RGB values

Hello! I want to build a simple plugin that requires the use of RGB values, variables, and simple mathematical calculations.

I have experience in programming the C-based languages, but have never programmed in C before. I started to pick up some of the basics and understand how everything works. Since last week, I read the SDK and finally to the point where I'm ready to start writing the code. I changed my skeleton on behalf of my plugin example and am ready to go.

Here is my goal:

I would like to create a plugin, which, for each frame, adds red, green, and blue values for red, green and blue to the last image values and divides this number by two.

Until I get well started, there are a few bits of knowledge that I need (that I can't find in the kit of development or one of these forums) and those who are:

(1) how can I access RGB values, and how their assignment to a variable?

(2) how to perform mathematical functions of basic (addition and division)

(3) building out of the first question, how to create a variable and assign it a value. #define use for this?

If you have any other suggestions on how to optimize this plugin, or if there are better ways to do simple tasks that I propose to do, please let me know.

Thank you! Help is greatly appreciated!

Take a look at the projects in the sample in the SDK.

the "shifter" sample shows how to access the individual pixels and the

"checkout" example shows how to get images of point in time other than the

during image processing.

Bingo, yes of course since I LR working color space! To test, I converted a 0-0-255 red image with colour profile Adobe RGB in PS using ProPhoto RGB with the Gamma of 2.2. The RGB values are 222, 103, 46 or percentage 87.1, 40.4, 18.0%, which is very close to the values observed in LR (87.6, 40.7, 16.7%). As you say this is quite normal.

On the question of the OP with the Epson printer profile I suspect it's also normal because of the loss of gamut.  JasonBatley what Epson printer profile are do you use and what do you mean by "the colors look terrible? When you Soft proof in LR with the Epson profile more precisely what are "visually" see you it is different (not numbers)?

Depends on the topic and what you mean by 'white '.

'White' is a color named HTML and CSS defined as rgb (255, 255, 255) or rgb (100%, 100%, 100%) in the (#FFFFFF in hex triplet) RGB color space, but maybe it's not the color that appears for you as 'white' in a given topic. As noted above, the best solution is to use a web inspector or browser extension tool to identify the actual color applied applied to a specific component.

  • How to select a pixel, or the value of the pixels based on a RGB value, or a range of values?

Can Photoshop select a pixel, or a set of pixels based on a RGB value? For example, select all the pixels that are 5,6,5 or all pixels that are 238-248, 238-248, 238-248

    Yes.

  • How would you like non-destructive change the color of some pixels depends only on their RGB value?

How would you like non-destructive change the color of some pixels depends only on their current color?

Constraints: the goal is to avoid having to select with the lasso tool or any other tool. I'm talking about adjustment layers here, who would not need to select parts of the first image.

The input image has only a haldful of discrete colors: it is made of, say, about 10 areas with 10 different colors, alias 10 different RGB values.

The goal is to find a way to organize the adjustment layers and only pixels with given RGB value (for example) blue, while some other pixels with another RGB value data become red, etc. ?

I will then apply these to each image adjustment layers in an animation, to selectively change the colors.

If I understand you correctly, "Mix" so should work.

Here, you can target specific values/ranges in each channel, for the underlying layer and current standards.

  • The RGB values in the test are bad LR6 and LRCC 2105

When evaluating a file in LR, the test values are incorrect.  This has been documented as a bug in Lightroom CC Soft Proof histogram displays incorrect RGB values.  Everything has been done to address this problem?   If not, is there a work around?  If not, what are do you properly evaluate your RAW captures.  Our studio does not level beyond 5.7 LR

The result is this disconnect in RGB numbers are a bug in LR6. LR5 is correct, it is correlated with Photoshop and ACR.

Adobe knows about it. He is recorded as a bug and fix. It appears in the most recent version of LR CC (and therefore 6.1.1).

  • Displayed as in PhotoShop and elsewhere, RGB values instead of percentages

I'd rather see the RGB values displayed as in PhotoShop and elsewhere, instead of percentages. Is it possible to change this view?

It seems not to be. I found threads, topics, dating back to 2009 on the same topic. Switch to proofing and values change to the actual numbers.

  • How can I change colors of exact CMYK or RGB values?

I'm changing the colors to exactly the values CMYK or RGB with Lightroom 5.  I tried to convert the RGB, HSL code (since I couldn't find a place in LR to use CMYK or RGB), but when I enter in LR, the color is not correct.  Thank you.

Lightroom does not work with CMYK. So it can't be done.

I'm not aware a way to replace a color in an exact RGB value in Lightroom, Lightroom has only limited the ability to make adjustments "local."

  • How to read the Picker RGB values?

By clicking and dragging the image, a selector of RGB value window apppears. However, I don't know exactly what information it's display.

There are X and think I beliee is the resolution or the axis on where you are in the image.

Then there is RGB, which is obviously red, green and blue.

But there are HLS and then under that, RGB again and again, HLS...

Can someone pelase explain what it means and what they are used for?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Dezzy,

X and are indeed describe the position of the pixel compared to your actual image size. Top left is always equal to 0.0. Image HD, top right would be 1920,0

The two columns of values RGB and STL describe the image before and after the classification.

Discover the behavior by making a very obvious change in the. Look at the Panel, and then check the values in the color picker. If the offset allows you to transform the image all redish (45 degrees right / up), you will notice that the Red classified values is increased, green declined, while blue remains the same.

    See you soon,.

  • option to enter the RGB value and output on the image?

Long story short... we have thousands of images we need to gather information than RGB transfer us to an excel doc.  It is used to create a script that would automatically color - choose a certain position of pixel (500, 500) and output values 3 somewhere on top of the image (like a huge text layer)?  I'm looking for just a quick way to find the RGB values of these images without having to manually color each of them choose.

I would be grateful for any info on the subject.

  • % RGB values is no longer visible to the Magnifier tool Selection white balance

When you use the white balance selection tool in LR3.3 RC RGB values no longer appear in the Magnifier window while moving the tool around the image. The only way I can get the values to display is to stop moving the tool, then click on one of several keys (e.g. Ctrl or shift or Alt, or------, etc..) As soon as I then move the tool that the RGB values again disappear until I stop and again once, click one of the buttons.  He had worked previously in LR3 (? before I updated to 3.2 to 3.3 - in other words, the values would show all the time as I moved the tool around the image.)   Any thoughts on what to do?

    Thank you.

This is a known bug. It was found soon enough after 3.3 RC came out he has a chance to set at 3.3 was released in the official version, but you never know with certainty what will be corrected. All you can do is wait.

  • Anomaly of control button with the RGB values in the Info Panel

I was getting ready to do and UN - do by CMD - Z, I pressed down command and notice that has changed the RGB values in the panal Info.  The tool I used was the selection tool, so it was only by pressing CMD has been change tool.  I tried to move my pointer to different locations and by pressing command and enough course the bud of values, it was sometimes a little change of 2 to 4.  When I placed the pointer on a thin chain that the topic was the change in value was like 60.  Is the CMD key causing the pointer select a larger area, or something like that or is it just an anomaly.

Yes, pressing the command when the Selection tool or a pipette is selected does the picking area 5 x 5 instead of 1 x 1.

  • Export RGB values

    Hello

I am interested in analysis of scientific images for their content in color.  I have Photoshop, illustrator and Acrobat Professional.  One of these exports may value RGB pixel in an image as a file delimited text csv, prn, or table?  I need not XY values for each pixel. Wonder if it is easier to extra this type of information from the pre-vector-based formats of photoshop?

If Adobe products can do, is there a cheap or free software that will extract the RGB information.

    Thank you

    Ian

You can save the image as a BMP 24 bit uncompressed and then use a hex editor to get the RGB values. Not sure what the best way to navigate the line endings. I've probably lined up my image with two columns of color that appear in the image, then replace it, with the line breaks in a text editor. But I like hard work.

  • Get the RGB values of existing clip

    Hello

I'm trying to get the RGB of MC that is loaded in the main SWF file values. (This means that the RGB values are not addressed, getRGB returns 0.)

Does anyone have a solution to get the RGB values for existing MC on which setRGB is not used?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Rick.

    Hi Peter,.

the getPixel32() method works. The only thing I can't understand is the output of the function. I mainly get 0 as the output of the Web beacons (black fill, alpha 0 - set with new BitmapData()), but there are also negative values. The thing I've done is ignore all values <= 0="" and="" use="" the="" value="">0.

The code is attached (cut out irrelevant code, so there might be errors when pasted into Flash):

    Hi RothRock,

I have not tried to apply a transformation to the authoring tool, but who would probably work (in theory, it seems logical to me). But that would mean almost the same as the creation of vars with the values inside the imported MC. It's not easy to use because it passes for a minimum of 1000 MC who problably will increase rapidly. The MC will also be created by my client that does not have too much Flash. But as you can see, the code below provides an adequate solution.

    Best regards
    Rick.
