I installed and bought 'Antivirus Platinum Soft', but, my provider internet supplies other software anti-virus free with my subscription, I want to know how I can get a refund, I already uninstalled "Antivirus soft Platinum"?

You have been scammed and now your computer is probably infected. Platinum software antivirus is a rogue security program, not a legitimate. You must call your credit card issuer and put a chargeback on soft money for Antivirus Platinum and cancel this credit card, since it is now in the hands of the bad guys. Make sure that your computer is clean since thieves usually bring in "boyfriends". This is general information about the removal of thieves:

Your system is infected with a rogue security program. It's called "thugs" because he pretended to be a good guy but is really bad. Don't pay them!

Malwarebytes' Anti-malware (MBAM) or SuperAntiSpyware will often do the job. Both have free versions and you don't need to buy these programs.

These can work for you, and all can be good. However, in many cases the computer will also infected with other horses of Trojan and protected by a rootkit. These machines are extremely difficult to clean. If your machine is one of these cases, either the interactive assistance to one of the specialty forums listed in the link below, OR take your machine to a professional on the local computer OR backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. It's your choice. I do not recommend using BigComputerStore/GeekSquad types of places.

  • Satellite 1900-303 - system crashing

    Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite s1900-303, which requires urgent attention. Whenever I try to burn a DVD/VCD with nero or super software system DVD carshes in between. This only happens when the software converts a .wmv or other types of files in files DVD/VCD compatiable. If I try to burn a DVD/VCD file without converting them, the system will not crash! I tried to uninstall/reinstall the software... I deleted all the hard drive and reinstalled everything. But same problem persists.

As sometimes happens when I use my spyware or antivirus soft... ?

    Could you help me?

    Thank you

Obviously, the system crashes when the activity of the CPU is very high (data file conversion or use of the software that needs to scan the HARD drive). In this case, CPU activity is very high, CPU produce a lot of heat, and I presume that the unit is not cooled properly right now. Satellite 1900 is aged about 3 years and if you didn t clean yet you should do.

When you remove all dust, the vents will work properly and hardware components can be cooled to the right way.

It depends on the timeline.  If the scanning and cleaning of malware that you listed was made after February 12, then you can still be infected due to the restoration of the system.
Therefore, I would say that you are running an analysis of potential threats, before installing the updates.   Also, take a look at this sticky post:

  • How to remove McAfee without dropping my flash player IE9 operability

I just got a brand new Inspiron 5520 with bundled software.

Whenever I tried to delete McAfee in order to use a different antivirus Soft, my FlashDrive IE9 unresponsive.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? If yes what should I do about this problem of uninstalling?

    Thank you!

    Hi Eki_fils,

I agree with ky331, it seems rather strange that the uninstallation of McAfee would affect somehow Flash Player .

    .

    Anyway, try this:

    Download and run MCPR.exe

    • Download the http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exeremoval tool.
    • Click Saveand save the file in the folder of downloads on your computer.
    • Navigate to the folder where the file was saved.
    • Ensure that all McAfee Windows are closed, as well as all other running programs such as browsers, instant messaging, etc.
    • Right-click MCPR.exe and select run as administrator.
    • When you see the user account control dialog box, click Yes.
    • The McAfee software removal screen, click Next.
    • In the contract (EULA) dialog box, click next to accept the contract.
    • When you are prompted, type the Captcha information to validate the security of applications, and then click Next.
    • When you see the message CleanUp successful, restart your computer. Your McAfee product is not completely removed after reboot.

    .

If you are having problems with Flash Player in Internet Explorer after you complete the steps above, please re - download Flash Player from the link in the post above ky331 and save in your downloads folder.

    • Close all running programs.
    • Double-click your Flash Player file downloaded to re - install.
