Resize a line without changing the width?

Hello

I am new to Flash/AS, so please, be gentle.

I created a line (on the scene) where height is 10px, and the width is 2px. To resize, I converted to a symbol (MovieClip) and given an instance (let's say li ).

However, when I get home...

li.height = 200;

... or resize the MovieClip with the mouse, the line is 200px height, but it has also increased substantially thicker!

However, if I go to the clip, click on the picture and resize it here, I have the line stays slim and beautiful.

How to solve this dilemma? Can I access the object of drawing with a special 'trick' or draw the object with as in the first place (but how?)?

There must be a way to do it, I would be very happy if someone could tell me which would be the best way (I want to resize each image line, so a solution AS would be preferable).

Thanks in advance!

If you select the line and look in the properties panel, you should see a selection of scale.  Choose None

  • Graphic style that adds the line without changing the filling?

    I want to assign a graphic style that adds to the existing style. For example, I need to add the same line to various objects that have different fillings. I can do it with a graphic Style? I know that I can the group object and add the style of the group, but it complicates the structure of the file. I would have preferred the race has been added to the object itself. I watched "additives styles", but don't think they are what I'm looking for.

    When I adjust the stage size ellipses distort apparently in scale. But the size of the forms values remain the same.

    Why is this happening?

    Is there a way to change the width of the stage without affecting the size of the ellipses?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Path of the scale without affecting the width of the line:

    Hi all

    This seems like it should be simple to do, but I'm not having any luck here. Basically I have a path akin to a null value which controls several things, their downward revision, turning and moving through the composition. One of these elements is a path with a stroke of 32 px.  I want to be able to reduce the path itself, but let the race the same.

    I thought I could key the width of the line manually, but this has no effect - scaling upward does not seem that the path scales down to change the width of the line at all at the end keyframe, only to the first keyframe. I see the number of px start at 32 and increase until it moves along the timeline, even if the width of the line on the screen becomes even smaller as if there is no change at all to the width.

    Thank you!

    You don't want generally not scale the layer that contains the line, you want to add to the mask path keyframes and animate the size of the path. It's easy. You just start by double-clicking on one of the tops and using the processing area.

    If this technique does not work for you, then you have two other options, the two expressions involving. These two options use exactly the same expression to examine the magnitude of your layer draw and both assume that the null value is scaling to 100% at the beginning of the animation. The option I would choose would be to replace the mask path on a layer at once applied with layer of form with applied outline path. You have many more options, and you're dealing with vector information. Another solution, it's the expression.

    SF = thisComp.layer ("control Null 1").transform.scale[0]/100; ")

    OV = value;

    NV = ov / sf

    SF (scale factor) is the scale value x control null which is the parent of the stroke layer or the layer with the edge effect applied to a mask divided by 100. If you plan to scale X and Y of the parent you will need to edit the expression, and then combine the scale factors and this solution will not work as well.  The original scale value is divided by 100 to make it a decimal value

    OV (original value) is the initial value of the race.

    NV (new value) is calculated by dividing the original value by the scale factor.

    It is base of the 7th grade algebra. If your parent control is scaling less than 0 then the race will disappear because the value won't change a negative number. If it is necessary in your publication, you can write an if statement that will change the nv back to a positive number if the scale factor becomes less than or equal to zero and solve the divide by mistake you would get with a scale factor of 0-0.

    One final point, and it's important. This expression will produce accurate results if applied to the size of the brush of a mask path when you use the effects > Generate > stroke effect to create your line but when bracts plus 100% of the line begins to fall apart and anti-aliasing will not be able to catch up with pixilation caused by scale. About 120% line will start to look slimmer and more than 140% Cela will look bad even if the width of the line is numerically accurate.

    I'll let you take it from there.

  • change the width of line managers

    Hi friends,

    How to change the width of the line of all the images for example: framework, framework of the ellipse, polygon frame rectangle.

    Kind regards

    Barro

    Not a good solution, Kasyan. If the weight of the race is already '1', it won't change!

    Use it instead:

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    for (var i = 0; i)< doc.allpageitems.length;="" i++)="">

    doc.allPageItems [i] .strokeWeight += 1;

    }

    This will change the weight of the race of all images, as requested.

  • How to change the width of the div CSS from the Center?

