Resolution problem screen after Vista NVIDIA driver update

I recently updated a Driver Detective driver told me that I needed.  It was for Nvidia.  After that, my wallpaper will not cover my office all & slides that I work on my powerpoint program are not full size.  I think that the pilot was Ge Force 6150SE nForce 430.  I have also recently trying to rename pictures in my photo folder, I kept getting a message on Nvidia Control Panel was not working.  I hope I'm explain logically.  No more I know about computers, I have probably no own business!  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

Then:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

See you soon.

I've never heard of this EDID you want to say, but you should use Toshiba drivers.
Because no Toshiba driver don t have the graphics card overheating protection can overheat. The graphics card may be damaged.

  • nVidia Driver Update: "Invalid access to memory location" error

Recently, I noticed that nVidia had updated the drivers for my GeForce 440. When I tried to install, I got an "invalid access to memory location" error and the installation failed. I thought that I still had operational drivers, then I would understand later.

Three nights ago Windows Update took on himself to try the update for me. He uninstalled the driver with success (which I didn't have to do it because of the above error), but has no installation. Following manuals to install attempts have also failed.
Looking at the window control panel programs and features shows that older drivers seem to be installed, but don't work do not. Also, attempts to uninstall fail with the same error.
Because I reinstalled Vista during the summer, and made no significant changes since then, I don't have a system restore point. Careless of me, I know, but that's it.
Is it possible to solve this problem short even after reinstall Vista or should I resign myself to a day and a half of reupdates?

  • Qosmio G50 PQG55A: NVIDIA driver - update or not

    Hello

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

The short question is, should I update my NVIDIA driver from 175,90 (as shown on the Web from Toshiba site) to the Version: 186.81 WHQL as suggested by the NVIDIA site.

    The long version follows...
My Qosmio G50 (PQG55A-04J01Y), running under Vista 64 Bit, crashes intermittently. It is sometimes good for more than a week earlier, sometimes once or twice a day.

I was quite thorough with virus and malaware controls.

Everything seems to stop, even if the mouse still works.
I have to turn off the PC, sometimes reboot Check Disk runs and corrects errors.

There are several ways to find and install the driver updates, but it's best to let Windows do it for you. Try the step below, which describes the process. If it does not produce a driver update that resolves the problem, try the remaining steps in the order shown.

    1. search the optional third-party updates
    2. try to manually update the NVIDIA Graphics Driver
    3. check the NVIDIA Corporation Web site for driver updates
    4. check the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer for driver updates

If NVIDIA Graphics Driver was preinstalled on your computer, check the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer for driver updates.

    > Short is, devrais I update my NVIDIA driver from 175,90 (as shown on the Web from Toshiba site) to the Version: 186.81 WHQL as suggested by the NVIDIA site.

Generally, you must use the graphics driver downloaded from the Toshiba driver page.
The graphic card driver from the Toshiba page has been tested and it s certified by Toshiba.

The common graphics driver nVidia is not designed for laptop and that's why these drivers don't support a protection against overheating.
    Driver Toshiba done!

So using the page nVidia graphics card driver can be risky and could overheat your GPU so the use of 3 third-party drivers is always at your own risk!

I have thin you should stay with the driver from the Toshiba page

  • Satellite L750 - card problem Flash after Windows 8.1 update

I looked at other threads in the forum, but each of them suggests to try drivers (function key) for other laptops, the only way to make it work now is to uninstall the driver function key; but the problem is the wifi and Bluetooth is still on after laptop start on stop or put into hibernation.

and please don't say that the laptop is not in the models supported for update,
I am really disappointed with Toshiba why they supported update of windows 8 and 8.1 not

8.1 is free upgrade all laptops with windows 8 should have drivers.
It was better to leave a total of windows 7 if they were not going to support the heart.

and another completely unrelated problem is that the DVD drive scans for disc every 10-15 minutes, even if its empty this problem was there from the first day on windows 7, after I installed windows 8 he stopped, but after upgrading to 8.1 that he came once again.

is there a solution to this problem?
currently I just disable the DVD drive from Device Manager and activate it when I need it. Sorry for the long post, but I hope you will reply thank you.

