Resize the question of membership...

Hello

Forgive the noob question.

I've resized the composition, and is not resize the images I have that it contains. No problem, but then I select my images and/or corresponding items and then have to reduce.

Is there a way to select images/image/etc and manually enter a point size according to the size of parameters comp? For now I select the object, and then access the scale under properties turn and find a certain number of percentage best fits. I want to be more specific, perhaps use the dimensions of pixels instead of using numbers to percentages.

Thank you!

What you do: make the smaller original model, or making it larger?

To make small, simply make a small model, nest most original scale model in the new model and the model nested to adapt to the new scale model.

To make it big, there is a script that comes with AE that can do the trick.

And I have absolutely NO idea why you can't get the precision using the scale property as it is.  I don't think that I never heard that come before.  Your eyes must be much better than mine to see the difference between 23.42 and 23,43%.

  • I want my text box to resize the web page when you add lines of text

    Hi all

I'm new to Muse, I am quite familiar with illustrator and photoshop. My question:

I downloaded a model, and it allows me to learn and practice the muse a bit. I want to know how I can add a text box that automatically resizes the Web page when text lines are added. Currently my text box just go to the footer when I type. Which setting I have to look?

    Thanks to you all!

Don't forget your footer items are marked as a footer element and that your text box is not.

Right-click on the components and check or uncheck the footer element

Edit: I use Mac OS on a MacBook Pro 10.10.4

MrJW gave you a good work around in Live View mode.  But honestly, when I work with the reagents long pages, I saw in the browsers and keep them open while I do a few code tweaks.  Then refresh browser (F5 or Ctrl + R) to check my progress.  I almost never work without one or several browsers open at all times.

Right click > inspect element is another feature of good browser to use.

If you have Firefox with the Web Developer Toolbar extension, you can use Resize > sensitive view layouts to see the appearance of your page (s) on multiple devices.  This is a handy feature.

In addition, you can edit the CSS in real-time to see how it effects your work and lots of other good things.

I highly recommend the FF Web Developer Toolbar.  It's free. I use mine constantly.

  • Photoshop CS6 resize the dialog box showing centimeters instead of inches when leaders are set to pixels

Hello I have a problem with photoshop CS6 who is using my business. When I leaders set pixels in the preferences of my resize dialog box sets the document size centimeters. It also sets new records when the default value of centimeters. I need to know how to solve this problem. Should not act that way. I'm including screenshots of the questions.

    Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 3.59.07 PM.png

It's preferences where leaders are defined in pixels.

    Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 4.00.53 PM.png

This is the screenshot of a new document, set the default size of photoshop. As you can see instead of having the height/width and resolution set to inches centimeters by default for some reason any.

    Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 3.58.50 PM.png

And here's the image size dialog box. It back the same as the new Document dialog box. It defines the size of the Document in centimeters, even if the resolution is in Pixels/inch.

It's frustrating and I don't know why this is happening. I could use some help.

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! First of all thanks for the screenshots and a system of care.   You have done this a lot easier for me and after looking at my Mac, (Yosemite and CC 2014), I think I have a lead.

There are two ways to solve this

In the units and leaders, it is best to stay with the thumbs in the preferences.

You can set leaders apart to Pixels by right-clicking them, choose only the desired unit and that will stick. It won't change if it's a new document or a more recently opened.

The image size is a "sticky". Once you set in inches, he stayed.

Then there's the language settings. This could be a problem.

There are a few varieties of English: North American and International or the United Kingdom.

My North American English definition defines the default units in inches.  Assignment the default International or the United Kingdom, the metric system

The fix is North American selection in preferences and restarting. If you have Creative clouds you can install North American, or do a reinstall and select if you have a license permanent.

  • Resize the space Oracle ASM

    Hello

My use of oracle ASM database, I use the storage of DATA (data files and Archives...). my storage autour to be complete, so I want to add the new storage space (new hard disks).

So my question... on the side DBA is, something needs to be done? new hard drive then added to the disk group as fdisk? or the space will automatically be added to the total space?

My storage admin told me that it can re-size space on its side without doing anything on my side as a DBA, a problem this way? again is the same as for an old hard drive.

    Please advice,

    Kind regards
    Awad Awad

    There are two options.

    1. your store admin can expand a LUN, and then you can resize the ASM drive in the extra space.
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e18951/asmdiskgrps.htm#sthref282

    2. your store admin can give you another logic unit number. When you add this logic unit number to a diskgroup, ASM will automatically use and therefore to increase the size of the diskgroup.

My preference is #2. It of less work and less risk.