    Very basic question here, but I'm relatively new to DW. Please use the following url for reference: www.pawnpawn.com.

    Basically, I inherited the site of a previous Designer, who is no longer available. All I want to do is expand the container with our Services, how it works, etc so that contact us either on the same line with the rest. I know how to expand the container in CSS, but it grows to the right instead of from the Center. Here is the original code, without the new specification of width:

    #nav {}

    display: block;

    text-align: center;

    border-top: 1px solid #d3d3d3;

    border-bottom: 1px solid #d3d3d3;

    margin: auto 10px 0;

    min-height: 35px;

    Padding: 12px 0 0;

    If I add "width: 1100px;" he broadens it properly, but not Center. I tried "align: center;" but it was just a guess, and it does not work.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance and sorry for this fundamental question!

    MP

    Line 24 of skeleton.css says

    . Container {position: relative;} Width: 960px; margin: 0 auto; padding: 0; }

    If you change the width, you will get what you want. The problem is that the entire page will be the new width. You then have the choice either redevelop available to suit or wrap the rest of the page in another container with the width of origin.

  • How to change the width and height of the title?

    Program: First Pro CC

    Recently I create da title for my video. I noticed that when I had looked at the preview of the title and the video, the title is so blurry. My settings at first:

    SAve.PNG

    How am I able to change the width and height parameters (to make the title more high definition) , without having to create another title in replacement from that Fuzzy? I don't ask if I have to create another title and insert it in the video, and then having to erase those blurry I had to replace. How are you able to change settings of the original title, without having to make a new title? Should I go to the 'Properties' tab when there is nothing at all (as in there is no option to change the w + h title quality) to change the current settings of the title?

  • Cannot change the width of the frame using the toolbar

    I'm suddenly having the strangest problem.

    Usually, I put the height and the width of the frames by typing in the values that I want in the upper left corner of the toolbar.

    Screen Shot 2014-10-22 at 11.12.34 AM.png

    I am suddenly unable to change the width of the frames. Height is fine. But when I type in the new value for the width and press ENTER, nothing happens to the selected image.

    Height works always normally, with or without "constrain proportions" on.

  • Clip name without changing the name of the original clip

    Hello

    I am looking for a way to name a clip without changing the name of the original clip.

    For example:

    I have a clip called D066_140825_001_AA1663, I need to keep. But I would add one more name in a different area.

    Ideally it should look like this:

    Name Description
    Erica D066_140825_001_AA1663 moves the couch
    Erica D066_140825_001_AA1664 is conducted

    Erica D066_140825_001_AA1665 and John encounter

    etc.

    I see that in the draft of the first window there is a line named Description. Is there a way for me to add a description of the clip of prelude, or appoint the clips in any other way?

  • Create a mov mp4 file without changing the dimensions

    I'm working on a project for InDesign that has out of DPS.

    I take screenshot movies that are saved to the default mov format. These movies are 700 px x 400 px. This cannot be changed.

    I need to convert the mov to an mp4.

    I got SOUL but I'm confused as to how to set the output settings.

    I don't want to change the dimensions.

    What setting will convert the mov to mp4 without changing the dimensions?

    MPEG4 is one of the formats that has relationships between parameters called constraints. Specifically, the image dimensions and speed are limited by the profile and level. Here are the steps to set the dimensions of your choice:

    1. Open the export for a job settings dialog box
    2. Play in MPEG4 format
    3. Click on the video tab
    4. For Advanced Simple profile
    5. Game from level to level 5
    6. To the right of the width of the frame and the height of the frame, click on the chain link icon to dissociate the width and height
    7. Set the width 700
    8. Fixed height 400
    9. (optional) Change other settings such as Frame Rate and Bitrate as you wish.
    10. (optional, but strongly recommended for future practical reasons) click the button Save preset right of the Preset control in the upper right corner [CS5.5 and before the button icon is a diskette; in CS6, it's an arrow pointing down to a rectangle, which I assume is a disk drive.] Enter a name for the custom preset in the dialog box that appears, and then click OK.
    11. In the export settings dialog box, click OK (if you opened this dialog of the SOUL) or queue (if you started the Organization).

    The preset that you saved in step 10 will appear in the list of presets for MPEG4, so you can use it for future encoding jobs. If you have the SOUL CS6, custom presets appear also in the section at the top of the new Preset browser.
