Resolution photo after editing

Change the resolution of the image when I export the photo with the changes using the photo editing edit function?

I scanned the slides at 600 dpi, then imported into Photos. When I export, the resolution is now 72 dpi (depending on the preview).

Short answer: it doesn't mean anything. The dpi is set when you decide what you print to the size.

Long answer: Dpi does not mean anything in the digital world of your computer. There is no "inches" for "points by...» "Size is measured in pixels. It's the same on your camera. He does not hit 10 x 8 or 6 x 4. It takes pictures measured in megapixels. For example, 4 000 x 3 000 is a camera 12 megapixels.

Using this example, as the this camera has 12 million pixels. This is how "Dots" are. To determine the ratio of dots per inch, you must now decide the part "inches". And that is the impression. 10 x 8 print and the dpi will be 4,000 / 10 or approximately 400 dpi. 6 x 4, then it is 4000 / 6 or 660 dpi. The opposite effect: print at 300 dpi and the resulting image will be about 13 inches on the long side.

Thus, your photo as a number fixed pixels. Change the dimensions of the print may vary the dpi, changing the dpi can vary the size of the print.

  • Lightroom automatically records photos after editing?

I just started using Lightroom with creative cloud and I'm very new to digital photography having just taken a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 for my birthday.  When you use Lightroom for editing images, it automatically records the image?  It overwrites the original photo?  If this is not the case, how to find where it is registered in?

Sorry for the noob questions.  Thanks in advance for any answers.

You can install the plug-in under Services to publish on Smugmug. Which will be synchronized with your Smugmug galleries. If you still have a record of what has been downloaded. There is no need to export to your hard drive.

  • Where can I find my original photo after editing to the organizer and the saiving it

I am brand new to photoshop elements.  I edited a photo in the editor and saved with a different name.  Now, I can't find the original image.  What happened to him?

When you work in the Organizer in PSE13, by default you will see a display of thumbnails where each thumbnail is enlarged without text, name of file or details.

It is a new view in version 13. You can switch the display mode to the old vision "detailed", where the tile is smaller, but indicated with the file name and details if you have enabled this option in the menu "view". To move, use the view menu or the shortcut Ctrl D.

When you have edited a photo of the Organizer, the new image you created is linked to the original, they are in a "set" version Only the most recent version is displayed by default. When you have switched to the 'detailed view', there is a small triangle on the right of the thumbnail. Click on it, and all versions will be displayed next.

    Is that what you want?

If you have created a set of version, a small icon should appear on the top of the page thumbnail even country in no detailed view.

  • Export of photos after editing? -Help please!

Hi all, first post and all that...

I recently started using lightroom 3, but I can't export my edited files.

I added the files to lightroom from their original location on my external hard drive, made the necessary adjustments, but I can't seem to get copies of my modified photos then.  I want to send to someone, but when I go through the process of exporting to a file on my desktop, they come out in their original unedited format.  I worked on how to export to facebook/flickr, but they lose their size and quality in this way.

I'm sure that it is something very simple, so apologies, but if someone could talk me through how I can duplicate and export my modified photos from lightroom to my office, that would be amazing!

On the Library tab, first ensure that you are. And then in the left pane, select the SERVICES of POST section, click just to the right of the text services publish. Once you see the drop-down menu, click the Manager text publication. Bottom left of the box, click Add, and then select the hard disk "VIA the SERVICE. On the right you will get options on the question of if you want your images converted to JPEG or another type of file, size, naming etc etc.   Once you do all the things you will see the drive created in the publishing section, you're going to drag all the changes you want saved in the hard drive, then click on publish and you can find the files in the folder specified in the options, hope that helps.

  • Cannot save a picture after editing: not enough memory [was: lightroom]

I can't save my photo after editing... it does not enough memory... yesterday, I found a button flatten the I could save... but now I can't find this button... Please help?

You have other programs running when working in Lightroom?

If so, their closure could help a bit.

But the real solution is to go get more RAM, 8 GB is considered a minimum for Lightroom.

If you have a 32-bit operating system, increase the RAM won't help, because an entire application can only access about 3 GB.

So to enjoy more RAM, you must have a 64-bit operating system.

  • Xperia Z5: How to return to the original photo after you save the cropped photo?

Hi, I wonder how I can return to the original photo after saving a photo cropped on my Xperia Z5. The cropped photo doesn't have a sufficient resolution so he could be put on a canvas, I want to return to the original photo before cropping. Thank you :-)

    Hello, troy_t!

If you crop the photo, the original photo will always be there. You can crop photos on the Album and then use Photo Editor. It is a standard editing program that is provided with your Sony Xperia Z5. If you crop a photo and then save the cropped photo, the original photo will always be there. I can assure you that if you use the standard Photo editing program to crop a photo, the original photo will always be there, even if it was cropped. You can make as many photos cropped the image you want to crop as you want, because the original photo will always be there, even if you may have saved a version cropped the image you wanted at the origin of the crops.

  • Aspect wide photo after you transfer the images from the camera

Original title - aspect wide photo after download

After you transfer the pictures from my camera to my PC, subjects are not as the original photo taken.  People who are really thin show also stubby. I used another PC and downloaded normally photos.  I used the photo of different programs, from Kodak, Roxio, windows Photo Gallery. I put my card directly into the PC with the same results. I tried to change my video setting and updated my NVIDIA card driver. Change the size of the photo doesn't do any good change just the measure of perimeter. I know that I can edit the photos, so people watching more thin but can you imagine doing that in every pic I take. I hope someone can help

I finelly solved the problem by playing with the resolution until I found the appropriate settings. How to change the setting, I don't know, but as long as it works I can live with that.

  • How to export a full size, full resolution Photos photo?

    Background:

I am a very literate Mac user, but have NEVER used iPhotos or Photos - initially because I didn't like how they seized my photos and hid in a place where it took an expert user to show me where they were.

Meanwhile, my cousin, who is 77, has all his pictures in Photos.  They were originally in iPhoto, but after that its database has become corrupted and all the photos that have been "disappeared": she spent several hundred $$ to Apple store for them to create a new database and search and restore all the pictures, (of course all its manifestations and albums "disappeared" in the process) she ended up with 6 or 7 duplicates of many of his photos and told to go home and remove duplicates that she tried to fol (its 3000 original photos became 15 000 pictures after the "repair")

During this time, she would be now as export a couple of full-size, full resolution photos on his desk so that she can download them to print.  Could someone guide me please for a quick and simple tutorial on how to achieve?  I may go beyond helping him do this tomorrow and could probably figure it out - but it would be great if a kind person could tell me how to do this for her.

Thank you and happy holidays to you all.

    Hi Pariseau,

That's what I do, there are probably other ways.

    (1) in the Photos, click on the image to select it, click the 'invisible' box below and type a recognizable title:

    (2) press ENTER, leave the selected image and pull down the file menu:

    (3) choose export > export then 1 Photo... (or to the Unmodified Original export... If you have changed the original and that you want to export an unedited version.)

    You will get this window:

You can switch between different file formats, but by selecting a JPEG quality and size will give you the biggest and least file compressed.

Under file naming, choose use title so that your exported file will have the name you gave it in step 1. Click Export.

    (4) you will then get a dialog box that allows you to choose the folder in which you want to export to, but crucially (and wrongly IMHO) does not allow you to name the file at this stage:

But you are good to go because you gave the image of a title in step 1, then choose a folder (office here) and go ahead and click Export.

This is where your photo will end up, and it should be the same size as the original:

Hope this helps, happy holidays to you too.

  • Lightroom saved unwanted XMLs after editing

Sometimes, after editing, Lightroom would either just directly save any changes I made to the XML sidecar files in the photo directory or it will display a small two-way arrow on the picture invites me to save changes to the file. I don't want to.

As much as I know, save editing changes to XML sidecar files is a feature that I need to activate. I don't think I did. Is that what Im missing?

  • After editing in LR, then export to ch, additional file editing, save a TIFF to JPEG file in Dropbox, thumbnails appear to be correct, but, as soon as I send the in an email, the desaturated become?

After editing my images in LR, then exporting to ch for further editing, then by saving the TIFF format to JPEG file in Dropbox, images of the thumbnail to look good. However, when I open them in a photo viewer, or email them, they become desaturated. With the help of Windows 10. Anyone know why that would happen? It does not occur when I change a JPEG image. This happens only when I edit a raw in LR, then export to ch and, further editing and change the TIFF to JPEG file type.

They will have to be registered to the sRGB colourspace, check the setting when you export for email...

