  Hi Louis.

  Open DW and connect to the server. Select "Remote View" to see what is
  the server and select the root directory of your site, and then click the button 'Get '.
  (green arrow pointing downwards). You will be asked if you want to get the whole site.
  Click OK and the site will be downloaded to the local directory you
  specified when you set the site in DW.

  By definition, this folder should contain only the elements you don't need.  If I understand correctly, this temporary folder is a place where temporary files are stored during program facilities and the facilities.  However, I have seen references other sites to help saying some programs can store folders and files.

  I do my own temporary file elsewhere, name it accordingly and move all the files in the temp folder to the new folder. Use your computer normally for a while, and if nothing complains about missing files, you have a good indication that none of the moved files are important and should be safe to delete.

  Absolutely without interruption would require a program to write that monitors files on the file locks and triggers a sync as soon as he sees a change.  So, since we cannot just write a program, the best thing is either:

  (1) an icon on your desktop that you can click each time you want to synchronize "synchronize my files now.

  or

  (2) plan the "my sync files' to run automatically every x minutes.  It could be a batch script that checks to see if the file is more recent and copies only files that have changed.  Although perhaps a little aggressive, you could plan this thing check-and-copy-a batch file - again to run every 60 seconds.

  Batch files allow you to control the operations very directly, but Microsoft has also made a (not supported) tool called SyncToy who does all the same things, but has a graphical interface to select your options. It can be programmed to run automatically on a schedule.

  I work with Dreamweaver CS4 on a Windows PC. I have finished my site but I have a lot of files in my local root folder that I don't want to upload to the server. These unwanted files are for most of the photos that I should not be used in my site. I do not understand how to download the site on the server using ftp and remote folder in Dreamweaver. I suppose that if I move the page html files to the remote folder that my photos will not be associated with these html files automatically. I used a Dreamweaver template during the construction of the site. I wish I had a folder with only the necessary files for the site (all html pages and a folder of images) to upload to the server. Is there an easy way to move all my pages and images associated with a folder or remove all unwanted files in the local root folder? As I see it now, I'll have to go through all my pages and write down each title of the photo and then go back and delete each unwanted file. This seems a lot of your time, so I thought that there must be an easier way, I hope.

  I guess you mean 'work' files, not the images that you use in your Web site.

  If they are not related to all pages of your site, you are free to move by using your computer's file management tools. I can give you specific instructions, if you wish, but the short of it is that you do not keep them in the folder root of your site at all.

  In my way of working, I have a folder for each client that includes:

  • The correspondence of this client folder
  • Folder to 'Work'... the PNG images, etc., or of the images from the client
  • Record the site root

  When I get e-mail, I save the message in the appropriate folder of correspondence, I save the images etc in the folder of 'Work' to the customer and I only save images and other who have already been optimized in the Site folder, keep it as intact as possible.

  Even if the general warning must always use the files Panel to move files around, that applies to files which are linked and form part of the structure of your Site. Moving your files 'work' outside of the structure can be carried out safely in windows explore your PC.

Who will be on a file text and make up a dialog that you save the report, which will show the broken links, external links and orphaned files. After you move the files to your heart's content, rerun the link check and confirm that you moved the files you want to move. Make sure that you DON'T move files consciously... do not move the .htaccess files or .cgi files, etc.

  I am trying to create a .exe of my program and it gives users, then helping them install the engines of execution (labview and Visa), finally, I create a few folders on desktop there and add a couple of fichiers.txt/.ini and .bat to these folders. The user then goes through some initial configuration to tell the program to use these files/folders for data entry and record data in this place.

  I want to make this process much simpler by using the installer of labview, I can get this to install my program and all necessary computer execution engines, target but I express this to create the folder structure on the desktop of users and then saying my program where it is. I think I am only telling my program the path of the file of these folders created may be a little complex, but it would be nice to have.

  I'd be happy to create just the files on the desktop and adding the fichiers.txt/.ini/.bat. Any help with this will be appreciated

  Many people like to have a timestamp in their file name.  What makes it unique and gives information on the time of creation of the file.  Here's some code that will create a new file with timestamp name every hour on the hour.  It checks every second to see if the part of the minutes of the time string is '00 '.  If so, it then creates a file name.  The date string sole custody from day to day.

  

  Oops. Just noticed a flaw.  The code creates a new file name every second as long as the record is 00.  Changing the value of within one minute (60000) should solve the problem.

• 0 blocks free PTR - cannot create new files on the data store

  We have been experiencing problems trying to power on virtual machines. When attempting to power on virtual machines, we see the error "cannot extend the pagefile from 0 KB to 2097152 KB".

  We checked the .vswp file are created in the folder of the Virtual Machine on the data store. Connection to the ESXi host, we have seen the following in vmkernel.log error message:

  When we turn off a virtual machine, it will release 1 block of PTR and we would be able to on another VM / create the 20 GB file using "dd". Once we reached 0 free blocks of PTR, we are unable to create new files.

  Can anyone give any suggestions on how we may be able to clear the blocks PTR? We have already tried to restart all services of management on all ESXi hosts connected.

  FreeNAS is not running on a virtual machine.

  We solved the problem by finding a lot PTR blocks have been used by many of our models of virtual machine. Remove the disk models solved the problem.

  I created a custom page where I use a table-style area where I question my VO records, based on a query of outer join. This query contains my table looks, where I would like to insert/update records, and joined the table of standard elements, which is external with my custom table.
  
  When I now question my files in the t, I have a record for each record in the table section, which is ok, but when I 'Refresh' some fields of my custom table and attempt to commit, I get the message "unable to complete the transaction on record. Cause: The record has been deleted by another user. "Action: cancel the transaction and re - query records to get new data.
  The reason why because a record is to be inserted rather than updating because in fact there is not yet in my custom table.
  
  The reason why I'm using the outer join, is because I don't want the user to create a record for each item one by one.

• Help! Deleting files in the local folder removes the Mac HD files.

  After having "achieved" remote folder together, all folders on my desk and all the folders and files related to them (in thousands) appeared in the files of my Local folder Panel. And each of them had a character more next it. Worse, deleting one of these files delete the actual file to my desktop and Mac HD. What can I do?

  The + means that it is a folder, click on it to see the files that it contains.

  DW does not store the files, just some organizes and works with the files on your desktop, so to delete a file in DW it will remove your HD. This is the expected and correct result.

  When you define a site, you must create a folder root for your site to store files (do not use your desktop folder). If you do not create a folder of root to work from, I could see all your office supplies including accidentally in your site.   Everything that was deleted should be restored from a backup, if that's what is happening.
