S2340M missing power adapter, Dell Outlet purchase

I ordered as a monitor Dell of S2340M of Dell taking 8 months fair and recently there was time to connect to my computer. I discovered that the monitor has come only with the supply cable and not the AC adapter. I don't have the original packaging left, but I put in a request for a copy of my delivery, and I still have my order confirmation emails. Is there a way I can get a card replacement, or at the very least, order a new one from Dell?

  • Unable to determine the type of AC power adapter. Dell Inspiron 1545.

    Hi all

Just recently I started receiving the error message bad "cannot determine the type of AC power adapter. Your system will run more slowly and the battery won't charge. "Please connect a Dell 65W adapter or higher for a better functioning of the system.

I've had my dell inspiron 1545 since 2009. I had to replace my battery once because I kept getting an error message. The error message above, I have been doing hard for about a week now. I had read that push the cord into the laptop could work. I know it sounds stupid, but I actually tried and for some time the adapter started to charge my battery again. But whenever I turn off my laptop I have to re connect the adapter because I get this error again. About 2 days ago, I tried my usual method of shoving the cord, but now the method does not work and my battery fell to 18%. I must say that I always keep my plugged power cord because my battery never lasted more than an hour before.  It seems that my card still works when I plug it into the wall of blue light still appears. When I plug it into the laptop computer, the icon appears that it is plugged in and the display becomes brighter. I am also able to remove my battery and work on my laptop as long as the AC adapter is plugged. I'm really afraid that this problem is related to the motherboard.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

First thing to try is a new Dell AC adapter - if this doesn't fix the problem, replace the power supply (see link below).  And in the unlikely event, he is not taking or adapter, the motherboard needs to be replaced.

  • Dell place 11 pro power adapter problem

I have two power adapters replaced already. Power up cold start, it displays a message: "warning!" A power 3W AC adapter has been detected, is less than the recommended Latitude xx 23W adapter originally shipped. This will increase the time to charge the battery... "We told only load to the top of the Tablet and then unplug the charger. If the charger is plugged into the Tablet permanently charger will be damaged as indicated above. It seems that it is quite annoying to have to remember to unplug the charger when the Tablet is fully charged. Does anyone have a similar experience?

The message of 3watts means that your power adapter swacked, probably due to a short circuit in the USB cable.   To find out, unplug the adapter from the wall and the tablet.   Plug it into the wall, then the tablet.  Put the Tablet and see if you still get the same error.  If so, you must replace the adapter and cable.   If no error, you need to replace the cable.   If this continues with a cable new, you may have damage to the internal microphone USB connector in the tablet.

Leaving the adaptor plugged into the Tablet, after that the battery is fully charged is quite well and will cause no problem.   The Tablet and the battery are smart enough to stop loading once 100%.

  • No way to prevent "the AC power adapter type cannot be determined" message on XPS M1710? (AC adapter is properly plugged)

Often, I get the following message between the screens "Dell" and "Windows", when that I start my XPS M1710 when plugged:

Unable to determine the type of AC power adapter.  The system can start only with a 130 W power adapter or more.  Hit the F1 key to shutdown.  To resolve this problem, try to reconnect the AC adapter.

This message occurs when the AC adapter is inserted correctly and completely, and that's the Dell adapter supplied with my notebook.  Is there anything I can do (possibly a registry hack) to force the computer to start instead of this message?  Once it gives me this message and I have to press F1 to close it, it takes an extremely long time to go to the "Dell" screen on the chest which follows (1 minute or two).  My battery hold so little cost when that happens, I turn on the laptop when it is plugged in, unplug it when the "Dell" on-screen progress bar finishes, then plug it back when the 'Windows' screen is displayed.

It is an old laptop and I will soon receive a new, so I won't spend the money to buy a new AC adapter and the battery for XPS M1710, but I'd like to solve this problem, if it can be done otherwise.

    Thank you!

I used to have this problem until it has just stopped working. Fact of the matter is Dell power supplies are designed for out of normal use. The cable for the tiny pin in the middle is broken inside the brick and was not fixed easily (you'd have to bust open the brick). Horrible design and this officially marks the last machine from Dell, I will never buy. With a registry hack that prevents the audit (ensuring the adapter you are using is Dell to make them more money), adapter is perfectly capable. I have an adapter 130W (XPS L1502X) and because of this my brother (Studio... not sure of the model). Mine came with the laptop at the time of purchase and the power adapter may not be recognized by me or my brothers laptop computer. Now my computer recognizes the cable my brother, but here's the catch: its cable is less common that mine and this can cause serious damage to my machine. When Dell said that it is a "security feature", it is so full of Bull. If that were the case, it would not allow that my brothers cable to go into my machine. Nice one Dell, you have lost a customer and I will make sure that everyone that I go looking for a new laptop does not buy your trash.

I'm currently waiting on a replacement power brick that I ordered on ebay, so I can charge my laptop once again. Dell will charge you $ 70-80 to do this on eBay it's around $ 30-40 - all avoiding the retail margin.

I do not throw accusations at Dell for the design of the brick to fail, I'm going off the coast of many positions of electrical engineers who have experienced the same frustrations and have taken it upon themselves to expose this type of scam.

