• Showcase / API - why the folio is not buyable?

  We build a custom showcase based on this guide HTML of the library by default DPS application | Adobe Developer Connection. The application is multi folio with subscription free iTunes, so I would like to see an option to subscribe. Looking at the code in the example, I see the display of a subscription option is conditional on (among others) the current/most recent State be "purchasable" folio. In a test of the application of our last folio version is returned with purchasable = false - does anyone know why this would be, I'm misunderstanding "purchasable"? Is this purely a function of the folio, has something to do with the iTunes user who has downloaded the application, perhaps? Is this something that I can make it work in our test application?

  Ah, it's a good question - do you mean iTunes Connect? If so I do not know, it is sent through our customer of Apple's account, if we do not have access to that.

  All our folios are free, as is the subscription, is so 'safe' search for what we expect the unique sign-up option, see if it is 'active' (I think that means that the current user is already subscribed) and if so, she presents to the user?

• If I update the folio files, how to distribute these updates transparently?

  All you have to do is go to producer Folio and click the update on the amended slips. Viewers will have noticed and on iOS will prompt the reader to apply the update. On Android and Windows Update will automatically be applied with no prompt.

  Some time ago, I created ten folios through an application multi-folio with in-app purchases for the Apple iStore, ran into some issues (which have been resolved by Bob Bringhurst, thank you once again) and now I want to develop for Android. The creation itself was easy, that slips are already online, but do not without falling on key issues.

  To define my problem:

  • The splash screen does not. Only, it takes as much space as possible and grows around a third of the screen. Is there a "fit screen" - box, I missed?
  • The graphics look "rough", naked pixels in a sort of 8-bit-look without the edges soft (or feathers), even if they are PDF. I can't convert them to JPEG format, because I use the same folios as I do for Apple.
  • The effects of the erasure of all overlays are also rough. Slide shows, for example, are punching through their content, without letting that images fade out in the next. Maybe it's important to mention: they were created through the slide show option in the Folio Overlay-menu. The same problem occurs with all the contents that appear and disappear. For example: If you activate a card with a button (i.e. telling the app, to pass the object to the empty state 1 in filled State 2), the application takes one second and the map appears hard, smashing into the window from one moment to another, without the bland smooth as it does on Apple products.
  • And after some time, a minute or two, the application crashes, leaving the customer blocked for a moment, before him eject to the main screen of his camera.

  So far, this is my problem. Honestly, I feel that I missed a few easy step, but necessary for the expansion of Android. Now, the look of folios as some pre-pre-alpha release an Android (with dull graphics and blocks every 60 seconds), while they work fine and smooth on Apple.

  I would be grateful for any advice.

  Hi in my world I'm not selling my Apps but their production for customers who need to turn to download for free because they are Corporate Brochures and newsletters and free guides.

  Then... If I buy the large single version of research free cloud and produce a brochure/portfolio should I notify my customer that they must pay these costs of bundle folio on top for their audience to download?   17 p has download?

  I can see he said the folio is free but do they really mean it I fear just don't to the land of my client with hidden costs.

  If I move to professional, that would mean I could publish to androids large but why make it difficult for small agencies and let them only able to offer ipad apps it's crazy!

  Folio unique means a brochure or a single download of this free booklet with one of the two packages.  I spent 3 hours looking for the answer I'm missing something!

  I hope someone can help it's superb but if 10,000 people download my free brochure of customers it could cost more than traditional printing? Is there a blocker which if it became merit to be published and downloaded at 1 million people is there a ceiling to stop it being downloaded?

  If you want to create one question app you can buy subscription CCM in which you can create apps one unlimited question. In CCMS, you can create app for ipad, not for the iphone and the andfroid. In CCM you need not to buy the bundle download .folio. Only paid subscription fees.

  If you are targeting Android and ipad & iphone, then recommend you buy DPS Professional Edition or Enterprise edition. In the present, you can create apps for one question and several questions. Professional DPS is also a monthly and annual subscription. This will include 5000 (annual) and files monthly .folio (250) with the first year of service. Once files .folio exhausted, you can buy additional group at any time on the Adobe store or reseller. Platform to pay US$ 495 monthly and annual cost you US$ 5 940.

• Sharing of the folios in Indesign

  Hi all.

  I am trying to share a folio with my teammate, so it can it review. I looked on the adobe site and it says you go to the menu in the folio producer Panel and there is a share button, but oddly enough on mine there is no, whem I go to the menu I get this. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

  You can share online via Folio Producer folios. Select the folio in Folio Producer, and then click on share. Those that you shared the folio with can log on to the Adobe Content Viewer and review the folios.

• How to prepare the folio for prior approval from Apple, but not visible on Android?

  Quite possible I just forget something, but it doesn't make sense to me. We have already active application in the App Store and the Google game, with a lot of questions for sale. Now we must prepare a special issue, which will go on sale next week or something like that. So I want to prepare the purchase app for prior approval. Now, we do not have full Folio, just one with a dummy cover.

  Martin, I've confirmed this with a tester. He said, 'on Android (Google Play), the customer will see all public folios because Google does not provide an API to check what is available for purchase on their servers. On Amazon AppStore applications, the folio must not be visible. »

  You will need to create a project in AEMM, and then use the Folio migration tool to migrate the folios (from classic DPS) to this new project.

  All folios migrated will be converted in the articles and ready to be used on AEMM.