  • Difference in images after edit

    P46A7230.jpgP46A7231.jpg

I was shooting timelapse, photos taken with the same settings and three seconds apart.
Images of .raw looked and was still. After editing, some differences have occurred. If you look at the background images. This is the way it should be. But the top image seems to have lost some contrast. This has happened to a few images. Why what happened?

If you look more closely. On the top of the images, you can see a few black undesirable object. This is my window. I could not open it no more, and the preserved wind move the frame of the window in my opinion. My floor is also a bit uneven, so whenever I went to check on my camera the inclined device. I come to stabilize and to crop images. But, the low contrast problem on the top of the page images seem to occur on the images when I stepped in front of the camera and created a movement. Still, the .raw image looked anyway. After is change what has happened. Shot in manual mode.

That's my analysis that the black window in the top frame is initially the difference in brightness between the two raw images even if exactly the same exposure of the camera and Lightroom adjustments have been used.

Toning Lightroom adjustments are a bit non-linear, that is, the content of the image indicates how things become lighter and darker.  This is especially true of whites, highlights, shadows, blacks and the clarity.

In this situation, the frame at the top of the window is a darker dark object that whatever it is in the rest of the image, then it keeps the obscurities of becomes too dark, as if she wasn't there.

It actually means that you cannot use shadows, blacks or the clarity with this sequence of raw due to varying amounts of black images.  The amount of clouds shading image will have also some effects, especially for clarity, but less compared to very dark or very bright pixels.

For this sequence of images, the best thing to do is probably the FIRST crop images and the same so that no foreign window frame shows up on any of them, and THEN synchronize your white balance and other adjustments without colors and other tones - Reduction noise, sharpening and THEN do an Export of images in 16-bit with a color profile of ProPhotoRGB TIF.  Reimport into LR and do your toning and color adjustments.  It does not crop the raw images, because the toning adjustments always watch all pixels, including those outside the crop area, not only the visible pixels.

RAWs and hair are not exactly the same thing in regard to the toning and color but you could start with toning bullies and synchronized with all hair colors settings and see if there are other adjustments.  Here is an example of my fact that when the first column of images are your two raw files with the same settings and the second column only being two cropped hair with the same settings.  You will notice that the Hill, especially the lower right, a different brightness between the two raws but the same brightness between the two objectives.

    --

I don't know which would cause the difference in color in the night photos, above, unless it's a slow drift caused by the sensor of the camera warm-up with the use and the increase in high-ISO noise and affecting some colours more than others.  If you see a slow drift then this is probably the situation.  If you see the color to random change it back between the different frames, it's probably something else that I don't have a theory without more information.  A random fluctuation in color between different images usually occurs at the inside with fluorescent lighting, because the color and brightness changing with the a/c 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency.  Cameras Nikon for a few years and the new cannons, detects this fluctuation and the shutter with the maximum brightness for each shot of a burst will look like the time.

  • The last version doesnot open new tab with google even after editing about: config

Until two days ago, that the new tab opened with Google.com. After the introduction of tiles in a new tab where the tiles with suggested sites are displayed, even after editing with subject: config, there is no change. Set in a new tab button suggested only the sites or blank page that crushes everything: config it seems

Firefox has tiles on the new tab from Firefox 13 page. But something has just changed: 41 Firefox no longer use the browser.newtab.url parameter in topic: config because he was constantly attacked by malware. From 41 of Firefox, you need an add-on to change the new tab page.

Here are a few options (I'm learning more all the time):

    • If you are already using the "Restorer of classic theme" or "Tab Mix Plus" extension: There is an option somewhere (!) in his dialogues of the parameters to select another page in the new tab.

Use only one of these methods at the same time, otherwise there may be conflicts and dysfunctions.

Setting up substitute new tab and new tab custom

After installing one of these extensions, you must use the Options page to set the new desired tab page (instead of use subject: config).

Open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a (Mac: Cmd + shift + a)
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the side right, find the new tab replace or custom new tab and click on the Options button. (See first screenshot attached).

    New tab Override

Depending on the size of your screen, you may need to scroll down to enter the address in the form. (See second screenshot attached). For example:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

Then tab or click this form field and you can test using Ctrl + t.

    Custom new tab

It is easy to enter your favourite homepage address. If you check either of the boxes, the expansion will set the focus in the page as well, for example, the cursor will be in the Google search box. (See third screenshot attached). I had to leave Firefox and start it up again before new custom tab started working, but this may have been due to tests so many extensions back to back.

    Success?
