  I have listed a key ID and a record label, but I don't see where I can add a device to the account via the web.

  I have a 10 inch next book tablet that is pre installed with Windows 8.1. It came with about 10 Gig of disk and the problem is that the disk is full. I deleted all the personal files on the hard drive and moved all my files to a memory card external and essentially left the system files on the hard drive, but it always reports a full hard disk. I tried to reset to factory settings, but I just get an error "room was error reset your on-board computer" with two options, the first being cancel, which turns off the pc and the second being "more about this problem. By clicking on that returns nothing with the back on the desktop machine. I don't know what to do and suspect that space issues may be the cause of reset to fail. Are there requirements for storage space to reset Windows 8.1? How to do this? The Tablet only has a USB connection and I tried to create a Windows Recovery USB and then use it instead. He also returned nothing and returned to the previous screen after reset.

  I apparently got myself a bit of a circular problem that I would be happy to help with.  I have an old IPAD 2 (WIFI only) I have stopped using about 8 months when I upgraded to AIR 2.  I took out the old IPAD today want to wipe so guests could use it as a tablet based Web browsing.  The battery has been completely drained, then I fully charged... it starts now to the PASSWORD screen.  This is where the challenge has started:

  • The IPAD is WIFI only, 16 GB version.
  • As it stand right now WIFI is disabled because it was completely drained... power now fully charged.
  • IPAD is locked with a PASSWORD, but my PASSWORD does not work, even if I do not remember change... no matter the IPAD is locked.
  • I plugged in my laptop computer and connected to ITunes with the intention of totally reset the Tablet as way of managing the forgotten password
  • However, when I try to reset it via ITunes, it tells me that I need to disable the function "Find my IPAD"... which I can't do on the IPAD because it is locked.
  • So, I have connected on ICLOUD and tried to delete the IPAD saying it was lost...
  • No luck, since ICLOUD cannot get the IPAD, because WIFI is disabled and the Tablet is OFFLINE.

  Any suggestions on the remedies?  I missed something obvious?  I'm fine with the IPAD reset entirely and erasing all the APPS, docs and old e-mail.

  Hi, I had this problem and others here did also.  The fix for me ran the battery all the way down so that the CMOS to reset.  One of the threads detailing this difficulty is here.  Once you get the tablet to the top, you can update for the last EFI firmware and that should hopefully prevent it from happening again.

  I have the Acer Iconia W500 we have upgraded to Windows 10.  Due to the assumption of updated driver, I decided to reset the tablet.  I have reset the system without discs and then installing Windows, that the computer is blocked "create an account for this PC' because the USB mouse works.  I discovered that the touch screen and a keyboard are unusable during this process so I plugged a USB mouse that works very well.  But installing requires that I type a user name, and it won't let me skip this step.  Without keyboard or touch screen, I am unable to enter a user name in the field.  Thank you for your suggestions.

  Plug a keyboard instead of a mouse, you can tab between fields to be able to live without the mouse. If you do not have a practical USB keyboard, check the local thrift stores. They are generally very cheap there...
