• Vista backup does not - restore error 0x8100001A

  My hard drive has been replaced, and I've tried using restore files via Vista backup and restore (Home Premium).  I followed the Advanced Restore from another PC, can see the backups, there are several dates of backup choice, but I get 0x8100001A error when restoring.

  The last backup was interrupted when the drive crashed.  I'm trying to restore the one before this one.  The backup drive letter has not changed.

  I solved the problem of 0x8100001A only after I realized that my backup external drive letter does not originally have backup volume that I had created.  I discovered this problem when I ran sdutil.exe and it does not, in the error message, he told me that my original letter of backup volume.  So then I used the disk management utility - windows 7 Control Panel-> system & security-> Admin Tools-> computer management-> storage-> disk management to change the volume of the mount to match the original.  In disk management: right click on the backup volume and change the volume letter to match.

  Once I did, I was able to run successfully sdutil.exe to create the Mediaid.bin file as explained in your link.  Don't forget, you must run "backup and restore" again and don't forget to click on "select another backup to restore from" in order to force it to re-read the new Mediaid.bin file.  Then you can proceed to restore files... good luck.

  I had the BSOD after upgrade to a new processor. I had fixed and had improved from 32 to 64 Vista.  Now, I need to restore my documents, videos, etc. I get an 0x8100001A error code. I looked online for a solution and found a thread on Vista64 (link) to redo the Mediaid.bin file. I get this error code during the performance of the sdutil.exe (renamed abc.exe to type more easily)

  What can I do? Why hasent microsoft tried to solve the problem? I know that the files are there, I can find zip files. The only reason that I didn't just unzip them is because video files are separated between the zippers. This has something to do with my other (link) post? What of the fact that I went from 32 to 64 years (the two Vista Home Basic with the same activation code)? When I change to mediaid mediaID I get access denied as a result.

  I think that I fixed it.  For those of you who need this work, that's what I did.

  I created a new mediaid.bat file as indicated on vista64.

  A ran the restore backup and it has not worked.

  bakcup location it always says the location was unknown... but the restore seems to work fine...

  Hi, I searched some forums and found this script below which I modified. It works great except for a single statement:

  runScript If = 1 then number error -128 I want the script to do is, when a USB drive is mounted and is in the ignoredVolumes as "USB Untitled" I want the script to stop. What I can't understand is, runScript is set to 1, "Untitled USB" Monte, runScript is not changed, why don't the script stops with an error "user cancelled"? On the other hand, if a key USB Monte is not in the ignoredVolumes, runScript is set to 2 and copy the file I want it. What hurts? It's probably something that will be very obvious when I see the answer.

  Great job to test mode without failure. In Safe Mode disables most of the third-party services, it could be a compatibility problem with an application that you have. Check out this article:

  You can not hold account that the title suggests it's to El Capitan. It applies to macOS Sierra as well.

  I found the solution. Just type here for others with the same problem to solve their problems.

  While the "iTunes with cable" sign is showing and in your computer, showing you "Waiting for iPhone" and things occur, you should restart your iPhone (hold sleep/wake low and low home together for a few seconds) implemented after this attempt to restore your iPhone again you should recover your iPhone software.
