem is that the motherboard and CPU are released. I intend to replace and update the motherboard failed and cpu, ram, power supply, optical drive and eventually put in a larger hard drive. From what I read, I can not simply start the machine with the original hard drive, with windows already installed and activated. So if I wipe the hard drive (or put it in a new), can I clean install Windows 7 and then just use the product key on the sticker on the box to activate the new installation? Or what I need to buy a new copy of Windows 7?

I've also read on other threads, that you can "transfer" a license of Windows 7 on a different machine only if it is a "commercial" version, not OEM. If the version of Windows that is preinstalled on a Dell computer would be "retail" or "OEM"? And to reactivate the software on a rebuilt/updated machine up-to-date with the new motherboard, etc. would constitute a 'transfer to a new machine' or reactivation just on a computer upgraded?

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

  • Dell Outlet Scratch & Dent mean actually?

Don't crucify me, this is my first post and I hope an honest answer. If this has been asked a million times, well remember the first time you've posted and relax. I ordered a Dell unplug computer this weekend. On the site, there are several options, Scratch & tooth, certified refurbished and Dell taken again. I chose Scratch & tooth go to nowadays, the computer comes up with a big label green on your stay refurbished. The customer support (3rd world) told me that's how it always is. What gives?

I admit it is confusing. All the decision-making of Dell's refurbished. This is a legal notice that Dell must put on the box, because the product is sold.

New output = sealed products that have been either cancelled or unopened returns at the factory. New products taken have not cosmetic defects.

Given to nine certified = previously opened/used products returned to Dell. They are tested and then resold. Product may have some cosmetic defects that do not affect the performance.

Scratch & tooth certified product = re-machined who have considerable aesthetic imperfections that do not affect the performance.

I want to buy the last Windows 7 laptop produced by Dell.  Is it the Inspirion or what model and number etc. should I seek to buy?  I don't want Windows 8.  I buy for my elderly mother and don't have much on this subject, all mail and the internet.  It has no wifi.

You can always get the class business Latitude E-series such as E5440 and E6440 with Windows 7.

  • How can Amazon sell a dell Dell product will not sell no-frustrating

I am buying a 27 "touchscreen.  Dell web site has only 22 and 23 "touchscreen monitors.  On Amazon, they list two 27 '' touch screen monitors - 2714T and P2714T.  Reference Dell India insists on the fact that they do not yet exist in a search on Dell.com shows they have drivers, FAQ, manuals, troubleshooting etc..  What gives?  When I asked to degenerate they about me with technical support.  If I can't find someone who can help me I go with Acer

To clarify, there is only the P2714T. There is no a 2714 t. So Amazon just listed incorrectly. You are right, I don't see the P2714T on the United States, the United Kingdom retail sites, and I don't see it on the Dell Outlet site. It is possible that Amazon has bought several hundred and have them in their warehouses.

  • Windows XP Setup will not accept my product key

I am re-installing ona XP laptop, but the installation of Windows XP will not accept my product key. I have an OEM of a Dell PC product key that is no longer functional, and a update product key which is not null else, neither of which works.

I can't even do the installation to achieve the activation step.

    Link to the entire conversation:

    Huh?
    • You have a Dell system, and with this Dell, you have a product key for Windows XP (edition?) - it would be an OEM key be used with an OEM installation CD.
    • You seemed to have bought (where?) a copy of "Retail" / license for Windows XP (edition?) - which would have its own retail product key to be used with a retail installation CD.
    What does not work:
    • using the CD to retail with the product key OEM on Dell machine sticker
    • by using the product key from retail with OEM installation media which might come with the Dell printer
    • have an installation CD OEM with an edition of Windows XP (Home and Professional vs Media Center 2002 vs Media Center 2005, etc.) and you try to use the product key OEM for another edition of Windows XP (Home and Professional vs Media Center 2002 vs Media Center 2005, etc) (editions must match, House can is complicated in this grouping too.)
    • have an installation CD retail with an edition of Windows XP (Home and Professional vs Media Center 2002 vs Media Center 2005, etc.) and you try to use the product key from retail sales to another edition of Windows XP (Home and Professional vs Media Center 2002 vs Media Center 2005, etc) (editions must match, House can is complicated in this grouping too.)
So is that what you are trying to do?  Why did you buy the CD/product key for sale at retail and the editions correspond?

