  Hi all.. I tried this but I can't find the answer, I need, hope that there can help!

  We have a PDF we provided by a customer that was created in a program of open source Page layout... Its 100 pages and weighs a muscular 1.15 GB. Its pretty complex nestled in places, consisting of text, images and graphics.

  We thought we could extract the pages as single files, or split the document down into manageable portions, but when we do that the files remain at a constant 1.15 GB even as simple pages.

  Or would you say that we should be able to maintain the quality of the current image while sorting complex illustrations, transparency, and the issue of size?

  Thank you... Pre-series flattening of transparency in the optimizer sorted! He fell up to half, and then extracting Page gave me single page PDF files into single page PDF formats!

• States of the objects - one per page?

  I have problems of execution MSO several on the same page. (These are not "connected" to a button action - they are called to play on the loop and the loading of the page)

  It is interesting because it worked well working on the beta version of Digital Publishing Suite. Now that I use the same files to run an update of the application, this feature no longer works, even after re - build. Now it only shows the last created MSO and ignores the rest.

  Anyone know if this is a bug that is corrected? Or is there a reason for not allowing the MSO several in the same page?

  Your answers have been very useful. One last thing to make sure that we are all on the same page:

  If I submit the ESM multiple iTunes app in an article/page, it will not work properly. It is still supported.  Is this correct?

  We have the same problem with effectiveness by having several people to review the App (especially if the viewer update will be available in a few weeks)

  Since we use the same set up under the latest version of this app, I think OK submitting without testing the timing of the WHO again.

  You can convert the PDF to ppt or pptx by using Acrobat DC application.

  You can also change the PDF file to make 1 slide per page.

  In the print dialog box, you would get options to resize your document.

  Try them and see if that helps.

  Once you choose the print option, it would give options to change the size of the page you need.

  CS6 seems to have some difficulty to know when there is enough space. The simple solution is to the margins on the right and down the 0 value in the layout options.  And several record preview is known to be buggy. It is best to take a leap of faith and the merger without preview or cancel after you have previewed and before the actual merger.

  I decided to go completely of the word Pages (and also Excel to numbers etc.). It has been a long time coming, hampered mainly by the inconvenience of having a large existing collection of Word documents that I need to save to the format of Pages (and then manually delete the original Word file) then, or don't forget to export them to Word.

  So my request is simple: can someone help me with an Applescript or Automator workflow that I can point to a file or a selection of Word documents (or even a more containing Word documents and other files), which will be open them in Pages, save them up as Pages and then delete or ideally move to a folder on the desktop the original Word file?

  Unfortunately, my experience with Applescript and Automator is limited. I'm willing to learn, but I am writing here in the hope that someone might have tried this before. It seems strange that it is not a tool of migration there for people willing to engage fully in Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Apparently a lot of tools exist for ing the other way, but nothing for people so impressed with iWork they want to completely drop MS Office.

  The two really important parts of what I would be a lie to do is from the Save in place (so I don't need to re - drop everything) and move the original Word doc to a folder somewhere (so I can find it again if something had gone wrong and archive or delete it easily later).

  Any suggestions or pointers appreciated!

  Move your entire collection of Word to Pages document is a very bad idea, based on three years of posts in the support Pages community.

  • Pages is not a clone of Word and lacks most of the functionality of Word of professional level you will soon run out.
  • Pages is not guaranteed to open or export documents Word accurately with some features do not exist in both applications.
  • Pages never will allow you to open, edit and save Word documents in their native document architecture. Everything, including export is an exercise in translation of cross-your-fingers.
  • Pages will simply not open Word documents that are too old or too inconsistent.
  • No other application on the planet cannot open Pages v5 documents.

  Recommended alternative: 2016 Office for Mac.

  There are answers here to simply download the free LibreOffice, which is a replacement for MS Office suite. Even with manuals PDF LibreOffice, there is not a rapid mapping of your skills of Word/Excel for LibreOffice Writer and Calc. It has some of the best compatibility of Word and Excel documents, after these two applications Microsoft themselves. But there is a learning curve 'tax' to become proficient in LibreOffice, who skip a lot in their recommendation of it.

  It is a relatively simple exercise of AppleScript coding to batch convert Word into Pages documents, but the challenge you face is that Pages will throw a warning dialog box whenever it encounters a Word document with import warnings or errors. When this occurs, it interrupts the script which may intervene in the process of importing Pages.

  When I put printer in landscape mode, I get a grid of the month on the first page. It is not difficult to specify only print one of three if that's all I want.

  I just bought the HP Color Laserjet CP2025 and trying to print 2 powerpoint slides per page and FILL the page with the slides, without white margins that surround them with 2 slides shriveled in the middle.

  My Epson injet done automatically, so do the school library printers, I didn't know that it was not typical. It's driving me crazy, it is the Open box so I can't return it, but was still quite expensive.

  Is there maybe some software to printer out there who works with several brands of printers that can replace the link to printer properties in powerpoint with more options?

  Thanks for the reply! I was however able to find another solution as after my 2-3 hours of research.

  It's actually quite fast. Don't know how to type this out properly but I'll try...

  File > save & send > create pdf/xps document >

  After publishing go > zoom > fitscreen.

  These settings must now save to pdf file whenever you post, takes a few seconds to complete this entire process. Then of course they continue print two per page, etc.

  And as stated previously he is not completely without borders, but it fills the page MUCH better and he was much more accommodating to my needs (take notes on slides in the classroom).

  Hope this can help someone else.
