Return to the original photo in Camera Raw

With the help of Photoshop CS5.5 I am at a loss to find ways to discard all changes in Camera Raw and return to the original photo. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

PRH

It's pretty easy, just click on the indicated button and choose Camera Raw defaults.

I made a mistake in the treatment and want to return to the original photos values and repeat.  I looked for help, but found nothing.  How to bring back the original raw image?

    Laura,

Just click on any State below the upper story, and your image will then return to where it was before.  For example, suppose that you first of all to your image cropped, adjusted exposure, then adjust the saturation, then adjusted for clarity.   Your history list would look like this:

    Clarity Wo

    Saturation Wo

    Exhibition Wo

    Culture

    Import

Click Import, and your image will be returned to the State of origin - no retouching.  Click exposure Wo and the image will be cropped with change of exposure, but no change of saturation or clarity.  You can experiment and click on any State and see where you are.  However, if you click on a State and then make a montage, all previous States above will be lost.  In other words, if you click on the exhibition (in my example) and then make an adjustment of filling, Saturation adjustments and clarity will be lost.  Of course you can do those again if you wish.

  • Xperia Z5: How to return to the original photo after you save the cropped photo?

Hi, I wonder how I can return to the original photo after saving a photo cropped on my Xperia Z5. The cropped photo doesn't have a sufficient resolution so he could be put on a canvas, I want to return to the original photo before cropping. Thank you :-)

    Hello, troy_t!

If you crop the photo, the original photo will always be there. You can crop photos on the Album and then use Photo Editor. It is a standard editing program that is provided with your Sony Xperia Z5. If you crop a photo and then save the cropped photo, the original photo will always be there. I can assure you that if you use the standard Photo editing program to crop a photo, the original photo will always be there, even if it was cropped. You can make as many photos cropped the image you want to crop as you want, because the original photo will always be there, even if you may have saved a version cropped the image you wanted at the origin of the crops.

  • I downloaded the latest version of camera raw for LR. I LR4 and cannot import pictures from my new Nikon D750. Download said it was successful, but I still can't import photos.

I downloaded the latest version of camera raw for LR. I LR4 and cannot import pictures from my new Nikon D750. Download said it was successful, but I still can't import photos.

Lightroom does not use plug in Camera Raw. So download the latest Camera Raw did nothing at all for you. The only way to update or upgrade Lightroom is to get the latest version. If you have Lightroom 4 then the latest version of Lightroom, you have no additional cost is Lightroom 4.4.1. If the device you are using requires something newer that what is supported and that the version of Lightroom, then an upgrade to Lightroom 5.

  • Preservation of the original DNG without coating RAW original settings

I hope someone can give me some advice on the best workflow for editing DNG files after the conversion of the RAW format. Here's my problem:

I shoot all my photos to the help. NEF RAW format. I then convert these files to DNG using the converter Adobe. My main reason for this is to eliminate the use of sidecar files or use a central database to store the FIRST changes - I prefer the concept of 1 photo = 1 file. It also eliminates the possibility of forgetting to copy a file or the central database when moving files on new computers / hard disks etc.

My question is how you can record your edited files to DNG (for the white balance, exposure etc.) while retaining the original settings? I prefer not to embed the original RAW file as this will add significantly to the size of the file. What I would like to be able to do is open a DNG file, make a few changes, save the file (by accidental - do not create a DNG file) and then be able to return to the original DNG at a later date.

Is this possible? How many people work with DNG files with respect to the registration of the changes? Is it really a deal to save the new DNG files after each edition?

    Hoping someone can help!

    See you soon!

My question is how you can record your edited files to DNG (for the white balance, exposure etc.) while retaining the original settings?

You can't keep the original settings, because has not recognized. Following the conversion of the NEF to DNG you start without any explicit parameter, i.e. the value default settings in ACR apply (if you have not saved any setting again as 'default', then the 'default values default values"apply). The settings that you did behind closed doors are not covered by the DNG Converter (contrast, saturation, tone, sharpening, modifications of curve point, etc.).

There is one exception I know (is there more?), namely the white balance; You can return to the original setting by selecting As Shot.

  • I get an error message from photoshop cs5 indicating that my camera model is not supported by the installed version of camera raw. and to see the raw camera for more information help documentation

I get an error when I try to open my photos in photoshop cs5. the file seems to be a model of camera that is not supported by the installed version on camera raw, he said. Please see the documentation of camera raw for more information.

    What should I do?

Generally help > updates can do for you and it is important to get all the updates for CS5 in.

If it fails, update Adobe Application Manager and let me know how it goes.

You can find the update here: other downloads

  • Where is the file EXE of Camera Raw?

Since Adobe Bridge does not offer me to choose Camera Raw as a main program for photos, I need to set the path to the exe file to get my wish to open Camera Raw to double click on a photo and not Photoshop CS6.

I have a suite CS6 and impossible to find an exe for Camera Raw.

    Can anyone help?

Have you checked this bridge preference (Ctrl-K)?

An off-topic question... Lightroom has the same settings in Camera Raw in Photoshop/bridge?

As far as I know, the equivalent versions (for example 8 ACR and LR 5 or 9 ACR and LR 6) of Camera Raw and Lightroom have exactly the same features, although the controls are slightly different.

  • What is the latest version of Camera RAW for PS CS5?

I just updated my stand alone version of LR6 with the update of January 2016. Now when I export an image to edit in PS CS5 it tells me that this version of Ligtroom requires Photoshop Camera Raw plugin version 9.4. It's confusing me. If I've updated to Lightroom should not Camera Raw update as well and the version (I guess than 9.4) would be available for PS CS5?

When I open LR and look for updates, he said this is far as said Bridge. It Photoshop version 12.1 x 64 so how can I find the latest versions of Camera Raw for LR and PS compatible and install them on programs?

    Thank you!

    It's more complicated than that.

    • Lightroom does not use the Camera Raw separate used by Photoshop plugin. Lightroom has the Camera Raw engine built into its code base. When you update to Lightroom, all Raw updates are included in Lightroom.
    • Compatibility of camera Raw plugin varies according to the version of Photoshop
Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility
    • CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 6.7.
    • CS6 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 9.1.1.
    • Only Cloud versions are compatible with current versions of Camera Raw.
    • To use Raw files in CS5 which require new versions of Camera Raw 6.7, to open the import dialog in Lightroom and "Copy as DNG". Open the DNG in CS5.
