Reset infected Windows Vista
I have a Windows Vista computer that has acted very strange for a long time. I had problems with the intruder for a very long time. The computer was directly followed, or Trojans did their damage. Don't really know how these things work. So I decided to reset the computer. He has worked in the past.
This time, however, it was not possible to activate updates. Updates about 30 - 35, all dealing with intrusions and classified as "critical" by SM. Among these are W Vista service pack. Also not possible to update IE. Not even possible to use MS help/support. (It is written on another PC). I get the error messages that the pages are not possible to open.
I need help to activate updates and that the computer is cool. Please give me some suggestions.
Thank you
Hello
For 32 bits of internet explorer 9, try this link...
and internet explore 8 32-bit... https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/download/Internet-Explorer-8-details.aspx
In fact, I had to get ie8 from a 3rd site like cnet... The Microsoft web page would not display...
For the XP machine, I got lucky and found a previous installer that I had saved years!
Just upgrade to IE8 will help if you haven't already...
Regarding your language questions go... I have that have never met personally, but there are a lot of posts about this sort of thing in 8\8.1 of Win...
My understanding is that language packs must be uninstalled before going to install Service Packs...

Is it useful to reset my Windows Vista Home Premium?
He is three years old (he got the summer three years ago) and it is moderately-heavily used, as in, it is used every day, and there are many programs and files downloaded and installed I do not use. Through my computer and delete all of these files would take much more for a long time that simply reset and its replacement by backups.
My computer is idle or, at least I think, however, I was maybe just more patient three years ago.In addition, please don't suggest you get a new computer, or to download a program to uninstall other programs for me, because my computer spastic and these programs tend to crash.Ah, Yes, that's another question. Some programs that I want to use more (Skype, Apple Software Update, RegClean, etc.) crash as soon as I opened the, and there seems not to be an error with the program, because I posted on other forums vain. So, is it useful to reset my computer? I can do that easily, it will take little effort. Basically, I want to say it's worth it, is, she will fix these issues, such as the opening of the program slowly and crashes random application? How can I reset my windows Vista to display more than 10 open internet windows in my tab bar?
I followed the instructions on how to improve the performance of the computer.
A single statement was to limit the number of open web pages in my tabs bar at 10
I can't find the page setting for this reset to unlimited or a higher number. Where is the settings for this page...
Background. :
I find now that I need about 20 pages open at the same time for arbitration. Now, whenever one of the previously opened pages becomes the 11th that it drops my tab bar and I have to reopen the page with the user name and password that has the effect of slowing me down to him take 3 seconds to see page to now take about 40 seconds to see page. My window of opportunity is not often more than 10 seconds, so my Internet business has become useless.
In fact, internet explore is limited to 10 tabs that can be open at the same time. To change, you could probably change the registry, but doing so will be catastrophic for your system if you choose the wrong somewhere.

I'll choose repair your computer, but when I do, recovery appears. I do not want to restore it in time, I want to erase everything. Help, please!
Hello
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a fee, if they were to have always available.

To reinstall Vista with the help of their recovery disk/s if they gave them, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the drive Partition hard reinstall Windows how much you bought your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system in the event of hard disk failure.
Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can borrow and use a DVD Vista Microsoft (selling retail or OEM System Builders License), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Hello
Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
wish.Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.DO NOT LEAVE THE ENABLED LSA OR USE DAILY. If it corrupts you are toast!

Reset password in Windows Vista
Is there a way to reset the password in Windows Vista? I have a laptop Compaq CQ50 Presario. It is old computer of my stepdaughter, and of course she can't remember the password to connect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Bob
There are utilities such as Offline NT that can reset passwords. Perhaps it would be easier to just boot into Recovery and reinstall Windows if you don't have any files not to lose you. Recovery will reset the laptop to factory condition. To start the recovery, start typing or by pressing the F11 key immediately after switching on the laptop.

Hello
I'm stuck on the screen on my computer for my Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition. The password to the user account has been lost, and now I am unable to access my computer. I don't have a created password reset disk so I can't reset the password. I searched these forums and seems the most effective way is to run a system restore to a time where I did have a password for my account. Fortunately for me, I did an automatic update of Windows that created a system restore point literally moments before I put the password, so I should be able to get access to my computer once I figured out how to get system restore to work. The advice I found on other forums do not seem to work, because I'm in my Windows vista operating system disc, but no screen is coming up with 'Repair your computer', which indicate the steps happen. I need assistance to find another way to run the system restore on boot menus/Vista/DVD CD. Thank you.Go to Bestbuy or other PC shop. They can fix it for you. (Could I have so I am not allowed to post these alternative instructions.)

Reset the updates of Windows - Windows Vista
Hello
I could not download updates for various components of Windows Vista for a few weeks, 8. My last successful updates were:
-Update for Microsoft Silverlight KB3162593 - July 6, 2016
-Update for Windows Vista KB3162835 - July 2, 2016
-Update for Windows Vista KB3164035 - July 2, 2016
-Cumulative Security Update for Explorer 9 for Windows Vista KB3160005 - July 2, 2016
I downloaded the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool KB890830 on August 10, 2016, but all other attempts to download the updates failed.
I read the post of Sumit Dhiman began on November 19, 2015, referring to reset the Windows updates and might inquire if it is applicable to Windows Vista? If not, what is the potential solution for Vista? If it is applicable, so how do I download the script that Sumit mentioned that leads ultimately to a WuReset.zip who will then be extracted to a file WuReset.bat?
Thanks, Stuart
Make sure you have all the updates that are listed in the installed above this page table:
Best regards, VZ
