retrieve the time backup machine for new ssd internal

I had to replace my internal HD on a 2012 end iMac, so I went to SSD.

I had saved my first system and files in Time Machine before that.

What is the process of a) formatted internal SSD new and b) recovering the original of external backup Time Machine?

As I have to reseal the iMac just to make it work, I don't want to have to open it again to play with the new SSD!

Hope that you already have a boot USB OS X in hand disc (I always have a copy must have on hand).

Plug the USB into the USB port and Time Machine,

by key pressing 'option' as soon as 'chime' begins.

You can choose the selection of the boot drive.

OR

If your SSD does not start on her file (e.g. blank) - it should start automatically via the USB.

(a) - Yes, using "disk utility" - in the menu bar superior, to partition the drive (GUID) first

(b) then choose 'continue' to install the OS X - at the end, you will be asked few options - recover via Time Machine.

After the restoration, you can run a few updates so that the system will work like the old set up.

Most of the software should work, but somehow, some software required "activation key" again.

Those notorious - Rosetta Stone (language). -J' had to communicate with them, uninstall the old drive first.  Microsoft Office can be too fickle.

Make sure that OS X are the same version (you can't have 10.11 on Time Machine, try using the boot USB 10.10 disk) targeted installed OS X must be the same or more recent than the OS X version of the time Machine.  For example, if your Time machine backup contains 10.10, then you can either use drive start USB 10.10 and 10.11 for the restore process.

  • Retrieve the tasks and events for a Virtual Machine

    Hello everyone.

    This question may seem trivial to some people here, but I cannot make it work: I would like to use VCO to retrieve the tasks and events for a specific virtual machine (IN parameter). Can someone help me to do?

    Best regards

    As I said, it must create a collector by using the createCollectorForTasks method in VcTaskManager.

    The parameter of this method is an instance of VcTaskFilterSpec, in which specify you the object to filter (in your case, the reference entity VM)

    You will get a VcTaskHistoryCollector which can only be traversed by using the methods readNextTasks and readPreviousTasks.

    // Get TaskManager service
    var sdktm = vm.sdkConnection.taskManager;

    // Create FilterSpec containing vm reference to filter
    var filter = new VcTaskFilterSpec();
    var spec = new VcTaskFilterSpecByEntity();
    spec.entity = vm.reference;
    spec.recursion = VcTaskFilterSpecRecursionOption.self;
    filter.entity = spec;

    // Create collector
    var collector = sdktm.createCollectorForTasks(filter);
    collector.resetCollector();

    // Browse all pages returned by collector (10 entries per page)
    var taskPage;
    while ((taskPage = collector.readPreviousTasks(10)) != null)
    {
        for each (var task in taskPage)
        {
            System.log("Task: " + task.name + " -> " + task.startTime);
        }
    }

  • Creating a backup of the WIN7 OS only for new installation; is this possible? If yes tell me how please.

    Well, then I want to get a new drive hard but with a greater capacity. Mine is 320GB and I want to upgrade to 500 GB. I have two laptops and one I would like to back up the operating system for a new installation (for the other computer hp g56-130sa laptop) for the new drive HARD must be installed.

    Can it be done?

    Not for another laptop.  If they were the exact same books perhaps, but even in this case this is only a possibility.

    If you need to reinstall the operating system on your laptop, you have two choices.  The first and the best choice is to contact HP directly and try to get the recovery disc specific for this laptop.  The second choice is to buy a genuine Windows 7 installation disc.

    I suggest that you contact HP because it will be the best solution (and much cheaper).  If you are in the United States / Canada, give them a call at 1-800-474-6836 and talk to a representative for the recovery disc for this laptop.  If you are outside this area, you will need to go to www.hp.com/support to find contact information.

  • Trying to retrieve the RMAN backup in another data base (another physical machine

    Hello!

    I am trying to restore to a different machine with a different database. I created the database with the same SID, but the computer name is different from the other. All I wish to recover is the user data file and the main data file that clients use. I could not find the right way to do outside forums. Someone would be able to offer assistance?