  • Resizing disk Question

    Hi all

I have a small question which I'm sure will be an easy answer.  I just want to be sure before doing this.  I have a server Exchange (VM) I need to resize the C drive.  I need to reduce it 90 GB to 50 GB.  Is there something I need to be concerned or any problems?  I shrunk the partition in Windows server 2008 now I need to resize the disk in the VI client.  Any info is appreciated.  Thank you!

    Perry

Sorry, not the version of the OS.  Yes, W2K8 has a tool for resizing for expansion and shrinkage.  I've never had the need to shrink, so I can't say for sure...

I don't know what will happen by changing just the size of the HARD drive by changing the settings of the virtual machine.  I would say that if you have a test of the virtual machine, try it on this first.

  • Snapshot before resizing the guest OS system partition, it will allow me to roll back if problems arise?

I currently have an ESXi Server vsphere 4.0 with Windows 2003 Server comments on that operating system. And just to be clear, this virtual machine is a control area on the network.

The problem I have is that the system partition (C drive on the guest operating system) is running out of room. I have plenty of room in the data store where the virtual machine, so I added 30 GB drive under disk space commissioning in additional virtual machine settings page. The configuration type is thick. So everything seems to work great so far, I see this space as unallocated within the guest OS.

After some research, I found several tools that help me to inresizing the system partition to take advantage of the additional disk space. Specifically, I intend to use the dell (ExtPart) DiskExt utility to resize the partition in order to reduce downtime. Apparently, this tool works without restarting the Windows machine.

My question is, if I make a snapshot before you try to resize the partition of guest operating system, this would allow me to go back and cancel any potential damage that resizing of disk can cause? I understand that I expected to be able to undo a change such as this with a snapshot, I just want to be 100% sure.

And no, I'm not trying to use a snapshot as a substitute for a backup. I do a snapshot to reduce downtime in case of a problem.

Any information on this would be highly appreciated.

I guess I over thought the process a little too, so I tested.  Works like a charm.  extended to the HDD via the vSphere Client, created a snapshot, ran extpart extend drive C:, delete the snapshot.  VM, although not a controller domain and just a test VM, is functional and happy.

  • Strange scale flash when resizing the div

    Hi all!

Since the new version of Flash Player, I had some problems resizing of the scene.

    The scenario:

I have a flash inside an html < div > tag application. The html div tag has width and height controlled by jQuery. In flash, I have

    this.stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

OK, no news so far. The content of the flash changes every 3 or 4 seconds. Because there are other elements on the page in the swf file, we decided to use the scrollbar of the browser to the page to roll. Then, if content is flash on height of 1200px, swf appealed ExternalInterface and JQuery will resive the DIV html at this height, so that the user can scroll the page and see the content.

It works very well, but that's the problem. When jQuery resize the div, the app flash "blink" and "squeeze" to many horrible ways until he is seated at the right size. It is "adjusted" for a few seconds. It is very fast, but since this happens several times a minute, turn things ugly, "buggy".

I made a video of the screen and catch some images in a GIF image, so you can see what is happening. The image can be see here:

http://ImageShack.us/a/img109/4255/flashreposit.gif It has 4 frames. The first is the initial state. When I put the HTML DIV around half of its height, flash goes through 2 strange scales, until coming to the 4th last final image, with the correct aspect and a correct report.

Does anyone know how to prevent this? This is really boring and use an internal roll flash is not an option on this project. Before the flash 11 I could freely manipulate the html div (which owns flash) without intermediate distortion.

    Thanks in advance.

Flash has a purpose which has simply changed. While it was perfectly possible to do most of what jQuery seems to effortlessly before, nobody was ready to take on the enormous task of differences between browsers with scripting. Only with the market standards browser is that it becomes possible. Flash has made this gap for a long time.

But that has never been the main purpose of flash. Flash is about the simple animations or sohpisticated, as spicy as you like. People who use it misused does not mean that it is the fault of the Flash more than WebKits bad scaling of the Flash plugin is. It's the fault of WebKits, no Flash.

With 3D on the rise, I feel Flash will finally debut as the favorite for the web content high-end multimedia engine. The difference between HTML and Flash should be the difference between YouTube and IMAX. Point being, you should be able to tell the difference, otherwise the author didn't use it for the purpose of the right.

You are welcome and if you all together can you please mark it answered so we can filter the questions without answer and good luck!

  • Problem with the scale/resize the masks

    Win 7 64 bit, CS5.1

This question relates to the updated scale/resize the layers with masks. I have a layer with a mask that only shows part of the image, so the majority of the mask is black. However, when I resize the layer (with linked mask), Photoshop changes the mask so that areas once black become white, except for the area around the part that has been hidden behind.

Below are screenshots of the before - after a sample mask.

