reset the weird acting bounding box in Illustrator CC2014

I upgraded to Illustrator CC 2014 last week and I have a problem with delivery to zero limit box function. With previous versions of Illustrator, upward through and including the previous version of CC, I was able to use the reset function bounding box after the rotation of an object to reset the X limits / there axes. Now, in 2014 of CC, I am unable to do it with rectangles, and rounded rectangles. He still works for ellipses and polygons and stars, but not for the rectangles. When I rotate a rectangle and try to reset the bounding box, nothing happens. Is there some arcane adjustment that I managed to turn on or off? Everyone knows about this problem?

News, tips, tricks, or condolences are appreciated.

You must release the first rectangle. It is a direct form.

Read about rectangles directly in the section "News" of the manual (it is presented each time you start the program after all).

  • Why is there not a reference point locator in the scale tool dialog box in Illustrator?

I guess that's also a suggestion that it is, but why isn't there a reference point locator in the scale tool dialog box in Illustrator? Maybe the function exists and I'm not aware, but it would just using the tool of the easier level. I realize, I can type in mathematics to scale upwards or downwards in the palette transform or workspace, but the scale tool dialog box offers the additional advantage to allow you to preview the results, while the other options are not. Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

  • Transformation/Bounding Box Bug Illustrator CC 2014 18.1.0

    Hi guys,.

I made a small screencast here, anyway the bug is simple to explain. For some reason any transform/bounding box disappears on simple objects, but behaves normally on multiples and groups.

Such a small thing but very annoying.

    see you soon

    Dave

    (Illustrator CC 2014 18.1.0 - OSX 10.8.5 MBP i7 2.66GHx | 8 GB of RAM)

No fixed soon Adobe Illustrator ?

    Dave,

    There are a few options.

The bug of live Rectangle that is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  • Hate the new GUI bounding box

In InDesign CS, the bounding box blue appearing around an object when selected was very helpful, but in InDesign CC, encompassing which includes several objects when selected new blue is very annoying and confusing. Can someone tell me how to disable?

It is not the end of the world. I just asked in case there was a way to turn it off.

Make your choice, then press A.

A and V will toggle the bounding power on and off

  • Muse supports more States on the png without bounding box?

Are you serious? < shake my head >. I really liked that Muse could add lights and shados (effects) to the States of bearing (and others), the png files that followed the contours of this file WITHOUT the bounding box, which is amateur at best. Please bring that back, you have somehow lost this function in the CC 2014 update.

    Thank you!

It is a bug. We are aware and working.

  • How can I get the default sequences bounding box?

I try to get the bounding box for a film to be on by default for selected images in the timeline panel, but I can't seem to find out how. where is this preference or this setting for this? FCP7 has this and I cannot understand how do in PP. I hate having to click on the transformation icon everytime I want to scale or to place something in the program monitor.

What you want is to emulate the FCP Image + wireframe. As you probably already know that does not exist in Premiere Pro. You will have to make a feature request for this specific feature: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

  • dialog box open Illustrator cc2014 will not work yosemite

I have a Macbook Pro retina 2014 with a new installation of Yosemite and creative cloud, after some time, when I used the open dialog box for 4 or 5 times to open documents, this dialog box no longer works, I have to leave, and then reopen the Illustrator application, the shortcut does not work either. Does anyone have this problem before?

When I was on the Mountain Lion, I never had this problem, I guess it's related to Yosemite.

    Gelouis,

I think this is a bug in CC2014, that appears when you open Illustrator / place dialogue together for display column and sort by date or sort by kind. You can adapt it to display by name or a list of point of view.

I just installed the latest version of avian influenza after the death of my machine and for some reason that I don't have a bounding box when you select a single shape with the selection tool. • Everytime I open a new Illustrator file, these leaders Council art and green bounding boxes are on the art map. How can I get green inclusive off the screen?

    IMG_4040.jpg

I don't know how to get rid of them in a file that you have already opened, but I know why you get them. When you create a new file with a profile "Video and film", you will get the guides of film and television production.

