Hello, if you get a lot of pop - up unsolicited it may be a sign of activity on your pc of malicious software. Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place and various other tools such as the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

  • Permanetely avoid pop bing upward at the bottom of the page, not just close every time that the page is re-open.

I hate this F * KIN bing pop up at the bottom of the MSN.com page and you want to permanently delete it, not just 'close' every time that the page is re-open. I have Windows 7 and would like to know how to do it. I'm not familiar with how to change the script or procedure to do. I Ad Block more and do not know what line of 'block' in filters. Help!

I use Firefox 21.0 and like MSN.com (except the cursed bing pop up) as home page.

The site requires cookies to store your preferences. If you accept cookies from msn.com, then the search bar disappears for good after clicking on the link close [x] .

If you want to block the search bar in Adblock Plus, put the following filter group "My masking Rules.

  • HP Extended Service Plan pop for Windows Vista

I can't stop this pop up on a user account. I can stop it on the administrator account. Task Scheduler does not run on the user account, it says I don't have permission, even if I act as an Administrator. There is a program to fix this problem, .mcupdate but the download files have been corrupted. This problem occurred after I had to do a complete reinstall. The pop up will then appear online or offline. The task manager can stop the pop up, but it appears again if the computer is restarted. The pop up is configured to appear every 30 min. change the trigger has not contributed so far.

I had some other problems with the computer and I finally made another reinstall from the partition on the hard drive. I then upgraded to windows and then offered an update from HP. Hello Barby,

The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe . When the Windows NT kernel detects that or the other of these processes has stopped, it shuts down the system and triggers the STOP 0xC000021A error. This error may have several causes. Among them are the following:

    • Incompatible system files have been installed.
    • A Service Pack installation has failed.

  • excessive use of svchost.exe memory

Operating system Windows XP Home Edition SP3

RAM 1 GB (just upgrade to 512 MB)

Atitvirus Zone Alarm Firewall/antivirus Suite Secruity

    Internet - IE8 browser

A classic computer session the process svchost.exe (System user), seen in the Windows Task Manager, will constantly increase its memory consumption until my computer slows to a crawl.  I've increased the RAM from 1 GB to compensate and now amseeing a much bigger memory usage by the process - up to 250 MB!  I tried to end the task and restart the bulk of the process svchost manages but have been unable to isolate the subtask that causes excessive memory consumption.  This has the advantage of reducing the consumption of RAM temporarily, but in half an hour or so consumption of memory is way up again.

I repeatedly ran some virus scans by Zone Alarm (currently being updated), Malwarebytes "Anti-malware", "Search and Destroy" Spybot and SuperAntiSpyWare 4.9 nothing done.  I have IE8 configured to avoid pop ups and have blocked most of the cookies.

What can I do to manage the svchost process to stop the runaway memory usage?

    Chaos_Edit,

Of course, you were correct.  I downloaded the latest version of MS MSRT last Thursday (v 3.9.3901.0) and he discovered the Alureon virus.  He "partially" deleted and recommended I run a full scan using anti-virus software.  I ran my Checkpoint/Zone Alarm antivirus-Super-scan and it finally detected and quaranteed the virus.  Since then, my svchost.exe program slept about 25 MB memory usage.

What intrigues me (or mind depending on my mood) is that this evidentlly virus exists since 2006 and still my anti-virus for Checkpoint/Zone Alarm, Malwaretytes Anti-Malware and SuperAntiSpyware all failed to find it.  I ran great/deep scans using the latest versions of each of these software products every night for the last month.  My ZA product is set to check and download updates every evening before the scan in depth.

In addition, I started to download HitmanPro to discover that he wanted to maintain a direct link to my computer.  Probably not in my interest.

  • A freezing Storm blackBerry smartphones... help!

I'm a convert of Treo in the world of BlackBerry and I thought that the storm is the way to do it.  In any case, after getting the telephone, connected to my corporate email server and downloading some apps, I run on the problem where scrolling and tapping are just frustrating me no end!  For example, when you try to scroll through applications, it just freezes on me and won't do anything.  I can press 'End' and it brings back me to my home screen.  Then, I tried to get into the phone to call Verizon to see if I could get help.  hen tapping/press the 'Contacts' icon, nothing happens.  OK, press harder.  Still nada!  OK, so I'll just type the number manually.  I press the 1 and 5 rises.  I press the 1 and 5 another appears.  I try to change where I am pressing on in the hope that I can get a 1 appears on the screen.  Nothing!  I had 3 seconds to throw this thing out the window.  I know that the BlackBerry is far superior than the Palm Treo but I want to tell you, I was contemplating going back to Palm.  I don't want to give up and hope that there is someone out there who can help out me.  Thank you!!

    OK things more to check...

How did you leave apps when you're done? If it's with the back or on the red button, then the app is unable to close properly. Always use the BBKey and "Close" or "Exit" to exit the application when you are finished. Only if you have a reason to keep it running, you must use another method to exit an application. If left to themselves, many apps will remain running, and just like a PC, more you ask him to do at the same time, him more bogged down it will receive.

Something to watch - free memory of the App. Options > memory, check the free AppMemory immediately after a restart of batt-pop. Then watch an it... If he's dropping like a stone, then something is running for consumption.

You can always check what apps are underway into the BBKey - he will always phone, home screen, BBMessenger, Messages and browser running... everything else is an application that has not closed. Be very frugal with allowing applications to stay running.