    >... but the problem is the wifi and Bluetooth is still on after starting laptop of closing down or put into hibernation
The same thing happen on my mobile Win8.1 supported so I m wondering there is problem for you. If you don't need WLAN just activate airplane mode.

Unfortunately on DVD scanning, I can't say much. I have two laptops with OS Win7 (factory settings) and none of them don't these scans. Did you install additional software that might be responsible for this? Do you use original Antivirus that you got with your laptop?

    Hello

Firstly, it must ensure that your wireless network card and your WLan router would support the Draft N.

Second, you should check if the project has been selected in the WLan card properties.
This, to check the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card

On my Qosmio F60 10J, I installed windows XP on a DD of esata, I found almost all the XP drivers. XP works well, now...
I downloaded GT 330 m XP drivers on the Nvidia site because the Web from Toshiba site, it's only for Windows 7.

I tried to change the options in the bios, but it's always the same problem.

    You have an idea?

    Hello

Seems that the driver is not fully compatible.
Try the www.omegadrivers.net graphics card driver
But note; Drivers Toshiba not in use ONLY at your own risk.
As far as I know, these 3 third-party drivers are not configured for mobile use and this means that the GPU could overheat and damage.

    Hello

AFAIK the Tecra M5 came with the graphics card Intel or nVidia.

On laptops with nVidia graphics card, you can set a different option in nVidia Desktop Manager. for example allow several computers to office
You should find it in the control panel.

Unfortunately, I put t know exactly where the parameters are placed in the nVidia Manager because this notebook was shipped only with Windows XP but I'm sure that you will find.

Any help in this would be very appreciated

    Hi RickL123,

What is you receive the exact error message?

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Step 2: start the computer in last good known Configuration (and also in safe mode). To do this, follow the steps below:

Access Advanced Startup menu options by turning on your computer and pressing the button F8 continuously until Windows starts. In the boot advanced options, select last good known Configuration-Safe Mode

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 3: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below, which deals with a similar question

  • 'Unauthorized change' Brown screen after performing almost any update

    Hello

A couple of years ago, I bought and set up a portable computer with Vista 64-bit for my sister.  His company was asked to use a particular printer that did not offer a wireless connection, if she bought a USB / parallel which required a proprietary driver (I think that the manufacturer is "MOSchip", but I'm not sure).  I downloaded and installed this driver for sound and after a few problems (unsigned driver and not really made for Vista), it seemed to work.

However, ever since then, anytime, she is trying to perform an update of the system, at the next restart shows a Brown screen informing him that he was a "unauthorized change" made its system and that it will have only limited functionality.  When this happens, the only way I found to get his computer to the 'normal' is to start in repair mode and do a system restore (which claims to fail but seems to actually work) back to the prior update configuration.  Accordingly, the system is currently blocked on SP1 and I'm terrified at the idea of trying to install SP2 or others updated.

My goal is: I want to move him to a wireless Ethernet bridge and get rid of any trace of the cable owner damned pilot, which I think has corrupted the kernel in a certain way.  I want her to be able to perform normal system again updates.  (Even attempt to update Adobe Reader led to the Brown screen.)  I don't know how to do to ensure that I removed all traces of the driver, and that she cannot afford to leave his computer in an unstable state.  Right now, the OS feels like the proverbial cards Castle, leaving me afraid to do something for her.

Of course, this is all complicated by the complete absence of Vista, the boot disks provided with the computer, so I can't even reinstall Vista (I don't want to do anyway, since everything else is set up for his company and relocation would screw everything).

I promise you that this is a legitimate copy of Windows, and I am troubled by the suggestion that these messages of "unauthorized change" I forged it, and any additional attempt to update may prevent the system from starting altogether.  There must be a better way that Microsoft could argue its copyright by disabling the entire system of legitimate users.

If you can give us the full error message, it would be a great help to help us. However, you can reffer the article if I guessed the problem of law:
