Reset bounding box

In versions before 2015 Illustrator, choose object > transform > reset the rectangle encompassing would reset the bounding box so that she was right, even if an object had been turned. Now, if the shape is created with a basic shape tools, as the polygon, this command does nothing, it is not correct the bounding box.

Does anyone know how to reset the bounding box on forms of base in CC?

It seems that we are stuck with it if we want to have forms of living. If you go to object > shape > expand your shape, you can reset the bounding box. But if you then go object > shape > convert shape, the bounding box jumps to angle.

Thus, the choice is currently Live forms or reset the bounding boxes, but not both. That answer your question?

  • Bounding box does not object (Illustrator CS4)

I don't know if this is a bug or a mistake on my part, but since last week, the bounding box for my objects really did match objects. It's really problematic when I try to turn the object using the bounding box handles.

Occasionally, after I have transform the object covering the match again and will transform correctly. Sometimes it will stay off. If he refocus, undoing the changes back to the original size will cause the framework encompassing restore in his State do not match.

Things, I tried to solve the problem:

    1. Reset bounding box
    2. Copy and paste the form to another document
    3. A new document from scratch (I thought it was possible I corrupted the file)
    4. Return the default keyboard shortcuts
    5. Restart Illustrator
    6. Rebooting my system

To my knowledge, my system has not been last updated last week, or whatever again was installed. However, HE pushes the interview so there is a possibility that it has been updated and I don't know about it. The only programs open work in Illustrator is bridge, Outlook 2007, IE8, Explorer, InDesign CS4, Word 2007, Photoshop CS4, Acrobat 9 Professional, Dreamweaver CS4, PowerPoint 2007, Previewer and possibly FireFox 3. something (although not necessarily at the same time - usually about 7 of the above listed). My system is XP Professional SP3 with an Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 GHz and 3.25 GB of RAM. The objects are not grouped, contain no clipping masks, contain no transparency masks and are not transparent traces. They are paths/simple forms, often of the rectangles.

I've included some pics to explain better my problem. This first picture shows how the framework encompassing does not match the rectangle.

The second image shows the process of transformation of the form through drag.

The third image shows the result.

It is a display bug (?) that has been around for a while.  The corners of the rectangle enclosing space requirement and display then the bounding box must be established more then the object it contains.  That's correct, I think - but the bug occurs when you resize and she estimated the size of the bounding box, rather than the size of the object.

The only solution for the bounding box to work is to zoom in order to have the corners of room bounding box to draw the size of the object.  Alternatively, look at your panel of transformation to manually resize your object.

  • reset the weird acting bounding box in Illustrator CC2014

I upgraded to Illustrator CC 2014 last week and I have a problem with delivery to zero limit box function. With previous versions of Illustrator, upward through and including the previous version of CC, I was able to use the reset function bounding box after the rotation of an object to reset the X limits / there axes. Now, in 2014 of CC, I am unable to do it with rectangles, and rounded rectangles. He still works for ellipses and polygons and stars, but not for the rectangles. When I rotate a rectangle and try to reset the bounding box, nothing happens. Is there some arcane adjustment that I managed to turn on or off? Everyone knows about this problem?

News, tips, tricks, or condolences are appreciated.

You must release the first rectangle. It is a direct form.

Read about rectangles directly in the section "News" of the manual (it is presented each time you start the program after all).

  • Symbols of palatine making bounding box too much.

I use Illustrator CC15 on a Mac. I created an image I want to use as a veneer on a revolution of another file object. When I select all objects which compiles the image, group them, and then select the symbol of the 'new' brand in the Palace of symbols, the bounding box that is created is huge and biased. This creates a problem when I use the symbol as the art of the card on the other file. Because the bounding box is so important, the symbol must be turned and moved, and this makes it very very jagged and almost pixelated looking.

    Here is what I tried:

Given that the image I created is so great that my work plan, I have has shrunk the image and tried. Same result.

I use a large rectangle as the background. I deleted who and tried again, same result.

I tried selecting, symbol-processing-reset edition encompassing. Same result. Just, which shrinks the original work.

    Screenshot 2015-06-21 16.57.45.png

Furthermore, anyone know why my edges can are so shredded? It is an object of revolution. I tried to mix both reduce and make more steps, he of better, but is never smooth.

What is going on? What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help.

    Holly,

Are you sure nothing off somewhere that gets included?

