How I did it. I want to revisit this action. How?

To reset the import function-

Does Exchange not the selection above the miniature to 'Copy' - window "copy as DNG"

Do not leave it like that-

Lightroom is not force the conversion to DNG. In the import dialog box, at the top, is "Copy as DNG" highlighted? If this is the case, simply change it to the copy. • The DNG files CR2 format conversion

With Adobe DNG Converter, is there no way to automatically delete the original CR2 files because they are converted to the DNG format, so that I don't end up with two versions of each file, one with a CR2 and the other with a suffix DNG? I could not find this option in the preferences of a DNG.

    Thank you very much!

Not in the DNG Converter. However, if you use the DNG Converter to download your images from the card you can simply convert that they are downloaded. Then all you have to do is to format the card in your camera again. If you convert to DNG using Lightroom, after the images have been imported you can set your options to remove the original raw file after successful conversion.

  • Conversion of Canon. . CR2 files to DNG

I have what seems to be the latest version of the Adobe DNG Converter (8.6.0.254); but when I steer to a containing folder. My camera Canon PowerShot G7X CR2 files, it tells me 'no element doesn't match your search' and does no conversion. How can I convert this type of RAW file. DNG?

Thank you. I'm just trying to start using RAW photography, after several years of jPEGing. So it's back to JPEG up to Photoshop Elements 10, 11, 12 or 13 allows me to download/convert my photos and then edit them. Well!

  • Lightroom CC crashes when importing DNG conversion

All a few times LR crashes my whole computer after importation and I think that during the conversion to DNG. It is not every time, so I don't know what is happening. I copy as DNG on import from my SD card, I turned off to generate intelligent insights to import as well. Usually occurs with a couple hundred pictures or more.

It seems to import fine and get about 1/3 through conversion and blocking when it does. There are two status bars at the top left. One is the DNG conversion, and I'm not sure what the other is.

I have a Nvidia of 870 with 4 GB of RAM on it, but I wonder if it is a problem of GPU acceleration. That's the thing I think I could turn and see if it happens again.

So I think I knew what was causing it. (or one of two things, I guess I should test again one and then the other) I have a program called Infinit which is a file sharing application (a bit like dropbox, but without the storage... in fact I don't know where it stores the files, perhaps locally?). In any case, it runs in the Windows status bar in the background. When I leave, I did have a problem with the conversion of the DNG format since then. Questions of random weird program... The other option would be the application of Windows Home Server Launchpad which again, goes in the bin. I just don't not connect you with it, so it was still on that technically I guess so my money is on Infinit unless otherwise stated.

  • BUG? "Convert to DNG" is not to skip current DNG but rather DNG conversion to DNG.

I selected 50 k images to convert to DNG, NEF format. After the conversion of the DNG format, I chose it to remove the NAVE. Between the NAVE in the archive are DNG that were previously converted by LR during the import. QUESTION: I see the DNG files in the trash (mac 10.9.3) sense LR isn't jump the current DNG files, but actually convert the DNG format a new DNG then trash the original DNG. This must be a bug.

https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/u/37390809/DNG-to-DNG.mov [35MB] (action - select DNG, "convert to DNG", DNG is made and original thrown in the garbage)

OK - it makes sense that LR converting a DNG for a new DNG if it is

    (1) go lossless lossy

    (2) if the embedded JPG preview changes (xmp changes require the update of JPG JPG or incorporate the size has changed)

Hope that Adobe considers drugues the spec or conversion when "convert RAW files" is selected using the specification to check the flags that notes what state is the current DNG and compare with the given command so that DNG-> DNG would SKIP over files that are already at the exit of the target.

My current solution is to filter all simply my library for 'file type' = Raw and then apply the DNG conversion for this file type to jump all DNG files in my archive of shooting 200 000.

  • In Lightroom, after that I turned my RAW files to DNG can I delete the original files?

In Lightroom 5, after that I turned my RAW files to DNG can I delete the original files? I am fill hard drives at time (or so it seems) and I remember someone once telling me that after I converted my dng files RAW versions, I could delete my original RAW files.

    Is this true?

    Ideas?

    Entry?

    Thank you!

Yes, you can remove the original RAW files once convert you them to DNG. The only downside is that if you want to use the software from the manufacturer of the camera for a reason, so key information that can be used by the software manufacturer is deleted in the conversion from RAW to DNG.

