Restrict users/groups from AD in OBIEE

Hi gurus,

I went through several documents (Oracle and rittmanmead), and everywhere it says that when we set up AD and restart OBIEE, all users and groups in AD will be displayed in the administration console. But I have groups of 1000 and 2000 users. I'm not all groups of 1000 to imported.

Is there a way I can * select * which includes import from AD? I ask this question because only some ministries use our infrastructure OBIEE. Remains of 900 + groups in the Organization are not related. How I choose which groups/users to import?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Dan

Danny tries to query your ad using Directory tools to filter the based on group, and use it in the config.

Just in case you are going to associate groups of db using BISQLGroupProvider with ad groups?

  • AAA RADIUS authentication for the only user group

    Hello

I use ACS3.1 and tries to use authentication radius for all network switches in my company.

Meet the im problem now is how to restrict only a user group to access the connection/exec switches? It seems that all user IDS in my acs able to telnet (user access) to the switch (using their login credentials).

I would like to limit still from telnet by using their ID except administrator group.

Counsel on how this is possible.

    TKS!

The GBA, you need admin users in their own ACS group separated, leaving other users in their own group also.

Change the group that contains the users you don't want to give access to and under the heading of restricted access network (OAN), in "Group defined Network Access Restrictions", check the "Define based on IP access restrictions", choose "Rejected the call point" and enter switches in the table below (put a * in the port and address).

This prevents standard users authentication to switches. You can add all your switches in a group of network devices (NDG) to this, then you have to add that, in the section NAR rather than adding each switch individually.

  • The ACS user groups

    I have a problem.

We have 2 groups that are created in ACS, group 1: access Ganymede and 2:Radius Access group. Group 1 has the people that have been created on the server ACS itself. The 2nd group is dynamic to users who are enabled access through Manager users for domains. We do not want to have the 2nd group in order to access our routers and switches with their Accounts of Microsoft, they can now, at least insofar as, at the prompt to activate it. I wish I had 2 completely independent from the other groups. Our group 1 is used only for our administrators to have access to all of our network devices.

I'm sure some type of filtering or to a group of addresses IP could be implemented on GBA, but I'm not sure where, if this is the case.

    Can someone please!

    Thank you!

    Matt

You must set up Network Access Restrictions (NAR), group 2 to not be able to access the routers/switches to restrict.

Make sure the Group and level NAR is checked under the Interface of configuration - Advanced Options. Then go under Group 2, NAR section, check the box "Set IP access restrictions", select Table sets 'Appeal denied Points', and then select each of the routers/switches, using a * for the Port and address and add them to the table.

It doesn't matter that in Group 2 will refuse to authenticate on one of the routers/switches.

  • MAC 5.1.5 server has additional sides to users/groups. (bug?)

    MAC OS El Capitan 10.11.5

    5.1.5 Server

    xserver MAC hardware

I add user name and account in server 5.1.5. After a few users have added and little added group name. I check the list users and group and they seem good. in a few days later, I don't have a server change. I'm starting to capture more users. When I open the list of users, and I said ' WHAT *? Where * do they come from? "I like that ever before. I checked the list of groups. They have additional groups that I don't add them before as well.

Seemingly, however, groups and hidden accounts becomes visible.

My Question: Is it that I can hide back them as before?

These additional users/groups entered integrated system. Do not remove them!

They are normally hidden and you should be able to re - hide them by running Server.app then by going to the view menu and selecting "hide system accounts.

  • Problems creating "Restricted user" on Yoga 3

    Hi all

I just bought two tablets 3 Yoga for children for Christmas, and I'm setting them up before I give them to them. I want their access to him be a bit limited, so I myself put in place as the user owner of the tablets, and then I'll give them limited accounts. Or is the plan. :-) I have improved the tablets of the latest version of the firmware, so I should have 5.1.1.

I created a restricted account, with certain permissions, and then I switch to this user. But then, I get in a home screen entirely black. It's just the three soft keys at the bottom of the screen. Nothing happens when I press the triangle or circle, but if I press the spot, I get into what is usually the list of screens of course, but the list is empty. From there, I can start the Task Manager, but there is nothing on this list either. It is said that he uses however 433 MB of RAM.

