You can try a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Possible to restart some background process?

I recently had a newbie-accident: typed "stop immediately" on production instead of test db db. After a few seconds, I realized my mistake and abandoned shutdown.
    Alertlog file is:
    Stop background QMNC process
    Stop background CJQ0 process
    Stop background MMNL process
    MMON background process stop

Database runs normally for a few days, except that none of the planned work has begun.

Is it possible to restart the background process without restarting the database?

No, closing databases until the end and start it.

  • Restart the vRA Deployment Wizard 7

    Hello

I go through the installation wizard on the vRA 7 but for some reason that I had to change the account Windows that runs agents DEM and failed to connect to SQL DB, when I get to the section of the Validation Wizard to connect to the DB, in the newspapers that I see that it is still using the old account I ran the first time, that she was not.

I returned in the first section and entered values once again, disconnected and restart the device, but each time the wizard uses the wrong account.  Is it possible to force a restart of the deployment without redeploying the device?

There was a knockout at some point, but it was deleted:

    https://KB.VMware.com/kb/2143063

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Juan.

I had several questions like this on my initial installations, some of them finally solves themselves others never made. In all honesty is was easier to redeploy the unit to wait or try to solve the problems.

The first time I had to redeploy the device I took a snapshot immediately after the deployment of the device so I will base a clean image to return if necessary.

  • vSphere 5 How do I restart the syslog process

I have to change the location of the directory of syslog on one of my servers for vSphere 5 and got a strange error. Now the vmsyslogd process is not running. I tried the command "esxcli system syslog reload", but it gives just the error ' failed to report reload vmsyslogd'. I also tried service.sh restart, but it did not help either. • How can I disable the auto restart (following updates) for Windows 7 Home Premium (without messing around w / the register)?

Hello.  About all of the weeks I have my upload computer files from one day to the next.  It's a 17-hour process, and I don't want the computer off or restarted during this process.  Murphy's law usually results in an update windows & restart related happening whenever I put my computer to download said.  First of all, it is deeply annoying that windows would reboot my computer without asking me (Yes, I realize he asks you, and if you are away for an extended period, he just goes ahead and does it... but really, what the $#! % is the point of asking you if she goes ahead and that anyway when you get him just enough early?)  Wow!  Incredibly retarted the Windows for this.)  But anyway, how can I disable this for Win7 Home Premium?  (As if in the first place is not quite annoying, making it virtually impossible to figure out how to turn it off is like adding insult to injury).  Please NOTE, I've seen some other forum post responses on this site that is: (1) link to an information page on the group policies for system administrators, but nowhere does really explain where and how to access these policies and change them!  (2) has a process that begins with 'gpedit.msc' running, but when I started > box to search for this file, there is no result.  (3) the hacking the registry (seriously?  Please, don't.)  SO, please tell me how to disable the auto restart, step by step, without messing with the registry, for WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM.  Ideally, I'd like to be able to potentially re - activate cela in the future and/or switches back as my usage dictates.  And for the record, it's nut that's not a simple option toggle any, as when my computer or monitor sleeps...  Thank you!!

Thank you.  I'll do it and change my Windows Update settings.  BUT, FYI, in an act even more incredible, the same night I posted my question here, my computer was said upload, and I was still in place at 03:00 (when Windows is set to d/l and install updates).  I went to the kitchen for a bit and returned to my computer to find a countdown - he downloaded updates and "will re-start in 7 minutes" or so and counting down... I said "AH HA!"  I caught you! "I clicked the button of REPORTER and went to bed smiling that I myself had saved wasting many hours of work.  But when I woke up the next morning... HE HAD DONE IT AGAIN!  This means that it is: (1) downloaded another "critic" (cough) update later in the evening, which seems likely because it took to do this at 03:00 and had already done so... or (2) the REPORTER button defers only during a certain period of time (maybe an hour, or even less, by the look of it) and then do it again anyway.

This is ridiculous.  As it is not ridiculous to called 9 10 patches 'critical', so critical that an urgent restarting your computer is necessary EVEN IF HE is BUSY WORKING, the substitution of the computer user asks to postpone and reboot anyway is absolutely unacceptable.  How the manufacturers of Windows might think this makes sense, let alone was a good idea?  Reporter should make the computer restarts DO NOT until * I * say he is allowed to do.

In this case, finish the work of 17 hours, that the computer was in the Middle has been MUCH more critical that whatever is downloaded updated.  NO doubt about it.  I know.  Apparently, my operating system is not smart enough to know.  So to take it upon himself to replace my reporter application is crazy.  And in addition, the operating system MUST be smart enough to understand this - it's really not that difficult - if the computer is a lot of work, something intense, a download that is not finished, a sort of bar of ANY progress on ANY application which is not 100% yet, etc., it should be smart enough to WAIT to reboot anyway.

Thanks again once, change Windows Update settings so it will download updates but let me choose to install them, since this operating system is so poorly thought.

  • A system totally crashed after downloading the update of windows 7 (from VHP) reloaded vista starting the Dell restore partition and reattach the requirements. Now, how can I restart upgrade

OK, here's the deal... the Dell laptop had a recurring software validation fixed an error that I couldn't keep. I would fix it, Vista should go out and update itself and then I would reboot and bang, back right to the error again, I decided to scrap Vista and install W7. I corrected the error again once restarted in a stable Outlook, downloaded files of Windows 7 upgrade and then discovered that the netframework wasn't right, so I downloaded this solution, am to halfway through it and got a system error. HA! I'll just copy this download upgrade of the window on a USB key, hover over all my personal files on the usb drive, and reinstall Vista from the Dell partition, which I did. Then, I updated all the stuff with the Advisor to upgrade of windows, is gone in Windows 7 upgrade file I moved it to the USB and realized that this point in time, I was an asshole. What a breakthrough!  OK, now how to restart the upgrade process. I paid the money, done the downloads, message, so my hands, discussed and done all the other stuff I've done since the upgrade of Windows 3.1 (each time). Now what...

First I would contact the people who sold you download and see if they will send again free of charge - explain the problem.  I guess you still have the product key, they have sent you that shouldn't be a problem (it will work with any download the same version of Windows7).

Then run Windows7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your system can handle Windows7 or if she need for software or material removed or updgraded: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx.  Follow the instructions he gives as a result of the program (in fact, you should do this first - then you can deal with the download).

After that, you need to further questions in the Windows7 Forums: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads where people who specialize in the installation and upgrade to Windows7 will be more than happy to help you in the process.  This is a forum for Vista, and you need to talk to experts in Windows7.

    I hope this helps.

Good luck! Lorien - MCSA/MCSE/network + / has + - if this post solves your problem, please click the 'Mark as answer' or 'Useful' button at the top of this message. Marking a post as answer, or relatively useful, you help others find the answer more quickly.

  • drive CD/dvd starts less than restarting the computer with the disk in the drive

I had to replace my cd/dvd drive as part of a system of relocation. The new cd/dvd drive (actually a used unit gave me my IT dept at work) works very well except for the following glitch. If I insert a cd or dvd disc in the drive with the computer on, the disc does not start, nor the drive appears in the drives available in windows Explorer. But if insert the disc in the drive and then restart the computer, then the computer recognizes the drive and it shows up in available drives in windows Explorer. I ran troubleshooting and fixit, and they indicate that there is nothing wrong with the drive. On the Control Panel, Device Manager recognize my ATA driver and says it works correctly, and windows says my software is up to date ideas? Thank you.

You have a defective/sec connection, when the system is started normally the drive is not detected, when you put a cd in and then restart, the initial process of bios then detects the drive, is available when win starts finally

    Hello

You must add the disk to the /oracle file system. It seems that there is not enough space to extend the data file.
After the addition of disc, you can restart the recovery with:
ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY BASE DISCONNECT FROM THE SESSION.

    or

You can move your data undotbs2_01.dbf file to another file system that has enough space, that
    ALTER system set standby_file_management = manual scope = mΘmoire;
    change the database file rename ' / oracle/folder/undotbs2_01.dbf' to ' / new_fs/undotbs2_01.dbf ';
ALTER system set standby_file_management = auto scope is mΘmoire;.

    then start the recovery.

  • Cannot install Windows in bulk updates

After a major update (back to top), my computer will only install updates MS 131and I know there are more than 100 more, they have obviously downloaded but have NOT installed. For updates they show has failed, and in the updates installed, they are nowhere to be found. Does this mean "that they have been downloaded, but NOT installed?"  Because I continue to check the updates because I know they are NOT installed and it telling me there is no. To download more than 100 updates one is ridiculous, if it can still be done. After the update it downloaded 1.5 GB of MS updates and the other half has failed. I don't have a choice on my date of restoration, a mouse driver crashed, so the update was important. And the next day he downloaded more than 100. "Should I download these one? If Yes, I switch to Apple.

