Restart of Services' on ESXi 4.0

If I had to run services.sh restart ESXi server with the management of the virtual machine; How the virtual machine would be affected by this?

I do this to activate the mode not supported without having to restart the server.

  • How to restart the service 'Wireless Zero Configuration'?

    Original title: C:\windows\system32\net.exe restart?

I'm on a quest to find the one shortcut that will restart the services

like the automatic Wireless Configuration. as I looked, I found a few things:

We had to make a shortcut named stop connecting to: "C:\windows\system32\net.exe stop wzcsvc.

then make a shortcut named start connecting to: "C:\windows\system32\net.exe start wzcsvc.

There is a problem when you simply: "C:\windows\system32\net.exe restart wzcsvc.

It does not work. But why not? who knows?

I've seen a lot of programs with links on their interface.

I want to emphasize the link and 'ctrl + c' it in the Clipboard.

and then began to paste into word or something...

but when I go into services.msc it won't let me highlight the link to reboot...

Wow... ok another clever trick is fail to do this.

I know that if there is a link anywhere, no matter if it's on a Web page or within a program...

If he's going somewhere or doing something, there is absolutely no way that it can be done in a shortcut.

    so my question is?

instead of using a batch file or the two links (when some ppl just can't find the power button):

What command I would put in a SINGLE shortcut to restart the automatic Wireless Configuration when they ask me what to connect to?

  • Force the print to stop/restart spooler service when it does not

Our office has a HP plotter, where the driver (note that we have the latest version, directly from the HP site) seems to cause the print spooler service becomes out of order sometimes.  In turn of the programs (including AutoCAD and Outlook) to lock, as well as windows, as the dialog box, which causes devices and printers.

If I restart the 'Services' print spooler service in computer management, it goes back to work at least some time - if at least I can work around the problem.  It is important to note however, that even by using this method, it throws a dialog box error saying that the service failed.  But since this is a question with all facilities of this liner installed with Vista, I need to have a method easier to use of the service is restarted.

I wrote a file .bat base with a net stop spooler command followed by a net start spooler command, but the problem is that, unlike with computer management, net stop does not seem to force the service to shut down if it does not, and I can't find a way to force the stop command.

Is there a tool more powerful/switch available that I could script so that users can easily stop and restart the spooler service when it does not?

    Thank you

  • As an administrator why is it when I want to restart a service in the task manager that has stopped, getting the access denied.

Hi, it is listening the * out of me, if I logged as administrator how comes when I want to restart a service in the Task Manager which is leaning, I get an access denied message? Help, please. I shouldn't have complete control of my laptop?

For security, Windows Vista and later does not execute administrators has full administrator rights. In some situations, it is necessary to start the program that you want to use with privileges to administrator, right click and select "run as Administrator".

  • System hangs. After loading restart all services. Windows programs do not run

This is the third time that this problem happened.  I'm going to do something, it of to say today looking at the ESPN web site and all froze.  Even the clock froze.  I got power at the bottom and when not restarted all services are runnig.  When you try to start Access denied.  Printers have disappeared. Updates cannot do.  Care does not run.  It seems that does not load eveythhing.  The past two times, I did a factory restore and that worked but took 2 days to recover the data and programs.  Is there a way to solve the problem with the duty to do so.  Very frustrating.

Are you logged on as ADMINISTRATOR? Right click on the line BEFORE the opening of the window?
You can get ADMIN once it is open.

You uncompress the file and click on the bluescreenview.exe?

Use Safe Mode if you can - repeatedly press F8 - although this should not be necessary.

Of course start with a Windows or repair to manage the SFC, checkdisk and other methods.

My purchased 2011 Asus N53JF-A1 laptop running Win 7 Premium with 8 GB of memory.

I reinstalled Windows nine from recovery and installed the Brother printer driver according to the instructions

  • Restart the services of dimension without disturbing the live system

    Hello

    11.1.2.1

I am receiving messages - 'Could not connect to Server of the Dimension. Please make sure that the required services are started. "/" Year error occurred processing the result from the server. " ' / 'awb.dimeditor module required application is not configured. ' / 'awb.appmanager module required application is not configured. "- but who currently have a number of users by introducing into the planning for a tight schedule...

Is there anyway I can safetly restart the necessary services to the library size and connected functionality (applications, Manager of calculation Manager) to work without disrupting end-users entry?

that is what services do I need to reboot to recover the Dimension Manager and modify business rules - and can I do it without interruption of normal service for everyone

    Thank you

    Robert.

The error concerns the EPMA, so you should be able to restart the services EPMA and not effect the planning application.

  • How to restart a service on the host esx with vi toolkit

It is possible to restart the services esx (such as syslogd, hpasm hpsmhd) via a script Powershell uses the VI API?

I have a powershell script that calls plink.exe to do, but I'd rather not use plink.

As far as I know, there is no such API.

There is the Start-VmHostService cmdlet, but it's only for a very limited set of services (ntpd, sshd, vmware-vpxa).

  • Restaring Essbase OK without restart other services

I'm on Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 and I need to stop and start my essbase service and I was wondering if this is possible without having to restart all related services. I have the list of command to reboot when I restart the services space of work/RPT/WA/planning/HSS but wonder where Essbase fits into this list.

    Hello

If the SSP works you can restart essbase without worrying about other services.
Obviously you don't want users accessing data from other products such as planning, financial reports when you restart services.

  • Reload via Web Services with ESXi?

Is it possible to restart a virtual machine running on ESXi using Web Services?  I tried the sample code provided with the SDK, but I get an error. RestrictedVersion.summary. ideas?

PS. I also tried the scrip poweroff_suspend_vm.pl with the same results.

To use the API or remote CLIs with ESXi, you must have a paid license. If you use the free version of ESXi, you will not be able to take advantage of the APIs or CLIs
