Resizing the boxes

I noticed a small arrow in the lower right of some boxes where I can enter text. I played around with it a bit, but now I want to do all these boxes that I played with the return to their original size. I don't know how to do this. I could get incorrectly under options, but nothing helped. Any ideas?

  • Is it possible to resize the boxes?

I just made a table to make a start list for our RV... makes the list, nice and large and easy to read, but can not change the size of the box to match. I tried to treat it as the text and the increasing size, increase in the size of the table... I know this isn't a typical use of spreadsheet, but it is sortable, etc..

    Hi ' doc,.

Perfectly good use for a spreadsheet! Two of the models come with 3 numbers are checklists.

Box size seems to be fixed, no matter what size is set to the text, and no matter what size is set for the cell.

If you use the worksheet on OS X (on a Mac), you can use a conditional highlighting the rule to fill the cell with green when the checkbox is checked. Put in conditional highlighting is not supported in the version of iOS, but you bring up the cells in box a little more by using a contrasting color on the cell fill, and you can use the formula below to make the text (and possibly an emoji) appear in the adjacent cell when the box is checked.

... Or maybe not an emoji. I tried one in row 3, with the result of "syntax error" shown.

Tier 2 uses the 'black star' character, line 4 the simple text "YES!"

Line 5 shows the reault when the box is not checked,

Enter the formula in B2, insert your own text where the star is shown here. Fill down.

    B2: = IF(A,"★","")

    Kind regards

  • How resize the text box (box) without stretch text

Hello! I'm editing a brochure in Illustrator CS4. There are blocks of text. I want to make the same width. But when I enter the width, I want... it extends (or fun upward) the text. When I manually stretch the text box, it works fine. But I can't get exactly do this way. Is it possible to enter the width and do NOT have the text distorted when resizing the box? Thank you.

You can directly select the path (white arrow).

  • Resize the height of PageItem only

Just a quick. I know how to resize a PageItem using the resize method when taking a picture of the width and the height...

    pageItem.resize(CoordinateSpaces.pasteboardCoordinates, AnchorPoint.centerAnchor, ResizeMethods.REPLACING_CURRENT_DIMENSIONS_WITH, [10, 10]);

But how I resize in one direction. I looked at the documentation, but it is very confusing.

values: Data Type: table of varies

The width and height values. Legal dimensions specifications: {x, y [, coordinate space]}, {x, resize constraint [, coordinate space]}, or {resize constraint, y [, coordinate space]}; where x and y are real numbers and the coordinate space is used to determine _only_ the unit of length for x and y; coordinate space is ignored for the 'current time dimensions' resizing method). Can accept: table of Reals, enumerators ResizeConstraints or enumerators CoordinateSpaces.

    Hi McShaman,

    This should do the job:

    pageItem.resize(
        CoordinateSpaces.pasteboardCoordinates,
        AnchorPoint.centerAnchor,
        ResizeMethods.REPLACING_CURRENT_DIMENSIONS_WITH,
        [ResizeConstraints.KEEP_CURRENT_VALUE, 10]
        );

Note, however, that your code has exceptionally cardboard space, which means that you resize the framework encompassing focus on the editing table. Ensure that you really want this. (If your pageItem has a rotation applied compared to the editing table, for example, a rectangular shape will evolve into a parallelogram, etc..)

Usually, what you want is to resize the box in its own space (inside), that is, CoordinateSpaces.innerCoordinates.

  • Resize the search box and address box Win7

Resize the address bar and the search box in Windows Explorer in Windows 7.  I have the double arrow to resize, but nothing happens when I drag it.  I tried to unlock the toolbars, but this does not change the action.  My address is 1/4 the size of the search box and the strange looks.

Set your DPI up to 185, I set mine at 185 and the issue went away.  anything between 185-200 and the problem comes back.

185 is an acceptable DPI, just a workaround solution.

and a little faster than a SFC installation or repair, which solves the problem.

  • I want my text box to resize the web page when you add lines of text

I'm new to Muse, I am quite familiar with illustrator and photoshop. My question:

I downloaded a model, and it allows me to learn and practice the muse a bit. I want to know how I can add a text box that automatically resizes the Web page when text lines are added. Currently my text box just go to the footer when I type. Which setting I have to look?

    Thanks to you all!

Don't forget your footer items are marked as a footer element and that your text box is not.