If you're not at the point where you will have to enter the product key - why do you think that the product key is the question? Hah

    Try:

    1. pair an inexpensive connection of headphones in the speaker of your DELL outlet and see if the problem improves.
    2. connect your Dell speakers to another compatible audio device to verify that the speakers are not defective.

    Hello

Call Dell and ask for a replacement recovery disc.

They must, if they still do this for a small fee.

The relocation method above does not normally allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

  • Dell XPS 8500 needs new motherboard; All recoverable parts?

Okay, it looks like my Dell XPS 8500 which is only 2.3 years needs a new motherboard.  I was quoted $350 to fix it (90 day warranty) by Dell.  I asked Dell how much it would cost to return the warranty once I fixed it and it is $ 200 per year.  Not sure I'll go along with this.  A local technician gave me his estimate and it's $250 parts and service which includes 90 day warranty.

Rather than take the option repair, I think to recover the coins for my next computer purchase.  My XPS 8500 has 12 GB ddr3 sdram [1, 600 mhz (2 gb x 2) + (4 x 2 GB)] and a 2 TB hard drive and the hard disk of 1 TB (from 8000 of my XPS Studio who died after 2.5 years).  All other recoverable parts here?

All models Dell that are compatible with the latter?  8000/8500 are no longer sold.  Dell sells XPS 8900 8900 SE using DDR4 Rams.  I don't know the compatibility of the hard drive.  Dell Outlet still sells XPS 8700 expandable up to 10 windows, which uses ddr3 chips and is is compatible with the hard disk probably.

Should not be XPS.  Actually, I prefer not to buy another XPS because I had this terrible luck with them.  I think maybe like OptiPlex business models which can have options of compatible extension of hard drive and RAM.  Anyone direct me to the configurations of these models?  Thank you.

Some confusion here. There is none of these models as Studio XPS 8500. Amazon is the inscription incorrectly. There's a XPS 8500.
The 8500 XPS and Vostro 470 use same motherboards =.
    XT4TM = card mother NW73C, DPK for Windows 7
TXKR9 = card mother NW73C, DPK for Windows 8 home
CTJCD = card mother NW73C, DPK for Windows 8 Pro

  • Windows says dell somehow prevents me to save my copy of windows after a reinstall

My hard drive died so I reinstalled my copy of windows 7 64-bit edition Home premium, but I can't seem to register even though I'm pretty sure that the code. (The laptop is more than 3 years old and the sticker has rubbed off a bit)

I talked to windows, and they said that if it was a problem with the code then Dell would have a copy associated with my hardware because it is preinstalled.

I talked to dell, but don't talk to me because my warranty missed a long time ago.

Then I spoke to windows again and gave them control of my computer, they searched and tried various things that I fear, I did not understand and then told me that Dell had blocked somehow my registration.

I don't understand how that could be, but windows support told me I need dell to unblock me.

can someone please help me understand what is happening?

This common problem where clients are stuck between Dell and Microsoft and the OEM-Microsoft-client blame triangle.

Dell Windows 7 presets and reinstallation DVD using System Locked Preinstallation where a generic product key is entered automatically and activation occurs if and only if a valid Dell BIOS is detected while Dell doesn't really care the key on the certificate of authenticity. They don't have any connected input of it and neither did Microsoft (who provided these low quality stickers causing the situation that you are to Dell).

There are a few cases where this activation does not go with these media and you are made to be able to enter your COA key and activate it (which you can't). You will also get this problem if you try to clean install your OEM license using retail media like Digital River installation media.

Assuming you've been reinstall Windows 7 using a .iso of Digital River, complete the installation by jumping the product key. You can then restore Dell SLP Product activation by using Activation backup and recovery and Dell program files:
