Restore database HRCS90 question: until THE TIME which was before the RESETLOGS

People,

Hello. On December 2, 2013, I backed up my instance of database with RMAN with Oracle Linux 5 HRCS90. the backup of the database to run correctly. 2 files 'full_0doqhbqc_13_1' and 'full_0eoqhce9_14_1' are saved in the /backup_database_instance_HRCS90 directory.

Because my HRCS90 database has been damaged, I need to restore the database to HRCS90 until the time 02-Dec_13 when it is saved. I have run the commands below:

RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

Its release: complete the restore to February 11, 14.

SQL > alter drop database datafile offline 121;

Its release: alter database.

SQL > alter database open resetlogs;

Its release: alter database.

SQL > shutdown immediate;

SQL > startup;

Its release: mounted database. Open database.

So I can execute select * TableName off HRCS90 the database successfully.

Because the HRCS90 database is corrupted again, I need to restore it again on December 2, 2013. I have run the commands below:

In the directory/u01/oradata/HRSC90 /:

[user@linux HRCS90] $ rm *.dbf

RMAN > Connect target;
RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

Its output:

RMAN-03002: failure of the set command
RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS.

My questions are:

Is that mean 'UNTIL TIME' before the RESETLOGS? How to solve the problem to restore the HRCS90 database?

Thanks in advance.

you have run this on your system.correct source?

Try

    Dear friends,

    I'm picking up some time and I have used this SQL in my RMAN

    reset the database incarnation 1;

    run
    {
    until ' to_date (3 Aug 10 17:50 ',' MON-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') ";
    restore the database;
    recover the database;
    }

    and I get this error: RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS

    I thought changing the incarnation will solve the problem. I have only 2 incarnations, which is used after that the resetlogs which is number 2. So I now use 1 incarnation.

    How should I go about this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ok...

    Now, what you have to do: If you want to point at the time of recovery, you must have a valid backup plus archivelogs in order to recover up to the desired time.

    From now on, full backup is available for the time that you asked, however archivelogs not :(

    You must make available, controlfile catalogue and begin to restore, recover up to the hour. Then open with resetlogs option.

  • Restore/recovery of database HRCS90 question: psimage2.dbf

    People,

    First, do not use SET up to THAT. I have run the commands below:

    RMAN > CONNECT TARGET;

    RMAN > RESTORE database;

    The system is in place the error message as below:

    RMAN-06956: create the data file failed; Retry after the withdrawal of the /u01/oradata/HRCS90/psimage2.dbf of the OS.

    So, I delete the /u01/oradata/HRCS90/psimage2.dbf file and do not have a copy of it.

    I run RESTORE DATABASE and the psimage2.dbf file is re-created.

    The output from the RESTORE DATABASE command is:

    Restoration complete, duration: 00:15:54

    Finished restore at February 1, 14.

    Then I run the following command:

    RMAN > RECOVER DATABASE;
    Its release: WARNING: media recovery until all SNA 1947113. Finished recover at February 3, 14.

    Second time, because I need the database prior to 12/02/2013 when she has been saved, I run the command below:

    RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

    The commands run correctly and restore complete above.

    Then I run the command below:

    SQL > ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;

    His output: failure to change the db command. File 121 was created in the future of incomplete recovery. Data file 121: u01/oradata/HRCS90/psimage2.dbf.

    RMAN > RECOVER NOREDO of DATABASE;

    Its release: recover command failed. Data file 121 must be restored.

    121 data file is the u01/oradata/HRCS90/psimage2.dbf file. I have made sure the directory/u01/oradata/HRCS90/has rwx for all users and groups permissions.

    RESTORE DATABASE SET up THAT do not recreate the file psimage2.dbf RESTORE DATABASE while recreate the file psimage2.dbf.

    I deleted the psimage2.dbf file and cannot resume. I can't find the ORA-1248 by DBPITR article using a current controlfile (Doc ID 1558515.1).

    My question is:

    Any folk can tell me how to RESTORE/RECOVERY of database HRCS90 with the VALUE up to THAT in other way for example using the file command?

    or how to fix psimage2.dbf file that has been deleted by me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Congratulations! Your database is open so not required recovery (recovery database noredo).