You can also search the QuickPull... a version is free on the AppWorld. According to a schedule, it will be a reboot which is almost as good as a proper reboot batt-sweater. I have mine work every night at 1130 hours... longer, with the paid version (which I have), it will monitor the memory of the app and ask me if I want to restart when it reaches a set threshold.

The thing we want to avoid is an OS reload... who is the most radical, and we need to reduce the other elements of first possible causation (IMHO).

Give these things a try and report.

    See you soon!

  • R ad-somware-is there a cure?

"R-ad-somware" is my play-on-words for ransomware, due to recent events. I regularly visit and participate in a web forum hosted by Proboards, and lately (last days), the host redirects the active forum to ads that don't have that one active button - the button 'Install'-'later' visible on-screen or off button 'Cancel' or 'download '. At first, I could close the page/window/tab - there is no 'back' to the original page navigation, but close the page worked (meaning he had to reopen and close the session in the forum in order to continue where you left).

Today, the announcement that hijacked the page was for MacKeeper resumed, and as indicated above, there is no other choice than to download and install MacKeeper. I know all about MacKeeper and never click on any link to the distributor of malware or basically any "announcing" that appears on a Web page I visit, or in my email, etc. But not only does MacKeeper page won't let me return to my previous page / forum or close this window, uninstalled Chrome so I ended up having to force quit to escape. It was like ransom-ware without a request to call a phone number to "solve" the problem, or to download the 'hotfix' and pay hundreds of $$ for the privilege. In this case, the 'ransom' seems to be download MacKeeper and have your search engines have diverted, as well as any other bad this criminal organization for your computer.

I don't have a "user account" with Proboards so I can't even report it to them. I also followed the steps to check and clear all malware/adware software that might have been surreptitiously installed on my computer in the background... and my computer does not junk.

Is it possible to keep the garbage on a site web servers hosted in your browser hijacking? (Less outright from the forum who is affected and never visit again,?)

I am removing Chrome from my computer because it has serious problems-'flash plug-in' crashes constantly - and is no longer supported for my OS (10.6.8). I use Safari for the first time in two years because it caused me headaches in the past... but Firefox and Chrome are more suitable.

    Hello blick.

On 10.6.8 your options are limited. Many web sites does not work in this old version of Safari. Installation of the latest Chrome or Firefox, it's something I would normally say. More recent versions of Mac OS X / Safari avoid pop ups from hijacking your web browser completely.

You could try ScamZapper (https://sites.google.com/site/appleclubfhs/downloads/scamzapper-info) which was developed by another contributor albums here at Apple support communities.

  • Cannot change the homepage. The field is grey than above it.

It started with the last Firefox update a couple of days. The home page has been hijacked by Yahoo, and I can't change that. The two fields in the Start Option page are grayed out and cannot accept the changes. Restoration of Firefox had no effect. Also:

Despite the fact that I chose to avoid pop-ups, they reappear at a brisk pace, especially of nature that I am not interested to be disturbed.

    Help, please.

Y at - it all prefs on the topic: config page that were locked in the status column?

  • Remove the popups on my desk?

I have been doing the pop - ups weird on my desk at random times and do not know if it is some adware or what. Any suggestions? It is important to note that I'm not always with a browser, etc. When this happens and I have already disabled plugins on my browsers to avoid pop-ups. Whatever it is for the office pop ups? • After update Win OS is not genuine and my product key is not valid

    Hello

I have a Toshiba EA60 - 156 computer equium laptop using the preinstalled software. Suddenly after running auto-updates to update, windows think now its not authentic and my product key is not valid. After trying to check online, I was told to contact Toshiba after checking the key online. Online my copy is authentic, but windows still considers that it is not.

    What should I do?

    Iain

I raise reading Microsoft license Validation could be responsible for such messages.
This tool distributed by Microsoft through its Windows Update platform for some time considered the factory image Toshiba installed an illegal copy of Windows XP.

I think that to avoid popping up this message, you must remove this License validation tool.
I think that the idea is also to contact the service partner in your country. Maybe they have detailed information on this issue

  • last updated leads 2 force persistent ends: com.motorola.process.system and nfc

I received an invitation to be in the impregnation Droid Turbo 2 test. I responded to the survey, but I never got an update. Now, last night, I have the update when its released to the public and made useless phone. After each restart, I get pop ups, a saying com.motoroal.process.system stopped and the other who stopped services Nfc. both are persistent even after clicking on ok, it's immediately. I can't use the phone at all.

Should impregnation is obviously more test I go to Verizon store? I bought at Motorola.com, should I go for support of Motorola? given that I was invited to the trial of impregnation, can I put it on the soaking test forum?

    Where should I go?

    Adam Jones

    aka BaldyPal

I've tried everything. the com.motorola.process.system popup is persistent no matter what. mode without failure, cache deleted, factory reset, can't do the settings in two modes to a time zone change, or even disable the NFC (nfc close force won't go away).

I went to verizon, which in turn called support of motorola. They agreed to send in, reimage, then send it back. I will return to my X-Moto rocker for a week or two.

For the record, the two parties called it a known problem. that was not very satisfying to hear knowing they pushed the update anyway. There was a test of soaking, I've even been invited, I filled out the questionnaire, but I never had the update.

I would like 6.0.1 on this Droid 2 Turbo as soon as. I cross my fingers.