    I did an INCREMENTAL LEVEL 0 CUMULATIVE database BACKUP; on node 1 and transferred the wallet and backups from node 1 to node 2.

    Any help would be appreciated! :)

    Thank you!

    but the dbid can be different. This is the error.

    You may need to restore the controfile of these backups first before you can restore files.

    in this case to do that:

    Start the db2 as nomount with your pfile file instance

    then
    RMAN target /;

    RMAN > RESTORE CONTROLFILE 'filename '; -"the file name is backups that you have copied the disk."

    can do the

    backup from the list; If the controlfile is restored then the info should be there already if not then you can make the order of catalog again recovery area.

  • Can I use the Time Capsule wireless for multiple computers without using it as a router?

    I am looking for an external backup for 2 computers drive.  I have a desktop iMac and MacBook Air.  I like the idea of being able to back up my MacBook Air wireless, but I need to make sure that it will work the way I need to.

    I already have a wireless router that works well for me, I don't need the time Capsule to act as a router. I'm just needing a wireless backup drive.  So, the question is, can I use the only time Capsule as a storage device for backup of wifi or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?  My fear is that the router service is not as good as the router, I currently have.  I live in a big House of 2 floors, making it very difficult to receive a strong signal throughout the House.

    can I use time Capsule only as a backup wireless storage device or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?

    Time Capsule need to connect to your router/modem existing using wired Ethernet wired, permanent.

    If you plan to use the time Capsule to back up your Mac with the help of the application Time Machine on every Mac, the Mac will have to save on the wireless signal Time Capsule for the process to be officially supported by Apple.

    While it is possible to turn off wireless on the Time Capsule and try to save it to your existing wireless network... and it pourrait work... but there will be no Apple support backup problems... so it would be a good idea to plan to use Time Capsule wireless backup purposes.

  • Airport the Time Capsule Configuration for desktop?

    I have an airport Time Capsule that I use for support and wireless connectivity to the top of my MacBook Pro.  I have a PC connected to the time Capsule of internet access to the desktop PC.  Is it possible to set up backups from the PC to the time Capsule?

    Usually the time Capsule storage drive is formatted for use with OS X.

    As the old time Capsule (Time Machine backups) are crushed

    by the software as they go obsolete or when runs out of storage space, a

    Backup of Windows files on the same unit would not be a good idea.

    If the 'PC' indicates that your desktop under OS X, then it would

    be able to make backups of the other Mac software Time Machine

    and the total capacity of the unit of the time Capsule may be mitigated by

    the addition of claims on this other machine for the ability of autonomy.

    What is the storage of Time Capsule? I'd look for a separate device

    backup of a Windows system; However if a Mac running Windows, it

    may be possible to set something up for its operating system, other backup players.

  • How to change the Satellite L670D-103 using new SSD 80 GB HARD drive?

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L670D-103 with a 320 GB HARD drive running at 5400 RPM which is too slow for me.

    So I plan to change this factory by a new SSD HDD to increase the performance of the overall system :)

    But as the SSD are expensive, I have only a 80 GB SSD.

    I built the recovery on a USB media and I want to use it to restore my system to the new SSD (I previously did the space needed to ensure that all data can be stored on my new SSD 80 GB space; p)

    Retrieving SSD partitioning new procedure is done without error, but when copying image to restore data to freshly created the partition, one not enough space error stop the process!

    It seems that the recovery procedure is possible on a hard drive that is equal or superior to the original size of the disk (320 gb).

    So, how can I restore mysystem on my new SSD?

    Thank you
    Stéphane.

    > It seems that the recovery procedure is possible on a hard drive that is equal or superior to the original size of the disk (320 gb)

    To my knowledge, you have different recovery options:

    (* 1) * recovery of factory default software

    (a) recovery to out of box state
    (b) recovery without changing the HARD drive partitions
    (c) recovery of a custom size partition

    (* 2) * "erase the HARD drive.

    I think that if you choose factory default software recovery of-> recovery to out of box state then the recovery would create exactly the same size of partition on the new SSD which were available on the 320 GB HARD drive.
    I think this might be the reason why you have received this message.