    I'm glad that it worked for you. Since you open this database with reset logs, it is recommended that you take a Level0 backup costs.

  • Instalation Acrobat Pro XI month subscription problems, redirects to the evaluation version (which was before uninstaled)

    Hello world

    I have a problem with the installation of the Adobe Pro XI on my computer. I subscribed via cloud.adobe.com to a subscription to the month and paid Friday, July 18.

    A few months ago, I installed a trial version of Pro XI, which I uninstalled it before running the .exe of cloud.adobe.com. After the executable .exe 100% works, I try to access the app and I'm literally redirected to the Trial version window, which I was informed that, of course, expired a few months ago.

    I can't understand how to install the app, I don't have a serial number in my account, which may be a month - to-subscription month.

    I tried to contact by phone, according to the order confirmation email, but the phone number is not functional.

    Can you please advise on this problem with the installation of the subscription of the month at Adobe Pro XI I meet?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Alina

    There is one thing that you must understand to solve this problem. The trial software is not a different software. The system is not confused about this software to run.

    Test software and the licensed software are just the unique software. What has happened is that he does not know your license, then she came to a trial. He has indicated to your license, and he should be back.

    Since you have a subscription, hope that you just have to connect (from the trial version) to recover your licensed version.

  • Restore/recovery of database HRCS90 how?

    People,

    Hello. On December 2, 2013, I backed up my instance of database with RMAN with Oracle Linux 5 HRCS90 as below:

    SQL > bootable media. (HRCS database is mounted but is not open.)

    SQL > "exit";

    [user@linux bin] $. / rman

    RMAN > Connect target;

    RMAN > configure channel device type disk format ' / backup_database_instance_HRCS90/full_%0_%s_%p'; (backup_database_instance_HRCS90 is the directory to store the backup files)

    RMAN > configure retention policy to recovery of 360 days window;

    RMAN > set up automatic backup of control file;

    RMAN > show all.

    RMAN > backup database;

    Then database backup is running properly. The 2 files 'full_0doqhbqc_13_1' and

    "full_0eoqhce9_14_1" are saved in the /backup_database_instance_HRCS90 directory.

    Because my HRCS90 database has been damaged, I need to restore the database to HRCS90 until the time 02-Dec_13. My questions are:

    First of all, I have to delete my current instance of the database HRCS90 which is corrupt?

    Secondly, I just do the follwing 2 commands one by one to restore the database:

    RMAN > restore database;

    RMAN > restore database;

    Thirdly, the commands above 2 restore database HRCS90 in the 2 files automatically in the directory /backup_database_instance_HRCS90 on December 2, 2013?

    Finally, if the above 2 commands are not correct, how do I restore the database correctly on December 2, 2013?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    The control used when retrieving file contains references to files created after CAMILLE.

    It is possible to make a DBPITR using a current copy of the control file or a copy that contains files created after the DBPITR.  However, some additional steps are necessary to avoid the ORA-1248.

    Following article will help you.

    ORA-1248 by DBPITR using a current controlfile (Doc ID 1558515.1)

  • Question about the recovery of the incarnation.

    Hi all

    We tried to restore and recover a database and everything by doing this, we got the error RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS... We decided to recover the database in the previous incarnation, because there is no backup after opening the database in resetlogs mode. The database was in nocatalog mode. Now, one of our elders informed that because the database is in nocatalog mode we can restore controlfile sauvegardΘ thank you and go normal restore and recovery... Can it be done at all? My eldest has suggested that if we restore the old controlfile that there no trace resetlogs restore directly and up to the last CNS recovery is possible... Our knowledge is that after the previous activity and archivelogs resetlogs backups get unusable... Please help here to undestand that my eldest son is right or we are right and if so why? Thanks in advance.

    If you ask a question, give all the details that someone would need to answer including the version of your database, for example Oracle 10.2.0.4.Format your code using code tags (see "How do I format code in my post?" below). It is strongly recommended to first consult the documentation.

