restore the firmware for macbook pro 13 mid 2009

Hi all! This is my first time using the support community so forgive me for any rudeness and English summary.

I recently bought a used mid 2009 macbook pro 13 "with no disc on this subject, I installed a new empty 120 GB ssd drive.

I asked a friend and he has downloaded and made me a usb bootable with osx on it (lion). I instaled the osx and got the macbook running successfully and it was perfect.

I decide to update and went up el capitan wich sucessfully installed. After the update I tried it out, web navigation simple, when suddenly, out of nowhere the mac stop (much battery left and the led indicator to confirm) and has not started since... when I turn it on the led light flashes and it gives the s.o.s. beep (3 short beeps followed by 3 long beeps and then 3 short beeps) the optical drive made his usual looking noises of boot and the fan continues to spinning, I tried to remove the battery 10 minutes several times and nothing... I read a lot about the problems of ram tested with one stick at a time in the two slots and no improvement... bought a new pair of hynix 2 gb 1066 mhz pc3-8500 ddr3 sticks as recommended for this model and replaced the "old"... did nothing.

I have no original discs just the macbook itself and the charger. Also tried to boot from the usb drive... not good... tried to start mode revovery... nothing that the black screen and a beep sounds.

I did some research and read a looooot online and in discussions such as this apple and found it to be the sound warning for bad/corrupted efi rom (as opposed to the majority of people declaring it to be a ram issue) which needs to be restored or flashed... However, apple does not provide or at least I can't find a picture of recovery for my model cd special I know it's the macbook 5.1 (a1278 / emc2254). Is there any solution for this? Please help in some way that you can welcome suggestions!

Thank you

Then, you say at the end of your post, you say that it is a MacBook, but it is a MacBook Pro. Check which model you have.

  • Short battery life of the Macbook Pro 13 "mid-2009

My Macbook Pro battery does not seem able to last longer then an hour on a full charge. Initially, I set this up to the age and checked the battery status (ALT + click on the battery in the top bar icon), however it says normal. I have always looked after my Mac - full load battery and let it run down completely before recharging - so I don't know if it's just an age thing or another issue.

In addition, I had a problem for a long period of overheating, even when I use Safari. Using an application that I can see that it reaches 90 degrees celsius, it is worse. If I have a problem with my fan which is itself an overheating of my Mac and drain the battery?

I tried to use Apple Hardware Test (now D then it starts) but have had no chance to lift anything but the normal login screen.

  • What banking software is the best for macbook pro

I got my first Mac, a Macbook Pro. Yay!  Now, of course after more than a decade of use of MS products I am at a loss what to choose for my Mac. I buy MS Office in Outlook for Mac and everything's fine.

Now I need to figure out a banking software and comments drive crazy me.  As a long time Quicken user, Quicken Mac reviews are horrible. I wish Ms would bring MS Money, but it's not going to happen. Best software compared to what we have now. Even though I have Quicken I really don't like it.

So, I heard there are other financial software out there that can run on a Mac. I checked money dance but it seems that the conversion is a nightmare because a Mac does not support a QIF file.

I use this type of software only for personal use. I do not keep my investments or a budget on my computer. I'm just needing a simple online verification and the end of decent exercise software statement. I don't have to much to do because we do not fund a new society and the need to ensure the monitoring of loans.

I come to you in the hope that you all have this issue and that he can give me a helping hand.

Thanks in advance for your attention to my small personal problem.

I used the Mint (actually a Quicken product) which is based on the web. It has worked well for me. However, I don't know what the alert looked like.

I need to spend as little as possible for the best performance I can get...
These two looks great but as you can see that they have different prices and I don't understand what would be more practical to buy and why.
I hope you can help me decide which is the best alternative between these two and especially where is the difference!
    Thank you!

  • latest version of the OS for Macbook Pro 7.1

Dear users: My MackBook Pro 7.1 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2. 4 GHz, 4 GB RAM) works with 10.6.8 Snow Leopard OS, so, I can't put Java to its new version 1.7 or 1.8. This limits the compatibility with access to bank account and tax return to the Brazil software.

Should we or could I switch to the latest version of the OS, as 10.7?

Well, you're a 2110 so according to system requirements, you should be able to upgrade.

How much RAM do you have?

  • M880Z +: restoring the firmware is possible?

One of my technicians is stuck on a problem.  Another technology came out of his area assigned and thought he was helping to Flash the firmware on a dozen M880Z + while production lines have fallen for the reengineering.

A particular M880 has been updated to the version of the firmware 3.7.01.  This version is fighting industrial equipment that is connected to print production reports and build sheets.  I can't find anything that says that the update of the firmware is irreversible, but this one seems to be.

Nobody knows... Replaces the SSD enough or willingness to swap the trainer, too?   Is there a way to roll back the firmware without hardware replacement?

You can do a full clean on the hard drive that will scan all the firmware and then he reloaded from a USB key.

You might also be able to restore the firmware for the built-in web server, I have to look to see if it could be done.

If you are still problems next week I'll be in an office with a m880z and I can then watch the built-in web server.

  • What is the best OS for Macbook pro 13.3 mid-2010

What is the best OS for Macbook pro 13.3 mid-2010.

I am currently using OS X El captian and it's extremelly slow. Please tell us which is the best OS for her to be able to function properly.

    Thank you very much

    specifications:

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

    NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

The Snow Leopard is one of the more stable OS Ive ever used, but you won't have a lot of features.  Mavericks is in the Middle, has more features and is always quite stable. I would, however, try to reinstall El Capitan, or deleting some files to free up space.

    See you soon,.