Right-click on the components and check or uncheck the footer element

  • Dialog box options Type does not allow me to resize the text box, please help!

Hello - I use the latest version of Adobe Illustrator CC on Windows 7. I need to make a text box with columns to 32.875 w x 20 h. I use the text tool, draw the box at that size and then open the "type area options" dialog box to specify the column number, gutter width etc. and it automatically resizes the text to 13.888 box w x 13,889 h without fault. I try to type the right width and height in the appropriate space and I hear the windows "error". When I click on 'Preview' show me the box of text resized to 13.888x13.999 so I don't see what I'm doing. It's infuriating, please, someone else had this problem?

I checked the window of 'transformation' - and the 'blocking' to constrain the proportion of width and height is "unlocked."

I has a limit to the width of the columns that you have found. For the size that you want, you will need to do it manually.

  • Photoshop CS6 resize the dialog box showing centimeters instead of inches when leaders are set to pixels

Hello I have a problem with photoshop CS6 who is using my business. When I leaders set pixels in the preferences of my resize dialog box sets the document size centimeters. It also sets new records when the default value of centimeters. I need to know how to solve this problem. Should not act that way. I'm including screenshots of the questions.

It's preferences where leaders are defined in pixels.

    Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 4.00.53 PM.png

This is the screenshot of a new document, set the default size of photoshop. As you can see instead of having the height/width and resolution set to inches centimeters by default for some reason any.

    Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 3.58.50 PM.png

And here's the image size dialog box. It back the same as the new Document dialog box. It defines the size of the Document in centimeters, even if the resolution is in Pixels/inch.

It's frustrating and I don't know why this is happening. I could use some help.

Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 running on a Mac Pro mid 2012

Processor: 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon

Memory: 16 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! First of all thanks for the screenshots and a system of care.   You have done this a lot easier for me and after looking at my Mac, (Yosemite and CC 2014), I think I have a lead.

There are two ways to solve this

In the units and leaders, it is best to stay with the thumbs in the preferences.

You can set leaders apart to Pixels by right-clicking them, choose only the desired unit and that will stick. It won't change if it's a new document or a more recently opened.

The image size is a "sticky". Once you set in inches, he stayed.

Then there's the language settings. This could be a problem.

There are a few varieties of English: North American and International or the United Kingdom.

My North American English definition defines the default units in inches.  Assignment the default International or the United Kingdom, the metric system

The fix is North American selection in preferences and restarting. If you have Creative clouds you can install North American, or do a reinstall and select if you have a license permanent.

  • When you use the "Fill & sign PDF" feature, is there a way to stretch to resize the text box, to an area of the page... rather than through a long straight line...?

When you use the "Fill & sign PDF" feature, is there a way to stretch to resize the text box on a specific area of the page... instead of the text box is in a long straight line...? I do not see there is an option or the ability to do so, just want to confirm.

Improving the management of multiple line text fields is in our plans, but for now, you need to add manual carriage return (Enter).

    Thank you

  • Is it possible to resize the content of at the same time multiple bounding boxes by using number fields in the toolbar?

I'musing cs6 and need to resize an image and two text boxes on a specific pixel width.

I try to select all the boxes and punching in 960 px in the resizing of the toolbar field, but only the bounding boxes and not their content get resized...

Use the field of horizontal scaling (and include units) rather than the field width.

I have a portable desktop with InDesign CS 5.5 somehow my dialog box has become huge! and I can't understand how to make it even smaller. (see screenshot below)

I do not mind, so when I have my laptop connected and use the duel screens at the office, but when I'm going to work from home on the laptop, the box is larger than my screen.

  • Resize the text in a static text box size.

I have the following image. It's for the schools as a product of product/promo of fundraising.

I have green is the text box. I want to adjust the height of the text and width itself based on the amount of text is in the box while keeping a universal text box size. Is it possible to do? Unable to find anything in my research.

    Screen shot 2013-12-06 at 2.28.39 PM.png

The simplistic way to do is to put the text object in an envelope of distortion. Then the text automatically dimensionnera to the size of the envelope. If you want to limit the resizing of the text vertically or horizontally, put the right way (no outline or background) inside the envelope, as well as the text. The path will require the distortion, depending on its length and wheather it is vertical or horizontal. The text can be assigned as a variable.