    Before:

    mask-before.jpg

    After:

    mask-after.jpg

This example shows what happens to the mask using the Image > Image size of dialogue, which I would have assumed would fully respect the layout of the mask, but does not work. I also have the same problem when you use the transform tools. I also tried to change the permission of foreground/background colors to resize, just to see if it has auto-fill of the mask with white, but I saw no effect by changing or reversing the values.

I am hoping there is a single place or a preference to prevent this behavior and respect for implementing page-fill masks when resizing. I appreciate any assistance.

This is probably the reason why your seeing this behavior.

If you add a layer mask > hide all, or invert the layer mask if you are using a layer mask > show all (even just by clicking on the button layer mask), just use Ctrl > I (Image > adjustments > invert) to reverse the layer mask.

So you probably won't see this issue.

  • Problem when resizing the round objects

    Hello

I have a problem with the downward revision round objects.

    In summary, here's the question:

    round_corner_problem.jpg

As you can see when I reduce a cirle of size size B, upper side and left of the circle B are flat.

Why this happens and how to avoid it? It is really frustraiting when working with small objects.

    See you soon.

    Howdy.

The flats on the small circles is caused by anti-aliasing misalignment with the pixel grid when the circle is resized. You will most often see when resizing a shape with an odd number of pixels. You have one see below the center of the circle is forced off the pixel grid, and anti-aliasing is disabled.

    This is the actual size.

    What should do?

Before you accept the processing, move the circle to the center point of the circle is on the pixel grid. Use the arrow key to move around. Experiment. Move the center of the circle at different outside the premises of the grid before accepting the transformation. You will see all kinds of permutations of anti-aliasing. Choose one that is symmetrical. The focus should be on the grid. Then smoothing should be symmetrical. When the transform is applied, anti-aliasing is cooked in, and you can move back the circle to its original position if you wish.

Like Paulo and Noel have noted, the quality of the original circle antialiasing will notice when it is reduced to the size of the web icons. Any asymmetry in the original may be noticeable to a normal size, because it is only about one or two rows of pixels on the perimeter of the circle. A small percentage of assymetry on a circle of 300px. When the circle is reduced to 10 pixels, the asymmetry affects another one or two lines of pixels. And the circle goes PEAR because the assymmetry could be as much as 10%. My guess is that the OP is working with images that are a little unhinged to start.

There is much more to this, but it might help.

    Peace,

    Lee

  • Resize the image and maintain proportions

    Hi all

I'm trying to resize large JPEG images and maintain proportions. I actually managed to write the code, but it's huge, so I wonder if there is an easy way. The next question is about the image resolution. I resize the photos that are 600 and more dpi. Is there a way ColdFusion can resize and reduce the resolution to 72 dpi?

Thanks for the tips and links

tomtomtom wrote: And these thumbnails come in a resolution of 600 dpi

No, they don't.  The files have no IPR - one INPUT (and OUTPUT) devices have IPR.

Files have the resolution, depth of color, of compression and file format.

You mix up the quality of OUTPUT with the FILE data.

You have an image file which is 100px by 100px.  This is the data FILE.  The file has so 10 000 pixels of data (not much for a photo).

Now if you want the OUTPUT to a monitor at 72 dpi 10 000 these pixels will be appear in a box ~1.38 inches on ~ 1.38.

If you output to a printer at 300 dpi, it will appear in a box ~0.33 x ~0.33 inches.

The quality of the image file is the same, but the output determines how small the points are for each pixel, and therefore the size of the overall picture.

Things that affect the quality of the image file are how many points there are in the file (resolution) how these points are pressed (compression) and file (lossless and lossy) format and how many colors can be used for each point (color depth)

    horizontalCenter = red '0' = '0' / >

Looks like the interaction of Red/horizontalCenter with the add/remove scroll bars causes a loop.  Can you please fill a bug report and post the link here?  (Or let me know if you prefer that I have put it).

    The workarounds are:

    1. in the fitToWindow() method to subtract enough pixels to consider both sides of the border, for example:

    public function fitToWindow (): void {}
    IMG. Height = borderContainer.height - 2;
    IMG. Width = borderContainer.width - 2;
    }

    2. always keep the scroll bars displayed, for example:

    3. instead of use BorderContainer use SkinnableContainer/group and draw the border outside the container, for example:

    horizontalCenter = red '0' = '0' / >

Let me know if these solutions of workaround for the case also reduces work for your application.

  • resize the image in the Image element

    Hello

I have an element of the Image corresponding to a blob column in my data base. I store image files there, then I retrieve and display images in this point of the Image. the question is how can I resize the Image with respect to the dimensions of the part of the Image? Here is an example [http://img25.imageshack.us/i/photoadx.jpg/]. This image is larger that it is displayed, so I need to see the entire image in this point of the Image.
    How can I resize it?

    Thank you!

There is a Style property "calibration" for the image, set this "Adjust".