    Perhaps you need to choose the 3rd option Recovery on a custom size partition

    What do you think?

  • the upgrade of the disk sata hard to new ssd sata 3 disc 1

    I have Hp m9510 running windows 7 64 bit home edition.  The motherboard is ASUS IPIBL-LB (Benicia), my drive sata hard existing 1 running in raid mode.  I want to add a new SATA of SDS 3 as a new startup disc and leave the player sata 1 existing as a backup.  Insofar as the motherboard is built for sata 1, if I install a sata pci card 3 I will then be able to obtain the transfer of higher data rates of the new ssd without causing other problems?

    If your current configuration has a single disc, then your default would be AHCI.

    RAID stands for redundant array or inexpensive disks and requires two or more physical hard disks for the implementation.

    In this case the preferred configuration would also be AHCI. It's a SATA mode. (Advanced host configuration interface) His replacement is IDE (emulation) mode

  • By default the encoding UTF-8 for new notebook documents

    Short with the help of a third party editor, is it possible to configure Notepad so that new documents are automatically saved in Unicode without having to manually change the encoding every time default ANSI to UTF - 8?

    Typical scenario:

    -Start typing text without extended characters
    -Save the file: it is automatically in the ANSI format
    -Open the file again to edit, add extended characters, save again:
    Notepad shows you the extended characters will be lost if you confirm the save operation.

    The last message offers the possibility to backup and "save under" to choose UTF-8, but 1) it's very heavy and 2) with any of the extended characters, the files will always be saved in default ANSI.

    Windows will be really fully Unicode if the default Notepad encoding is always obsolete ANSI code page, but, even though I admit reluctantly changing default behaviours is sensitive for reasons of compatibility, should have at least a user option to select the default encoding for new documents, as other third-party offer , like Notepad ++.

    Currently, Windows forces me to replace the file associations notebook to use other text editors. Not a bad thing, given the bad set of features in the notebook, but it would have been nice to have this option in the standard operating system

    1. right click-> New-> text Document
    2. open "new document texte.txt. Do not type anything!
    3. go in "file-> save under...". "and choose UTF-8 slot" Encoding: ", press 'Save' and replace the existing file. Close the file.
    4 rename "New document texte.txt" to "TXTUTF - 8.txt.
    5. copy 'TXTUTF - 8.txt' to 'C:\WINDOWS\SHELLNEW.
    6. go to «Start-> Run...» "and the type

    8. right click in the right window-> New-> "String Value" and rename it to

    10. it's over.
    11 test: create document .txt (right click-> New-> text Document). Open and go to "file-> save under...". "and see the encoding is set to UTF - 8 by default. :-)

    Credits go to Robert Clemenzi and his explanation of the string "FileName" (and its links with the "directory") in the registry:

    NOTE: These steps are ONLY for create .txt UTF-8 new and blank documents. If .txt is already registered with ANSI encoding, it will stay ANSI when recording it next time - if UTF-8 is required (in this case), so it must be assigned manually.

  • How to retrieve the time UTC

    I am trying to retrieve time UTC how to get UTC time?

    or how to convert the current time in UTC?

    in java, I can use the time code below to retrieve UTC.

    Calendar cal = Calendar.GetInstance ();

    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat ("yyyy-MM-dd hh: mm s");

    sdf.setTimeZone ((TimeZone.getTimeZone ("UTC")));

    Return sdf.format (cal.getTime ());

    But in the time zone BlackBerry only supports "GMT" as an argument...

    So, how to convert hour UTC for the hour UTC or how?

    In my view, there is only a non-significant difference between time UTC and time GMT you will get from BlackBerry.  The time GMT is NOT performed by DaylightSaving.

    So I think you can use both you get System.currentTimeMillis () as the hour UTC, expressed as a value of type long representative milliseconds since 01/01/1970.

    If you wish to format it, then things start to become a little more complicated.  But you can create a DateTimeField and set its time zone GMT, and it will appear correctly.

Bell's response is to delete all messages.  There is no option in 'manage my storage' and the mail app uses 1 GB! This is not the case on my computer, so I think the problem might be with iOS 9.