  • The DNG CONVERSION FAILED

When you download the raw files from the Canon 550 d camera. The files can be found under the fingernails of the thumb, until images are entered in the record of the bridge. Once the files in the folder as .cr2 files is more available. I camera raw 6.1 downloaded, but this did not help. The error message I received after the images are downloaded is the conversion of the DNG format failed. How this can be resolved. The operating system is windows 7 pro and I have Photoshop CS5

I assume that you use the bridge Adobe Photo Downloader to download and convert files to DNG using the bridge, correct?

Have you installed the plugin 6.1 manually or by using the patcher/Installer?

    Thank you

  • Blue cast on CR2 to DNG conversion

I wonder if someone can explain why CR2 files from a Canon 1 d Mark II room a blue hard expressed during the conversion to DNG using the standalone Adobe DNG converter 5.5.0.97 or Lightroom 2.5 version. (see examples below).

Here's the test I did: I first turned a JPEG image of a grey X-Rite card using the White Balance automatic and then used to define a custom in my 1 d Mark II white balance.  I then repeated the same test using a RAW file and in both cases, the functions of the device as expected.  However, when I converted the CR2 files to DNG, they took on a strong bluish cast.

For comparison, I then did the same test using a Canon 5 d and these CR2 files do not show the bluish cast when converting to DNG.

Here is a picture of the thumbnails as they appear in BreezeBrowser Pro (activated miniature color management).  They look the same too in Adobe Bridge.  The first six thumbnails are the Canon 1 d Mark II and the second six of the Canon 5 d.

    Thanks for any help.

The only thing wrong with your DNG is that the built-in preview was created with WB set to something like tungsten, while DNG Metadata settings say As Shot for the World Bank.  How he got that way, you have to understand that.  I say this because both LR and Br show a brief blue Flash when the image is initially imported, then corrects it to the shooting as BM.  This means that the preview is bad, but the settings are ok.

I'm going to guess you had the DNG open in LR and clicked or synchronized to something like the tungsten to another image and created the DNG with the preview, and then corrected the WB in LR and then put up-to-date metadata DNG without updating the preview - can - be with automatic writing active XMP.

I suggest to remove the CR2 (and any associate DNG) library, removing any XMP and start by importing the CR2 with parameters As Shot and convert to DNG directoy W / in LR and see if you can make it happen, once again.  If understand you it, then tell us.  If you are unable to understand, so don't worry.  The CR2 and the DNG are ok and you can use them to create your color profile with the Passport software which does not take into account changes that you make to the DNG in any case.  Try with the software of my passport shows a non-bleu DNG with the green rectangles on the different places, so the DNG, itself, is very much, just preview is bad.

  • Lumix LX3 RW2 files to DNG

I understand there is a problem just now and he advises leaving the RW2 files as they were.  I think that the current state of the result RW2 files into a size much larger file during the conversion to DNG.  This issue is fixed in the 2.4 update or on the cards for a future update?

Sorry if this came until I'm aware of this problem is largely a deadline to Panasonic.

The problem only traffic that my knowledge concerns G1 converted to TIFF files. That being said, I "think" you can make reference to previous versions of Cr/Lr having to convert to DNG linear (treble the size). If this is the issue that you are referring to the good news is that convert the RW2, DNG files in Lr 2.4 now results in them being smaller than the original.

  • Can't converte my. NEF files. DNG

There are days, I bought a Nikon D3300 and started shooting in RAW format. I thought I was going to be avaible to import photos directly into Lightroom, but it seems I was mistaken. I googled and read some articles and decided to turn my. NEF files. DNG import them. I downloaded the latest version of DNG Converter for Mac (DNGConverter_9_6.dmg), but I could not select one of my photos. I have attached a screenshot where you can see that I use the DNG Converter and try to select the photos I want to convert.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This is because you can not choose the images unique to convert; Instead, you must select the folder that contains them.

BTW, Nikon D3300 is supported since Lightroom 5.4; What version do you use?

  • Lightroom does not recognize any of my file types [DNG / JPEG etc] and is unable to import? any ideas for a fix?

Lightroom does not recognize any of my file types [DNG / JPEG etc] and is unable to import? any ideas for a fix?

It's impossible. LR is a non-destructive editor and photo management. For her to not see images of the files would make it one of the worst of these programs tyupes.

So there is a parameter that you have screwed up in the import dialog window that prevents your DNG, TIFF, JPG, PSD, PNG, CMYK and film formats appear in the import window.

So show us a screenshot of your import window.

More than likely you have chosen a destination that has all the permissions read/write to your username.
