  • What happens to iCloud library after you restore the old library on Mac?

I have known problems with iDevices displaying thousands of 'new' images, even if they are all already in the library of Photos on Mac and on iCloud photo library, I posted on here also.

Through the various attempts to stop these 'new' photos to reappear again and again, I found myself with several copies of the thousands of images in the pictures on Mac and therefore in iCloud (i.e. they synchronized). Rather than go to the library and find it manually and remove these duplicates, I would just return the photo via Time Machine library to its prior state of duplicates. After I restored the local library there will be no duplicates and have much less images than what is in the iCloud, photo library.

    My question:

'Local library restored' rule and the iCloud library will correspond to the now smaller local library? Or all of the duplicate to my local library files will be synchronized? Put an another passerby, did restore Time Machine also "informed" (impact) the library to match the local library restored iCloud?

Restores the local library AND remove all images in iCloud and then re-upload a 20 K library to iCloud the only way?

    Thanks in advance.

First, you will need to erase your iCloud library in iCloud, I'm afraid, Pope, prior to activating the library restored as a your photo library system.

I only tested once. After the restoration of the library of Time Machine, the library was no longer recognized as the photo library of the system, even in the same location on disk. That caused the iCloud photo library to deal with the library as an additional library must be downloaded to iCloud. The library was merged to the existing library, so older duplicates have been removed.

  • restore the missing recovery program in d drive in windows 7

Soft recovery disappeared from the d drive in windows 7 on presario cq62-209wm.  How to restore the program?

    Hello

If you created your set of recovery DVDs, you to reinstall the operating system and software partitions all original - this procedure is described in the document of HP here.

If you do not have, or not to create these siscs, there are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

You may need, additional drivers and software are here.

  • Restore the missing applications after Time Capsule

I just had to restore my 2010 Mac Book Pro using Time Machine and a recent full backup on my Time Capsule.

There are a lot of important apps now gone, including the App Store, Safari, disk utility and many others.

I have considered installing Sierra to correct this, but cannot access the app store via Chrome or Firefox

I have all my documents, etc., on the Time Capsule so able to perform a clean installation of Sierra, if I was able to download

I run the front last Sierra OS, well that may not even check that, as clicking on 'about my Mac', produces nothing at all...

    Thank you

Yes, clean, install the OS then migrate your files using the migration wizard.

It's actually the best way to install an operating system.

And next time you want to make a backup that works... use a Chronosync, Carbon Copy Cloner or superduper etc.. Time Machine is not reliable.

  • Zoom slider and a padlock, in the missing library mode

Hi, compare the zoom slider and a padlock, in the library mode is absent from my main screen and doesn't appear in the second window, if this field is selected.  It's a change with LR5.6, or do I have to do something to select this feature?  I find the comparison function much easier to use on the main screen, rather than in the second window.

The padlock and the cursor should show on two screens, but maybe you have the toolbar hidden. Try pressing the button T a couple of times to toggle the toolbar.

  • At 2 this morning toolbars; now don't have only one. How to restore the missing toolbar?

Not very in computing, so here: this morning, I had 2 toolbars or a toolbar of level 2 showing the icons and descriptive captions, I created some time ago. I was the computer off for awhile and when I came back to it only the first toolbar (or level) showed. It have a button, I think, that allows me to add sites to the toolbar, but I can't see this button. I tried some of the suggestions given to others who have asked similar questions, but without success.

    That's great.

(Some other users report their toolbar Yahoo remains unchecked, but I hope that yours will be!)

    johnleer,
According the description, it sounds as if your display driver may have been corrupted and has returned to a default value.  I suggest you make sure you have the latest display driver on the site of hardware manufacturers.

  • How to restore the missing in Fusion 2.0 vmdk file

I'm under VMWare Fusion 2.0 using Windows 7 on an Intel Macbook under Leopard.