    In addition, be always courteous; There are different levels of experience represented. A badly phrased question is ignored better that flamed - or better still, help the poster to ask a better question.

  • Until THE recovery TIME RMAN fails on OPEN DATABASE RESETLOGS

    Hello

    I met general media failure a week ago and decided to recover my database to a point in time about two weeks ago. The RMAN restore/recovery part seemed to work correctly according to the newspapers, but my database could not open on the part of ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS.
    It's my RMAN script:
    RMAN > RUN {
    2 > SET until TIME = 27 July 09 ';
    3 > RESTORE database;
    4 > RECOVER DATABASE;
    5 > ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
    {6 >}

    To navigate in the alerts log, I think one my redo log group 2 is corrupt and the database fails to open when he met this group. 2 is my current group. I tried the command ALTER DATABASE CLEAR no ARCHIVED LOGFILE GROUP 2, but it fails with ORA-1624: file necessary for crash recovery.
    Why this file is necessary for recovery on incident so I'm restore to a point in time two weeks in the past and does not seek to roll forward modifications online redo log?

    I can't get my database regarding the EDITING phase; Therefore, I can't force a log switch. And group 2 being the current group, I can't let it go. I don't know how to proceed.

    Thank you

    Hello;

    In theory, it should work.

    "DUPLICATE recovers by default until the last archived redo log generated at the time the command was executed, or until one hour set with a SET clause up to THAT."

    Source - database backup and recovery reference 10g Release 2 (10.2) part number B14194-03

    Example of doc

    DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE TO newdb
        DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT=('/h1/oracle/dbs/trgt/','/h2/oracle/oradata/newdb/')
        UNTIL TIME 'SYSDATE-1' # specifies incomplete recovery
    ...

  • Move from PT8.52 to PT8.53 due to functional database HRCS90: PS user in the browser connection error

    People,

    Hello. I've been installing HCM and Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 with 8.53 PeopleTools.

    My OS is Oracle Linux 5 and database server Oracle 11 GR 1 material.

    Because functional data is written with 8.52 PeopleTools, I upgraded PT8.52 to PT8.53.

    Tuxedo Application Server boots with 8 process successfully.

    In browser: http://192.168.196.102:8000/psp/ps /? cmd = login, I connect using UserID PS and mypass but the error message as below:

    "An error has occurred. You can try to connect again. If your attampt fail, please contact your system administrator. »

    I followed the http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37306_02/psft/acrobat/PeopleTools-8.53-Upgrade_02-2013.pdf document and
    have upgraded the instance database functional HRCS90 for 3 times manually. But still the same error of the browser connection PS user.

    I checked the application server log file server current file APPSRV_1219.LOG which indicates the error message as below:

    File:/VOB/PeopleTools/src/pssys/prsmget.cpp a SQL error.
    Stmt #: 'MSG_EVENT_DATALONG': invalid identifier.
    SQL stmt failed:
    Select EVENET_NAME, HTML_FIELD_NAME, MSG_EVENT_TYPE, MSG_EVENT_DATALOG, FIELD_EVENT_TYPE
    of PSMSGEVENTS
    where PORTAL_NAME =: 1
    and PORTAL_OBJNAME =: 2

    The SQL error in the log file above current application server means that the functional database is not being upgraded correctly.

    My question is:

    I need to upgrade the functional database to help change Assistant. Can I use the functional basis upgrade HRCS90 to rerun upgrade scripts?
    Or: what do I have to install a fresh funstional HRCS90 database to run scripts to upgrade the help Wizard to change?

    Thank you.

    I'll try to describe the procedure for the last time.

    Start with a new installation of HRC9.0, which is delivered to 8.52 PeopleTools.

    In PeopleTools installation manual, started 7-2 task: update database to the latest version of PeopleTools, page 188:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E38921_01/PSFT/Acrobat/PeopleTools_8.53_Installation_for_Oracle.PDF

    skip the task 7-2-1: data cleanup, this is for PT8.47 and low.