  • A Magsafe 85w power adapter would be detrimental to my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2010)

    Hi all!

    I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2010, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo).

Well, after years of abuse, the thinner rope (which connects to the Macbook) began to tear. I tried to drag an above shrink wrap to fix and make it last a little longer, but now I find myself stirring the rope around so he can start loading.

in any case, I found a company after-market on Amazon called Supsun making (link below) and recently purchased a. He said that going to work with my Macbook, but I think not even check what power mine use and after he woke up, I found out mine originally a 60w.

Will this hurt Magsafe Supsun 85w power adapter my mid 2010 13-inch Macbook in anyway?

I thank you for all your comments!

  • Defective power adapter?

I've had my laptop for a year or so now, working fine until recently. I noticed that my adapter has begun to make a sort of pulsating squeal noise, now it does not power the laptop at all, no lights, nothing. All I get is an annoying squeal.

I unplugged the laptop to see if it was the power adapter or the laptop and he continued to scream so I can exclude the laptop. Is this to say that I need a new adapter or could the card be defective? I tried different outlets with the same result.

Has anyone else had these issues?
    Any help is appreciated,

    See you soon

Maybe the power adapter is dead and you need a new.
But understand that it very difficult to tell exactly what evil without any control of the laptop
In any case try to plug a compatible AC adapter and check if the laptop turns on.

    Good luck

  • iPhone not charging when connected to the USB power adapter

Hello. I have a 5 s iPhone that I bought used a few months ago. It works very well.

Normally I charge it by connecting it to my Mac via a USB cable. Last night, I tried to recharge by connecting Apple USB power (also called a power outlet) adapter, which plugs into the wall, supplied with the phone. (Here's a link to the adapter if you are not sure what I'm talking about:.) When I connect the iPhone to the power adapter, I saw that the phone is charging - there was the small icon representing a lightning bolt near the battery of the iPhone.

However, when I woke up in the morning, the iPhone has been charged only 47%. I don't remember what the percentage was when I plugged into the power supply last night, but I don't think that the phone at that time was much less.

So I wonder: nobody knows what went wrong? Is there a way to make sure that the phone is loaded with the adapter?

    Thank you!

    M

If there is a symbol of bolt of lightning next to the battery icon, then the phone should be in charge.  If it is charging a single source, but not another, then the problem is with the unpaid source.  Try another adapter to confirm.

    Hello.

Surfing on the Apple Online Store, I saw the "power adapter cable extension.

    Thank you

is this the same power cord included in the iMac product?

No it's a specific connector for a MacBook power adapter

I can use it as a normal power cord instead of the original?

No, it is used to connect to a MacBook power adapter, into a socket with a cable

connected directly to the wall outlet:

  • Power adapter - HP PAVILION DV7-3150EQ

    Hello

I bought the HP PAVILION DV7-3150EQ, and it stops itself almost instantly after the initialization of the operating system (just at the moment where the HP Setup programs starts). I have two suggestions for this topic:

    1. the CPU heats too quickly and the protection of the motherboard turns on and off the computer.

2 in the specification of the product, I noticed the power adapter must have 120 W power (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01997646), but I received with adapter 90 W (adapter fault current may have been replaced by the Distributor, I don't know), and what I think, is that it does not provide the computer with enough power so it shuts down. What I mean, is there a strict rule on food and their use adapters (specified model should be used with the adapter specified etc..)

Can you guide me I just think, or there might be another problem.

I was looking for an explanation on the closure and the motherboard overheating protection seemed reasonable to me. I was wondering is this a common problem or I am luck one of perhaps hundreds of thousands made notebooks with Core i-5?

I removed the battery and left it on the power adapter, but it's the same thing.

I did not understand you completely clear. You mean that even with less powerful adapter(>120 Watts) the laptop should work well, and the battery should be charged, but for once more. Or should I contact my supplier and only get the right adapter (120 Watts).

    Best regards

Contact your provider and ask so he could be replaced by the model in the specifications of the laptop. The 90 Watt power adapter will work, but this isn't what has been specified to be included in the purchase.

I suggest that you try a hard reset

Remove the battery and the AC adapter.

Press and hold the power adapter for > 15 seconds.

Plug the power adapter (with the battery always off)

    Press the laptop power button.

Your laptop is now boot into Windows?

    If it is not then

Press the power button and press the F8 key to enter the BIOS.

If you are able to enter the BIOS and make the memory test.

Please post your results here in your thread.

  • Question of ThinkPad T450s Power adapt

Hi guys, this is my first post

I want to buy the Thinkpad T450s soon (US version) for my personal use. My only concern about this is that the power adapter can operate with the South American power (220V, 60 Hz), because the United States 110V operation as far as I know.

Only the product specification is as follows: country Pack 45W AC adapter / CC of the United States (2 pins).

PS: I sent this question a week ago to Lenovo support and they did not respond, so I take this way.

    Thanks in advance.

Power adapter 110-240V, then it should work, I use mine in Europe, you just use the adapter and the end to match your outlet in the country.