You can look for something like stray pints or something without a fill or something; and you can try to switch to the view > preview.

With respect to irregularities, try to disable the GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the App bar and the de-selection of the Performance GPU checkbox.

You can also take a look here,

to see what it is all about and more info on how to turn, but also what is needed to run if possible, including requirements and driver update,

  • I-2015 does not display of selections, guides and bounding boxes

Illustrator does not appear selections, guides, or bounding boxes in MBP (2014 Retina) with Yosemite.

None of the toggles work in the menus, keyboard shortcuts or playlists with the tools.

The preferences were not reset - still no joy.

A solution would be most appreciated!

Try and disable the socket supported GPU.

  • Help, please. Can't resize boxes – this isn't a question of "show/hide bounding box.

    Hello

I opened illustrator today and found that I couldn't resize all forms using the angle handles. I tried to hide/show the bounding box, and this isn't the issue... I really don't want to reset my preferences. There were similar issues like this, but the only answer I get is hide/show bounding - that is certainly not my problem. Please help - this is driving me crazy

    Hi hummis243,

You are on Mac OS 10.7 or 10.8? We have similar problems on these operating systems. The current workaround is to upgrade your operating system to 10.9 and it should solve your problem.

  • How can you turn on and off this bounding box?

    Hello

I work with a group of students in AfterEffects and showed students how to move an object.  There is a bounding box appears around the work of everyone with the exception of a student and for the life of me I can not understand how to market.  I'm probably using the wrong name for it, but I enclose a photo.

Could someone point me toward putting in - should I use to activate it?

This is the layer handles. See-> see the layer controls to turn it on. If the layer controls are on and you see her always, click on the compose window and choose View-> display options and see that the "handles" is checked.

  • PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect and PDETextGetBBox producing different bounding boxes

I used PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect to get the bounding box of a single character, then I used PDETextGetBBox to retrieve the character bounding boxes in a PDEText element. However when I get to the character in question limit box will not come out the same. The left, right and the sides of the bottom of the box are coming as planned, but the top is larger, then the original box from PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect. Any idea on what could be the issue.

These are not only different API, they are conceptually different and work in different ways (one on content EDP page, an abstraction of the graphical model and one on the PDWordFinder, a text extractor). I'm surprised that they are also similar because they are given many different concepts of "enclosing" you might find (square em, limit of control point, nominal path, path antialisesed limit, advance left-right text...)

The mixture of these unfortunate necessity of the API isn't. You must apply a fuzzy logic to match its content and hope for the best.

  • Check if the bounding box is another setting of

Using the PDETextIsAtRect function, I discovered that if returns items that do not part of the bounding box. So I wanted to know if I have two bounding boxes, is it possible to check if the an element bounding box is located in the bx covering something else.

This isn't valid C. Eh well, clearly, it compiles, but it doesn't do very well what you think. You cannot use form one<= b=""><= c,="" only="" compare="" two="" things,="" not="">

  • How to create a bounding box in Photoshop CS6?

    Hello, group.

The other day, I saw an Adobe web page that showed a picture whose part was a sheet inside. The sheet was locked in a bounding box. However, it seems unlikely that the person working on this image needed (where this picture was concerned) for the text tool. If you need to place a block of type within a bounding box, you simply select the text tool and drag. This creates a bounding box.

What of those occasions when no text is at issue, but simply a physical object in the picture? How to create a bounding box for this?

Thank you for all the helpful tips.

    S.G.

You can also use the move tool, with "Show transform controls" checked in the options.

  • I want to fill track of Image with white people, but not the bounding box

I want to fill track of Image with white people, but not the bounding box.

I have several black and white pen and ink sketches that I want to scan to JPEG, make a record of the image in the drawing line and have "encompassing" transparent but keep the white background in the image.

Is there a way to do this?

You would need to expand the trace, and then remove the 'bounding box white' after tracing.

  • No bounding box using the drawinmg object.

    Hello

To animate a CC, I find that if I draw a circle with the Oval tool in object drawing Mode, there is no encompassing visible around the object.

My understanding is that a bounding box should appear around objects in Object Drawing Mode.

Can someone explain this? I use a wacom with OSX 10.11.2 stylus

    Thank you.

It is a change with the new version. Limits will be consistent with the actual shape of the object to place the rectangular outline that you are used to seeing.