Try instead to create a new document with a «Basic RGB» profile

Edit: OK, you can get the crosshairs and bounding boxes get out by going to the preparation of the Document > change work plans and then deselect these options:

... Always impossible to get the sovereign - things go, however.

  • Check if the bounding box is another setting of

Using the PDETextIsAtRect function, I discovered that if returns items that do not part of the bounding box. So I wanted to know if I have two bounding boxes, is it possible to check if the an element bounding box is located in the bx covering something else.

This isn't valid C. Eh well, clearly, it compiles, but it doesn't do very well what you think. You cannot use form one<= b=""><= c,="" only="" compare="" two="" things,="" not="">

  • Object > transform > reset the rectangle enclosing do not work.

Hi, I make a biconical mark, I'm doing a square with M, turn 45 degrees and then I did "object > transform > reset Bounding Box" and nothing happens. How can I solve this problem? I have the latest version of Illustrator 19.2.0

    Thank you

You must use object > shape > expand shape to develop the direct form before resetting the rectangle encompassing work. Yes, Illustrator must be smart enough to perform this intermediate step for you, but it doesn't.

  • Why my Illustrator images become thicker strokes when I take the bounding box and make it smaller?

Why my Illustrator images become thicker strokes when I take the bounding box and make it smaller? It never happened to me. I'm not an expert in Illustrator, but I do know some basic principles.

In the preferences, is the scale strokes and effects verified?

  • Reset bounding box

In versions before 2015 Illustrator, choose object > transform > reset the rectangle encompassing would reset the bounding box so that she was right, even if an object had been turned. Now, if the shape is created with a basic shape tools, as the polygon, this command does nothing, it is not correct the bounding box.

Does anyone know how to reset the bounding box on forms of base in CC?

It seems that we are stuck with it if we want to have forms of living. If you go to object > shape > expand your shape, you can reset the bounding box. But if you then go object > shape > convert shape, the bounding box jumps to angle.

Thus, the choice is currently Live forms or reset the bounding boxes, but not both. That answer your question?

  • Bounding box does not object (Illustrator CS4)

I don't know if this is a bug or a mistake on my part, but since last week, the bounding box for my objects really did match objects. It's really problematic when I try to turn the object using the bounding box handles.

Occasionally, after I have transform the object covering the match again and will transform correctly. Sometimes it will stay off. If he refocus, undoing the changes back to the original size will cause the framework encompassing restore in his State do not match.

Things, I tried to solve the problem:

    1. Reset bounding box
    2. Copy and paste the form to another document
    3. A new document from scratch (I thought it was possible I corrupted the file)
    4. Return the default keyboard shortcuts
    5. Restart Illustrator
    6. Rebooting my system

To my knowledge, my system has not been last updated last week, or whatever again was installed. However, HE pushes the interview so there is a possibility that it has been updated and I don't know about it. The only programs open work in Illustrator is bridge, Outlook 2007, IE8, Explorer, InDesign CS4, Word 2007, Photoshop CS4, Acrobat 9 Professional, Dreamweaver CS4, PowerPoint 2007, Previewer and possibly FireFox 3. something (although not necessarily at the same time - usually about 7 of the above listed). My system is XP Professional SP3 with an Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 GHz and 3.25 GB of RAM. The objects are not grouped, contain no clipping masks, contain no transparency masks and are not transparent traces. They are paths/simple forms, often of the rectangles.

I've included some pics to explain better my problem. This first picture shows how the framework encompassing does not match the rectangle.

    MismatchedBoundingBox.gif

The second image shows the process of transformation of the form through drag.

    TransformProcess.gif

The third image shows the result.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

It is a display bug (?) that has been around for a while. The corners of the rectangle enclosing space requirement and display then the bounding box must be established more then the object it contains. That's correct, I think - but the bug occurs when you resize and she estimated the size of the bounding box, rather than the size of the object.

The only solution for the bounding box to work is to zoom in order to have the corners of room bounding box to draw the size of the object. Alternatively, look at your panel of transformation to manually resize your object.

Would also report to Adobe so they know that we care about it being fixed: Adobe - feature request/Bug Report Form