I recently had an accident and now when I try to start Windows using Fusion I get this message: "file not found: Windows 7.vmdk.» This file is required to power on this virtual machine.  If this file has been moved, please provide the new location... »

The problem is that the file is there and does not seem to be corrupted and I have no idea of what I need to do to retrieve the file.

I have no backup file. The log files are attached and screenshot.

As I am a new Mac user, if anyone has a solution I would be happy to hear it.

    Thank you very much

The attached file, Windows_7.vmdk.zip, contains a file 'Windows 7.vmdk' new created based on geometry for the disc in the vmware.log file.  Unzip the Windows_7.vmdk.zip (double-click on) to extract the file "Windows 7.vmdk" again and place it with other hard files in Virtual Machine package.

  • Teredo Tunneling network driver. How to reinstall the missing driver?

Description of the system: Vista Business; Trend Micro

I was getting an error (triangle) in Device Manager and could not update the Teredo tunnel network driver, so I uninstallled thinking she would be automatically reinstall when I quit and restart. Unfortunately, he didn't like that. The pilot is now missing and I can't go online (I use another XP PC to write this note). PS: If necessary, I can have access to another PC in Vista Business.

How can I go about restoring the missing driver? Thank you

I called Technical Support from Microsoft (paying). It turns out that this 'Teredo nickname Tunneling (something)"card network is not necessary.  I plugged in the RJ45 on another port on my router and rebooted the PC. I now get access i.e. connectivity to the internet. I checked the Device Manager. It is no longer a "Teredo nickname Tunneling (something)" listed under "Network adapters" network card in Device Manager and I no longer get an error message about the Device Manager.  Detective Conan.

  • How to exclude the missing files or library locations that are on a network backup and restore of Windows 7 Professional drive

How to exclude the missing files or library locations that are on a network backup and restore of Windows 7 Professional drive. To give you more information, I have photos stored on a network drive to the following address: Wirelessspace\LaCie\MyPhotoGallery\Family. This folder is a location of library under the images. Because this folder is on a network drive backup backup not file Wizard.

In addition, the following file locations is not found because they no longer exist. So why the backup wizard continues to look for and how to remove the backup set? I guess the error code following each line means simply that records cannot be found. Is this correct?

  • Restoring iTunes + Song of the missing links

I moved my iTunes from one PC to the other folder. The entire folder. On the new PC, after you install iTunes, I pressed shift and clicked on the icon to choose the correct iTunes library file.  Everything is listed, however, about 2 500 songs are not related.  I have to double-click on each song and re-pointer to the location of the appropriate folder.  It's 2 500 more 10 000.  Of course, if it's an album, once I found the first song, he will ask me to find the rest.  But it's album by album.  Always takes me hours to restore everything.

It happened the last time I tried this, years ago.  I was hoping that Apple would have improved the import feature.  Why random songs that are not related?  What can I do to prevent it happening again?

Second, is there a quick fix to sweep and relink all the songs of reverie?  Or do I still sit there and manually connect 2 500 songs?

    Thank you.

See make a library of portable split to the bottom. With your library in the correct form, it can be moved without any problem.

The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music directory in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. He peut then offers to try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media file under Edit > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location which begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details.

PS. the forum plays up for the moment. Copy and paste this link in your address bar to get the script: http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/scripts.asp#FindTracks

  • Missing files in the document library

    Hello!

So I got a few files in the folder my documents. I have them accidentally deleted/removed from the library and the library folder, so that the files are missing.

Is there a possibility that I could get back them?

    Thank you!

    I recommend you do this:

    1. Download, install and run the Restore of System Explorer. It's free.
    2. Set up a System Restore Point that is earlier than the loss of your files.
    3. Carefully review the records and files under \Users\Edgars. If or when you find the missing files, copy them to your usual files. If there are other files such as \HolidayPictures, review them too.
    4. Treats this event as a sharp reminder that important files should always be stored on two independent media, usually on the internal drive and an external hard drive in a USB enclosure.