So, it's a little too restrictive, looks like the only thing that I can use restricted user mode is the camera. :-) Guess this isn't really the intention, and there is probably an easy fix, so how can I I fix?

    Best,

    Kjetil

I found the solution to the problem myself, just display for future reference. Turns out that it was important the HPROF app was enabled... It's just weird, Lenovo should probably look into fixing that, but at least it's working now.

  • Add the user to the users group in the Users.ini file using c#

    Hello

Using a c# application, we strive to add/remove a user from the TestStand Users.ini file.

The CreateDeleteUsers.seq file in the samples of TestStand is used as a reference.

We have seen that we are able to add the user to the list of user help file

    engine. UsersFile.UserList.SetPropertyObjectByOffset (0, 0 x 1, newUser.AsPropertyObject ());

However, when we try to add the user to the user group, the sample file CreateDeleteUsers.seq said

    RunState.Engine.GetUserGroup (Locals.GroupName). Members.SetPropertyObjectByOffset (0, 0 x 1, Locals.User.AsUser.LoginName)

If we try to replicate this in c#, the API seeks the last parameter (which is LoginName in the CreateDeleteUsers.seq file) as an object of property

    engine. GetUserGroup (this.) GroupName). Members.SetPropertyObjectByOffset (0, 0 x 1, newUser.AsPropertyObject ());

This causes an exception of object reference when we run the application.

Please advise on how to proceed.

    Thank you

    Arun-

The members property is an array of string, so the 3rd parameter to SetPropertyObjectByOffset requires a string property object, IE. the user name and not of the user object. From the will of the user object error with '-17308; Specified value is not the expected type. ». The example should really be using SetValStringByOffset to be clearer so that you only specify the user name of the actual string.

  • remove the domain to a domain computer users group

I have installed a computer in the field and that you wanted everyone to sign on the computer. Our policy has changed and now we only want one user to be able to log on to the machine side comes from the admin I've added to the domain to this machine users group after adding it to the domain. How can I remove the domain users of a machine group already in the field, and I don't see the group in the list?

    Thank you in advance,

    John C Owen

In General, people who can connect to a machine (and are not administrators) are members of the group "users".  As an administrator, if bring you up a prompt window commands on this computer (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:

    net localgroup users

you will see the members of the group "users".  One of the entries will probably be:

    mydomain\domain users

where 'mydomain' is the name of your domain.

All you need to do is remove "domain users" group.  From a command prompt:

net localgroup "user mydomain\domain" / delete

Check other groups (power users, etc.) and make sure that "domain users" are not listed in groups either.  You can then add your unique user in the users"" group.

net localgroup users "mydomain\singleuser" / Add

  • Select a type of user account (for example, standard user, restricted user, and other types) on computer XP pro?

    Hello.

I have a question about how to select the type of user account for each user account.

I read that if I type 'control userpasswords2' term, it will bring up a window of hidden user accounts.  In this window, select a name of the user account and click property, click on membership group and it will show all the type of account you can purchase (including the standard user, restricted user, the other who has many other types)

Here is the link I read

    http://www.exnol.com/globally-control-and-change-all-users-passwords-in-Windows

Let's say my computer is XP pro and it is in the home (not domain joined ) working group. Am I able to set these types of accounts to my user account using 'control userpasswords2' just as I explained above?

I was wondering because I read in the microsoft help article or somewhere that it indicates that the computer must be on the field to be able to choose the type of account by using this process, I explained, and one account type you can choose where your computer is located in the Working Group's account admin or limited using the control panel then click on accounts of users... but other said it should not be on the field... I got confused.

I would like to try it myself, but I don't have XP pro computer with me right now, I'd appreciate it really if someone could help me with the answer.

    Hi greenyy,

If you are the administrator of the machine Windows XP Professional, you can use the command 'control userpasswords2' and access the list of user accounts and change the type of account.

You need not necessarily be on a domain, however, it may not work for some types of user accounts on a working group.

A test, you can try to change the type of account for user accounts & check if it works.

Reference: To change the type of user account

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.