    Original title: amount of updates

    Hello

I've seen a number of messages about this problem, so I spent the evening reload an image of two year, perform a new installation of Win 8 who had never had Windows updates...

For the most part just out of curiosity I guess... and the fact that you mentioned 200 + updates that seemed much too much for me.

There were 109 updates for my machine. After installation of these groups, I checked once again more updates to Windows, and there is more than 18... A couple less than your total actually. And after checking again once there is no more...

Your total of 131 is probably correct... I think that you have a gap in your numbers it's because a lot of the first failed and redownloaded again.

If I go on my updates installed page, it lists 137, even if I downloaded only 127...

This is because some updates are 'Cumulative' who have more than an update of the package.

I don't know if I mentioned this in another thread or not, but don't try to do all the updates at the same time... It SHOULD work, but according to the actual updates, they can actually interfere with each other.

Especially if the .net Framework updates are included. .NET 3.5 in particular. This issue has been much come on the forum, and I'm little tired of repeatedly typing, so I wrote a few notes...

This is just my opinion, for what it's worth, it's here...

I just did a test installation 109 updates Windows in groups. All groups have continued the installation process even if they were supposed to be finished, and showed the RESTART...

You must run the Task Manager to see this.

I did thirteen .net Framework 3.5.1 updates totaled 206 MB. At least 20 minutes after the RESTART appeared several process continued to run.

Because I have an application that displays all internet activity, I have seen that Windows Installer would go several times, and when it ran, it would trigger a download of a certain type.

Two other processes that are running are Windows Module Installer and Windows Module Installer Worker.

In Win 7, they are called "mscorsvrs" and after you have installed a .net Framework update there are sometimes up to three who take turns running. The best I can describe their function, they're afflicted a compiler.

Even if the installation is supposed to be completed according to Windows Update, it is not. Not until the end of the process...

This is the source of many problems with the updates of Windows not... Over the years, I saw countless times in which an update failed after that these processes started to run... To the beautiful environment of the rest updates.

It's the sequence, I used to install updates 109 @ 1.22 GB on a computer where Windows Update had never been performed...

Group #1... @ 128 MB's malicious software removal tool and Windows Defender... Then restart

Group #2... Graphics, internet explore ActiveX

(Updates of seven first in the list before the .net start) 7 @ 188 MB...  Then restart

Group #3... .NET framework 3.5.1...  13 @ 105 MB...  It took about 20 minutes for the CPU go to zero before rebooting, as mentioned above...

Group #4...  .NET framework 4.5...   11 @ 162 MB...   It took about 45 seconds for the CPU to zero before the reboot even if reboot was not required.

Group #5...  Updates to security...   45 @ 105 MB...     Once again, reboot only after zero CPU

Group #6...  Important updates...  30 @ 419 MB...     Once again, reboot only after zero CPU

After installing the first 109, I checked for new updates, and 18 were found @ 579 mb. None were .net Framework... All were successful.

I actually did this process twice to check it again and with no failure... He managed both times.

BTW... I have 1.01 GB of updates of Windows to be 'cleaned '... This does mean that they have failed. What is cleaned is the old files that have been replaced and the left on the packages that are no longer needed.

Kinda like your TEMP folder where a large number of programs store the installation files... After a week, disk cleanup will allow you to remove...

  • Installation error code 0 x 80070570

Original title: PC keeps restarting and can not install windows 8

wgen I turn on my pc is on line goes to "watch auto repair" then too "diagnose your PC" then restarts and reapers that. When I boot through CDROM with installation disc windows can't install the ' upgrade medium because forcing me to start the PC normally may not do without restarting just constantly and how to 'custom' does not work because miss me a file "error code 0 x 80070570.

    Hello Jay,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

Installation 0 error code 80070570 x may occur if the hardware is not compatible, you can check if your computer meets the hardware requirements for Windows 8 from the link below:

    Windows 8: System requirements:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows-8/system-requirements

I suggest that you run chkdsk in Windows Recovery Environment [RE] that could help solve the problem.

You can access Windows RE using the Windows 8 installation disc.

To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.

    1. Insert the disc.
    2. Restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
    3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.
    4. Choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    5. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click repair your computer.
    6. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click on Next.
    7. In the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt to open it.
    8. In the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk /F /R
    9. Press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts. Now run the disk check in command prompt, follow the steps below:

You can also try connecting Windows Recovery Environment Memory Diagnostic tool.

See link: diagnosis of memory on your computer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Diagnosing-memory-problems-on-your-computer

(Information in the article also applies to Windows 8).

    Then, restart the installation process.
