  I tested on my version 1.3 ISE and it worked fine. My understanding of the matter is, you were not able to change the default Admin user password by logging CLI with another user with admin role.

  I tested on my version 1.3 ISE and it worked well for me. With the ISO image, you can change the password of the admin user, but you cannot change the names of users.

  I forgot my password to access my user admin account I have no fixed disk and when I try to make a requested my password - which I forgot. I have 3 accounts, Admin, my own standard account and a standard account of comments. I tried to change the adim to the standard user account, but it will not change. I tried to change my own account to use an admin account, but again, it will not change. I can't do more long update my security software has so need help please.

  Hello, I can't remember my windows password because I always used option 'Remember my password' to connect.  Never had to put on a password.  All of a sudden, when I was asked to sign in with a password, I do not remember and did not have e-mail for some time.  I used the reset password option but have not received a response from the Windows live for more than 4 days now.  They say that the answers come in 24 hours.  I wonder if anyone knows what I have to do to reset my hotmail password.  Any number I can call?  You will appreciate all help.

  EVERYONE has an administrator account in Windows XP Home Edition. It is accessible by entering Safe Mode:

  You call the computer manufacturer and ask to speak to a technician.
  Do you explain question to that person.
  Request a set of recovery disks. E cost is minimal and it is worth the money spent.
  Also ask the technician if he or she can teach you how to access your partition recovery without valid password.
  If possible, ask how to use the recovery partition to recover the systm.

  1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
  2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
  3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
  4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.

  6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
  7. Configure Windows to a point before you changed the password.
  8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

• Admin account locked out

  Something strange is happening with my Windows 7. We had two accounts of users out there: mine (which was also the Admin account) and my wife. None of these accounts had a password. (Perhaps not a good idea, but no one else uses your computer.)

  Last night, my wife was not appear on the display of connection opening, but there was an empty profile called "user". When I connected who and entered in the user account of my wife, he let connect us.

  There are two things you can do:

  • Restart your machine in Repair Mode, with your CD to repair Windows, then use system restore to set Windows to a point before your problems began.

  You can use the service account to create a new password if the administrator password is lost.

  To reset the password through the root account, you can run the commands from the root below:

  Change password for

  Enter the new password (minimum 5, maximum of 8 characters)

  Please use a combination of upper and lower case and numbers.
