  • iPhone instead of resetting screenshots

Hi all, I have an iPhone 7 that works fine apart from the fact that I try to do a soft reset (hold power + "home" button) it does nothing except when I release the buttons it takes a screenshot.

Apart from that I have no problem using two buttons and the phone works very well, I can't do a reset (which I think I may need to do iron on some software quirks)-I tried holding it for as long as possible, but after a minute, the screen automatically goes mode sleep If I released before then it's just takes a screenshot.

Have also tried pressing both buttons in various orders, but same result no matter what.

    Any ideas?

The iPhone 7 uses the button On / Off and Volume to perform a reset button.

  • How to reset Apple ID

The question is classic to be fun:)

I write from the Ukraine. Unfortunately we do not have official support from Apple here. So, a year ago our company bought an Iphone 6 S more for my boss. Therefore, the corporate device. Now my boss wants to give this device to his little girl. But we suddenly discovered that identifier Apple of this unit belongs to the person of the it Department that does not not working with us for a year. Now, we cannot attach it to request the ID and the password and can not ask him to delete this device from its iCloud.

We therefore have to reset previous apple ID to use the phone successfully.

This iPhone was purchased by our company and we have documents from the Department account to prove that the device is really for us. Please find screen of the iPhone and documents as an attachment.

Let me know please, what additional details you need.

    Thank you in advance,

  • Is it possible to reinstall or reset the internal microphone of an iMac?

    Some background information:

27 "iMac 5K (end of 2015) running OS X El Capitan (when the problem started), to give birth to Sierra of MacOS. Also have a Bootcamp with Windows installed 10 partition.

A month ago, when under OS X, I noticed the internal mic produced some static when you try to use it. Audio messages in voicemails would be static instead of my voice. The weird part? If I switched to Windows 10, the internal microphone works without any problem. I can ask questions of Cortana, I can record voice messages and they read without static electricity. In fact, no matter what I use the microphone internal to in Windows, it works perfectly.

Sierra of MacOS is out, so I hope that this update may be a BONE would settle the matter. Nope. Internal microphone still does not work on MacOS, but still works perfectly in Windows 10. It is because of this that I am positive the internal MIC is not broken or have a loose wire.

I went through a few steps to try and fix the internal microphone, such as resetting the SMC... but nothing has worked. Any help or ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly greeted.

    Hello dear user

Thank you to use Apple support communities

My recommendation would be to take it to an official Apple store, workers are espceialists, they might be able to fix, make sure also that you have never removed the water on top of the mic. In my iPad, a drop of water directed the music video of speaker if she never exceeds 30% volume of the music.

But if you don't have a store nearby, uninstall malware and unnecessary software, make sure that you don't have a program that allows you to change your sound (like Skype) systems, if you don't do that this program has no impact on your microphone. (I used to have Skype but it also makes audio cut so terrible, piano music sounded like heavy metal music, so heavy metal music was like to...) I don't know what to say.)

My Apple TV remote 3rd generation A1294 aluminium does not work properly, battery is good, and I tried all the resets including factory reset. the battery compartment is clean.

Your Apple TV can become affiliated with another remote control. Hold the remote control close to and pointed on the Apple TV, press and hold the menu and rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see an icon of the chain broken on screen.

Hey people and our apologies in advance to those of you who are aware, I am the fool who needs protection against

I am trying to reset the iMac family as it has been rumbling along for close to 6 years accumulating all the usual garbage. Multiple users, multiple libraries etc. My feeling is to do a factory reset and then spend some time setting the system manually rather than Time Machine etc. I know it's rather long, but I want to make sure that whatever it is on the iMac is here to design rather than a hangover or an oversight. I will also be implemented as a user to avoid the trash in a triple that we had before.

so... the question is how to do the factory reset without risk. I took all the files that I want to disable external hard drives and I have TM backups too. My only concern is because it is a 2010 that I have more no disks. IS this a problem or I'll be able to use the Restorer online?

If the computer is running Sierra what you can do is to restart in the recovery (command-R on startup) Partition

Then, open disk utility and erase the internal HD ATTENTION! This will clean the HD.

Then close THE, and then select install Mac OS and select the internal HD. This will install a clean version of Mac OS X on the computer.

Once OS X is installed, select Restart and make sure that you choose the HD internal as boot drive. Once the computer restarts with your new version of Sierra you can start to install your applications and restore your files, settings, etc...

  • Apple ID ask again to reset password?

    Hey guys,.

I get a notification to change my apple ID password and when I do, it works for ~ 1 day, then the next day, he just asks me to reset my password even once!

He is an annoying problem because whenever I need to reset my password I receive an email from reset, because I forgot security question responses (I'm only human).

The notice does not specify a reason for me to reset the account, and email just says that I asked for a password reset.

Does anyone have AN idea on why it keeps happening to me? Am I hacked?

I think this information might be relevant, I have an old iPhone with the key to iCloud on it, but I do not use it, he's just sitting there with no battery. My only apple device I use daily is this mac. No other device have this ID apple connected with them (iCloud ID).

Where precisely these e-mails come?  Course, you know at once if he is sent to Apple?

  • Need to backup my Apple Watch, I don't want to reset

I have a new iPhone. My previous iPhone died from water damage. My latest backup did not include data from health or regarding my Apple Watch. If I try to pair my Apple Watch to my new iPhone, it seems I have to reset the watch and lose all my data (15 months)! I really don't want to lose my data and training, as well as the health of my Apple Watch, but now I can't pair it with my iPhone.

    What can I do?

    Hello

I'm afraid there is nothing you can do.

Historical data of health and activity are stored on your iPhone paired, not on the watch.

If you do not have a backup of your previous iPhone (from which to restore your new iPhone), you can retrieve no historical data.

You will need to erase content and settings on your watch and pair it with your new iPhone:

    • On your watch: go to the home screen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) > (cog icon) settings > general > reset > erase content and settings.
    • Then pair your watch to your new iPhone: configure your Apple Watch - Apple Support
