Reset the SMC on Macbook 13 inch 2013 retina

I just reset the SGC of my retina 2013 macbook, I bought there a little more than two years. Lately, it's been slow and fans have worked very hard, even though I have only run programs like Microsoft Word and Spotify. Suddenly, he showed "service battery" in the battery icon, made me do a google search, discover, reset the SMC should solve the problem, what he did. Now, it doesn't show "service battery" but my concern is, or not, it was a real problem? Communities and the videos I have looked at do not explain as "what happens next".

It should be fine now that you have reset your SMC and things seem to work normally. If the problem persists contact the Apple Support. These things can happen over time. Make sure not to overload your battery as you can. Also it setting auto-dormir once a certain amount of time will help preserve the life of your screen and the battery.

If the battery is good behaviour

    1. turn off the Mac.

    2. plug the MagSafe or USB - C adapter to a power source and to your Mac.

    3. using the built-in keyboard, press shift-control-Option on the left side of the keyboard, then press the power button at the same time.

    4. release all buttons, then press the power button to turn on your Mac

In step 3, press all 4 buttons (simultaneously), and consider this a while pressed. However, the Macbook starts at.

Even if I press the 4 keys briefly (simultaneously), launching the Mac.

I suspect that the MSC has not been reset.

    I did something wrong?

The MagSafe adapter is connected? You use SHIFT-control-Option on the side LEFT of the keyboard. This is important.

Why are reset you the SMC? Is there a problem with the computer? If you are having keyboard problems, then there are chances that the keyboard does not use precisely the keys that you press. The computer must be turned off all the time, and the MagSafe will (in general) briefly change colors when you release the keys.

Can I reset the SMC IF I did only 1 arm work? Y at - it a reset from the command line? I use a Mac to mid-2011 under El Cap [itaine

There is no command line to reset the SMC. It is not clear if you have a laptop or a desktop model. If this is a desktop computer, all you have to do is turn off the power and unplug the power cord for 15 seconds. If it's a laptop with a non-removable battery, I doubt that you can reset the SMC without help, because the combination of keys is expected to require two hands.

  • Upgrade of the fans on MacBook Pro 2014 retina

Hi, can the fans inside the Macbook Pro upgrade 2014? I game on my mac and also to use some applications requiring a power of good treatment. These are the heat of my laptop a lot and therefore uncomfortable to lay my hands on. I wanted to improve the cooling on my mac.

There is no way to upgrade the fans.  If you were to replace the fans it would be exactly the same unit.

If you run games or applications processor it will warm up.

Different machines have different processors, different graphics cards, all soldered to logic board - not upgradable - point-of-sale only.  This can make a difference in how hot they are.

Some machines a discreet and Integrated GPU, some only a single graphics card.

In addition to third-party fan contol the only applications user would be to try to reset the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964 to see if there is a difference.

  • Is it possible to reinstall or reset the internal microphone of an iMac?

    Some background information:

27 "iMac 5K (end of 2015) running OS X El Capitan (when the problem started), to give birth to Sierra of MacOS. Also have a Bootcamp with Windows installed 10 partition.

A month ago, when under OS X, I noticed the internal mic produced some static when you try to use it. Audio messages in voicemails would be static instead of my voice. The weird part? If I switched to Windows 10, the internal microphone works without any problem. I can ask questions of Cortana, I can record voice messages and they read without static electricity. In fact, no matter what I use the microphone internal to in Windows, it works perfectly.

Sierra of MacOS is out, so I hope that this update may be a BONE would settle the matter. Nope. Internal microphone still does not work on MacOS, but still works perfectly in Windows 10. It is because of this that I am positive the internal MIC is not broken or have a loose wire.

I went through a few steps to try and fix the internal microphone, such as resetting the SMC... but nothing has worked. Any help or ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly greeted.

    Hello dear user

Thank you to use Apple support communities

My recommendation would be to take it to an official Apple store, workers are espceialists, they might be able to fix, make sure also that you have never removed the water on top of the mic. In my iPad, a drop of water directed the music video of speaker if she never exceeds 30% volume of the music.

But if you don't have a store nearby, uninstall malware and unnecessary software, make sure that you don't have a program that allows you to change your sound (like Skype) systems, if you don't do that this program has no impact on your microphone. (I used to have Skype but it also makes audio cut so terrible, piano music sounded like heavy metal music, so heavy metal music was like to...) I don't know what to say.)

  • iMac (27 inch, 5 retina k, end of 2015) startup problem

    I am currently using late 2015 5 k retina 27-inch iMac.

My iMac doesn't always dΘmarre as expected. There will be a start-up chime, but the screen just remains completely black. It takes sometimes more than 5 minutes to start magically after freezing to the black screen. And when I managed to connect, my mouse (USB) could freeze a few times. I downloaded Smoothmouse to kill the mouse acceleration.

I tried to reset the SMC and the NVRAM, however it does not seem to solve the problem. I have faced this same problem after exchanging the 3 sets of iMac.

Wondering if a defective mouse could be the cause of this problem? Or could it be the Smoothmouse. However, I still don't think that an iMac could be so vulnerable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