    Task 7-2-3: the PeopleTools Tables system update:

    run the following scripts:

    rel853n. SQL or rel853un.sql if you install a Unicode database

    Grant.SQL

    Encrypt.DMS

    msgtlsupg. DMS

    storeddl. DMS

    Follow the steps in Task 7-2-4: update of database objects PeopleTools

    Follow the steps in Task 7-2-5: updated PeopleTools multilingual of objects (if you are installing a multilingual application)

    Follow the steps in Task 7-2-6: remove obsolete PeopleTools Database Objects

    Follow the steps in Task 7-2-8: change in the PeopleTools Tables

    Follow the steps in Task 7-2-9: migration of records of new storage space

    Follow the steps in task 02/07/10: update of system data PeopleTools

    Follow the steps of work 02/07/10: update of PeopleTools system data:

    skip the task 02/07/11: running of the PeopleTools Conversions

    skip the task 7-3: the additional Scripts running Data Mover

    skip the task 7-4: installation of a system of PeopleTools multilingual database

    Follow the steps in Task 7-5: VERSION running engine Application program

    Follow the steps in the 7-6 mission: running reports SQR

    skip the task 7-7: verification of the database

    Follow the steps in Task 7-8: SETSPACE running. SQR

    Follow the steps in Task 7-9: execution of Alter Audit

    And now your PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.53 application.

    It may seem like a lot, but it should not take you more than a couple of hours instead of weeks.

  • RMAN restore until THE SNA in DATA GUARD environment

    Hello

    OS = RHL5

    DB = 11.2.0.3 primary and 1 physical database paused.

    I have a huge request changes tomorrow and its possible that I have an obligation to RESTORE the database 5 hours back because the application.

    I think to be adopted following the method of the official documentation of the Oracle (untilClause):

    MOUNT FORCE OF START

    RUN

    {

    UNTIL THE SNA 1418901.  # The necessary number SNA will be used here.

    RESTORE THE DATABASE;

    RECOVER THE DATABASE;

    }

    ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;

    I will of course take Level0 backup tonight and LEVEL1 backup before the start of the work.

    My humble question is that: If this is the good method I adopt? and if so, then what about physical databases eve? Is that something to restore/recovery too? It is not required or waiting for database necessary to create again (which I'm afraid of)?

    Flash back is not enabled.

    Pack of thank you for the suggestion.

    Best regards

    You can enable FLASHBACK DATABASE on major sites and relief and set a RESTORE POINT before the migration of the applications.

    If you stop to redo expedition to the France, the waking state is the last SNA that was applied (i.e. 1001). If you need to return the primary SNA 1011 and then resume the delivery of roll forward, Eve can continue to 1002 from totally ignorant.  If you flashback primary to a SNA lower, say, 998, you would have to flashback the night before as well (997 or 998) until you can resume redo expedition to the France.

    See the Oracle support Note: how Flashback the primary database in standby Configuration (Doc ID 728374.1)

  • Backup Time Machine put on for the question of the judgment

    I use time machine - mac pro to 2008 - 1 TB drive with its own power supply - 500 GB of backups.

    Have had a few teething problems that don't seem to point to any problem-

    Before stopping - if I just saved all the files - I always ask a time machine backup.

    If I was just on the internet - I'm just asking for a backup...

    Anyway I've asked immediately rather than wait a minute--but with problems at startup - decided to wait for the minute - about 15 seconds in the time-out has heard that the drive reports the time machine was starting a backup, so I canceled the stop & waited until the backup is complete.

    So the question is if a time machine backup was cut by a stop - is there a point where it would cause problems with the next on power.

    (I noticed that on a power which had a problem - time Annex machine backup was for the same time that commissioning - and I had stop watch at the same time I started up the next day)

    Issues of time machine were related to my problems with Finder/Spotlight.

    I put the drive time machine in the private domain of Spotlight.

    A ran a disk check - no problem

    Went into the preferences of time machine and instead of just turn on--changed the drive -.

    time machine turned on

    forced a return to the top

    Entered time machine - deleted the backups of an IPHOTO library which had damaged (had deleted from the hard drive)

    Time Machine works fine

    It looks like nothing is everything
